This ShopRite is in a senior citizen area. Today I went in and there is not one handicap cart working. I asked the manager and he confirmed with a statement “they aren’t working”. He did not apologize offer assistance or offer anything. I know for a fact 3 handicap carts have been sitting in check out aisle for at least 2 weeks. Once again this is a store is surrounded by senior housing. God bless those who can walk the store, I guess the rest of us will be shopping at bound Brook where they have 6 working handicap carts. Thank you for your concern and consideration!!!!I tried going to that website and it doesn’t work. Seems to be a theme for this ShopRite. You have enough information and this review stands. No shopping here if your handicap. Like I said some of us would like walk the store but cant.

The deli at this location has completely gone downhill. The slicers look like they never clean them throughout the day and to top it off it took them an hour to get the order together and it was wrong. The bologna I asked sliced thin at 1/4lbs.. I got 4 thick slices. Seems like "please, thank you and sliced thin" are a thing of the past. The employees always look miserable, have an attitude, and they don't acknowledge a word you say. The lady was so nasty and rude. We will never buy from this deli again! Never had a problem until this new squad of employees were put there as participants.. Do your job or go home.We will be going to Bound Brook from now on where the staff is the complete opposite from this place.

Fresh on the outside and brown in the middle. 04/ 14/24 Becareful. This shoprite has been doing this for awhile. Mixing new meat with old meat. It's not fresh. I came in the morning . There no reason why it's not fresh. I arrive before 8 am . They should be reported to the board of health. There are a lot of stomach problems going around . This can be the problem. People please leave a review if you see it. I can't be the only one. It was in the morning when everything should be fresh . They mixed old, meat and you don't know how long it sat out the day before I left a review last year for the same thing. I see they haven't change. It's a shame .

Sick of buying meat that's only cleaned on 1 side. Skirt steak is the biggest offender. Why am I paying for trimmed meat if it's not trimmed? This is as dishonest as it comes. Do better.

Poor supermarket. Extremely unfriendly staff. Teenage employees working at the self-checkout are always chatting with other staff, not assisting customers, and are unfriendly. Funny thing is, I've frequented the ShopRite in North Brunswick where the staff is very different from here in Somerset; they are more polite and pleasant.

Freshly cook meals cater to the nondiscriminatory customers.... Don't need to cook. Pick up fruits, salad, and soft pretzel bites sure to please the pickiest eaters like me, lol. Worth the trip to this part of the woods.

I noticed quite a few comments regarding meat and meat department issues and that along with my recent experiences leaves me skeptical in continuing to purchase meat at this shop rite. My issue were related to the shop rite boneless chicken breasts. They have been so poorly butchered that much is wasted when preparing the chicken for a meal including rib bones still in the breast. Also twice apples have been brown inside and appeared to have been frozen (no bruising on the outside).

Horrible experience going through the self-check out line. Visited 2/8/24 at around 1:30pm and the 3 ladies working the self-check out section gave us attitude and were extremely rude to us when the register asked for a code to proceed (which was out of our control) and when we asked for help getting our receipt. The employees here seem to lack the customer service skills and/or the patience needed to interact with customers. Yeah, not coming back to this store.

Unfortunately I am unable to shop at the store any longer but I do use the shop at home service. I usually do the pick up and it's been pretty convenient. I've recently had to start using the delivery option and it's been not so great. The past two times I've had items missing that I have indeed paid for. They use uber drivers to deliver. The last uber driver had my groceries for about an hour while he claimed he was lost and could not find my address. Mind you I live 5 mins away from shop rite and on the same street. I tracked the driver at quick chek then at the pizza place having lunch, I suppose, all w my groceries in his trunk. Finally get them delivered only to realize some items are missing. I cannot physically get to the store, so I can't even get them replaced. So on top of the $15 fee and tip to the driver, it also cost me for the items missing. Just be cautious if you get your groceries delivered. Other than that, I actually like this store. It's just a shame that their delivery drivers stink.

i’m very skeptical about seeing all of these positive reviews. this is one of the worst shop rites in the state. i just had the final straw break at the pharmacy counter.this is a medford owned shopright, it was initially owned by the zaille family. mr zaille died and now it appears as if his 11 shoprites are being run into the ground. the boundbrook shoprite has a terrible parking lot but it is superior in every other way.

I stopped by and had the pleasure of meeting Lenny in the food section. He specifically help pick up some of the delicious Bowl & Basket jerk chicken soup. Both knowledgeable and courteous. Every store needs a Lenny. His fellow coworker Justin was great too.

The store itself is good, but there are not enough handicapped parking spots considering the large population of elderly residents living in the nearby developments. Please shop rite mgmt -- add some more of these handicapped slots. Simply meeting the "state requirements" doesn't quite work considering your customer base.

After repeatedly having to write, "We are very concerned to hear about your visit," at what point does a store take action on this? The problems being reported are not a secret, are not isolated, and to not reflect unique events. I don't want a discount or a coupon or a refund. WE, as in your customers, WE want you to be better. That's all. Please stop copy/pasting "concern," and start improving. A quick cruise through recent reviews shows problems with the meat, problems with the produce, problems with check-out, and problems with customer service at check-out. We don't need to go into details here. This is more than enough to take a closer look and see if you can make improvements. Good luck. I mean that. I want you guys to succeed. I don't like having to drive all the way over to Stop & Shop.

A decent ShopRite. It's clean and organized for the most part. The prep food and produce area is spacious & laid of out nicely. Not my favorite ShopRite but it still does the job.

This was my first time at this location of shop rite. I was in the area to pick up a few things to take back with me for the weekend. This location seems to be the only location for a few miles, it was pretty crowded. The prices are always rite at shop rite. If I'm back it the area I will be back.

Time and time again this place is disappointing and extremely frustrating. I don’t know what’s going on with the employees but almost everyone I’ve come in contact with seems to be annoyed by your presence and inconvenienced at doing their job.The logistics of the deli counter make no sense. As there is no ticket system, you need to order from the kiosk. Make sure you do this FIRST THING as you get into the store because it can take upwards of an hour to get your order completed, if at all. To try and circumvent the long wait time, I ordered through the app to go pick up well in advance. When I got to the store, and couldn’t find my order, I was told the app wasn’t working, even thought I got a confirmation that my order was accepted via email. Absolutely ridiculous! No apologies for the inconvenience or attempt to make things right. They almost seem tickled by my misfortune.Today I went to pick up some ribeye steak for my husband at 4:00 and when I got to the butcher’s window it was all blocked off by signs. I peaked into the window and saw the meat slicer still covered in meat, so I assumed the butcher was still there because it hadn’t been cleaned for the evening yet. I waited around for a few minutes and finally gave up and went to ask customer service if there was a butcher working. The general manager, nice enough lady, but hardly sympathetic said “no ma’am he leaves at 3:30 every day.”(1) How can anyone get their meat butchered if they work a standard 9-5 job Monday through Friday? And (2) how can the butcher leave the meat slicer filthy and covered in old meat until the next day? That is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. As convenient as this location is I will never be returning back. Time after time it continually disappoints and causes my blood pressure to rise! Also, good luck entering or exiting the side door. It only works when it wants to, just like their employees.

This is my go to ShopRite. The managers are super nice here. Jennifer is always helpful. She goes above and beyond to help me with any questions I have or if I am not able to find something at the store. 5 stars for ShopRite and 5 stars for Jennifer!

Wow. This is the angriest place on Earth. Why are the workers so disgruntled? If you need cold cuts and have to do shopping and have an hour to kill then doing the kiosk thing and picking up from the little fridge is usually drama free. But if you want to just grab some stuff to make lunch for your kids on a random weekday and have the nerve to go to the deli counter expect the snarly meanies to come out. Just went to get two items. Place was empty. Made eye contact with an older woman who was slicing cheese and smiled. Just to let her know that I was there. She spit the words “ I’m busy you’ll have to wait” under her filthy mask while glaring at me. She then stomped over to a young woman, who must have been about to go on break, and nodding in my direction with disgust said “You’ll have to help him.” And the young miss moaned, rolled her eyes to the back of her head and kinda grunted. Feeling bad for havIng the nerve to need lunch meat, I left. Aside from the butchers who are generally pretty helpful don’t ask questions, don’t assume you’ll be helped and keep your eyes down and go about your business. Overall the store is clean and usually well stocked. But I’m giving it a one star rating because I’d rather go almost anywhere else. I’m going to close with my favorite customer service story from this place. A few months back I went in with my 8 year old son to grab his sister a birthday cake. There were one or two choices that looked good so I called over a middle aged type woman who was just waiting for us to ask if she can write a name and she snapped…” I can’t do that! I don’t have the supplies!” I said “Ma’am. We’re picking out a birthday cake. It’s a happy thing.” To this she mumbled something and left. Another worker apologized and helped us get the cake and lo and behold there were all the cake decorating materials anyone could ever need a few aisles away. Customer service is dead. People are mean. And you wonder why stores close and delivery services are all the rage.

Last I checked I don't work for shoprite so why does this store refuse to have check out lanes open, forcing customers to use the self check out which can be extremely tedious tend to malfunction and get the bare minimum assistance from the few employees present... it's Sunday evening its busy and the lines are long wait time amounted to 15 mins just to pay. Time is money they say. Sigh

They still do it right here. Produce can be a hit or miss, along with the fresh bread area. But this store puts other ShopRites to shame. Perhaps it’s because this ShopRite is relatively secluded and out of the way.

**UpdateGetting worse and worse. Not only is there STILL a severe lack of handicapped parking, but they have closed one entry door to the store where several handicap spots are located. HEY MANAGEMENT -- WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM WITH ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE???Lots of elderly customers needing handicap parking but NOT enough handicap spots. Hey ShopRite, get a clue about your local customers' needs and add some more handicap spots PLEASE. And please don't respond with "with are in compliance with state regulations"...do what's right for your customers.

Why are the bottom of the grocery carts missing??? That's where I usually put bottled water. Why do I have to bag my own groceries??? I'm exhausted by the time I get my groceries home and stored away. So ShopRite can save money??

Just left the store, I was purchasing a few things for my job. I got the things i needed and proceeded to pay, after paying 2 of the staff followed me outside and stopped my stating that the manager wanted to see me. After the 2 employees saw i had a receipt for my purchase they told me that the manager told them to stop me because " I LOOKED LIKE I WAS GOING TO STEAL" . I approached the manager and ask why would he say something like that, naturally he denied ever saying that. before today I would stop there a few times a week because it's on my way home but now I'll never stop there again.

This ShopRite has been my grocery store for 6 years now and I have no major complaints. I've had a handful of inconveniences over the years which aren't worth noting here. My biggest complaint would be the amount of shopping carts with damaged wheels that don't roll properly. I also despise the self checkouts for randomly telling me there are unexpected items in the bagging area but I don't believe that's a problem this ShopRite can do much about. The vast majority of my experiences there have been positive. All in all, it's a good store, but it has its quirks.

This is an excellent ShopRite but the tragedy is that it is not open 24x7. The choice of fruits and vegetables is great. You have 2-3 brands of milk but not too many organic choices. For some reason even the store brand is very expensive compared to Costco milk, which is just as good in quality if not better.

ShopRite often offers deals and promotions to its customers. They frequently have weekly sales, discounts on specific products, and loyalty programs that can help you save money. It's a good idea to check their website, browse their weekly ads, or sign up for their newsletters to stay updated on the latest deals and offers.

This is a really good Shoprite location. It's very large and always very clean. I've never had an issue finding anything that I need and the app is really convenient for you to make a list and know where everything is located. It does tend to get crowded during the peak times, but the line usually moves pretty quickly despite that. The produce here is really good quality and they have a lot of options for ready-made foods.

Been shopping in this store since it opened. The variety and availability of many items has dwindled over the years. Yeah covid, yada, yada, yada but it in september of 2023 not 2020. Many items I used to buy including Ivory dish soap, jello sugar free pudding (kind you cook, not instant), larger bags of Uncle Ben's rice, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, Yoplait light yogurt, spice aisle is a disaster, bread aisle lately empty shelves, fine noodles hard to find, cold cut kiosk does not work (resorted to order online before I get there) , no more Thuman's Kielbasa, finally found a frozen turkey breast after months of looking, many times potatoes rotting in the plastic bags, nothing other than Dove in bars of soap, no more Cameo stainless cleaner, zip lock bags hit or miss and no rhyme or reason as to day of week or time of day. Staff are wonderful, many of the same faces over the years but your inventory is a different matter. Removing the shelves under the shopping carts is a pain when it would be much more convenient to place the shopping bags we now must bring with us there instead of trying to jam them inside cart with the groceries or try to use the child strap to hold them. Many times I needed case of water and had no where to put it with a loaded cart. Guess it's back to Hillsborough and see what situation is there.

This is my least favorite ShopRite but the nearest one to me. I generally find the employees not very helpful or happy with there jobs. I don't see the same in other ShopRite stores I visit in nearby towns. Perhaps the management is behind this.
