The AVE Somerset is pricey, but understandably so as it provides a lot of amenities and easy short term leasing options.The furniture and provided kitchen items are nice, and the housekeeping was always great in providing new sheets/towels and cleaning surfaces inside. The room configurations are good with walk in closets, nice bathrooms, and large beds. The only furniture I wish was included was a desk—I find desks to be pretty standard at a hotel. I know it might be somewhat extra compared to the dining table but it would definitely add value especially in the 2bedroom units.The gym is small but nice and clean, the pool is great, and the location is very convenient: close to the highway, parks, D&R trail, supermarkets, etc. There were a few days of my 6 month stay where finding a parking spot was tricky and i parked somewhere I probably wasnt supposed to, but towards the end of my stay this was never a problem.The staff at the AVE were always very kind and welcoming

best ever! I stay in furnished 2 bed, the rooms are clean and spacious with big windows, everything is well maintained, linens are clean with high quality, dinnerware and glasses for 6 person with high quality, all kinds of cookware you don't need bring anything for kitchen, wifi is gigabyte, even has Ethernet for my desktop, and BEST part is the service team (Kristen, Brooke ...)exceptional customer service!

My stay here was trouble free and it’s a secure and friendly location. The staff has been superb, very attentive and professional. The apartment was just right for me, had the amenities to justify the cost. A very good choice for a short term stay in this area.

We stayed her for 8 weeks during a reno for our home. We could not have chosen a better place. The 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable, spacious, with 3 large TV’s, and was very clean. The kitchen was well appointed. Loved having a balcony with table and chairs. If I needed a few items like extra hangers, a baking pan, etc., it was delivered within a few hours. The gym was well equipped, very clean, and had free yoga classes too. The people in the office were super friendly and always very accommodating. Only accolades for AVE. No complaints whatsoever.

I am totally in love with this place. There furnished apartment start above $2000. The unfurnished 1 bedrooms $1850 per month. They have 6 month and 15 months lease contracts available. The ave in union is more expensive since it is closer to the city but girl i love it here. Amenities include movie theatre, gym, pool, conference rooms, computer offices. Its just 😍😍😍😍.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a one bedroom apartment and ended up getting a one bedroom with a solarium. We really love the place, it's a large size for the two of us and we're extremely pleased with all the amenities and the entire leasing process! We were especially impressed with the excellent service we received from Brooke Crane, the leasing manager. She was able to work with us when we wanted to make changes to our lease and she was diligent with sending us apartment availabilities as they came up. Ave Somerset is an amazing place to live and made even better by the wonderful staff!

I highly recommend the Ave in Somerset for a short term stay. We (and one dog) rented a one bedroom furnished apartment for two months. It was a very pleasurable and comfortable experience. The clubhouse is very nice. The staff was excellent. Even though our stay was short we felt they treated us the same as a yearly renter. We would definitely stay again if we needed a furnished rental.

Ave is the best of the best - management is amazing, maintenance is super responsive to even the smallest requests, and the community doesn't take long to feel like home - not to mention the various amenities that come along with it. Save yourself the time and money of searching and go with this place - it's right in front of you. Trust me, you won't regret it ;)

My husband and I needed a short term furnished rental after we sold our home and our new home was not ready yet. We stayed at Ave Somerset for almost 4 months and I highly recommend the property. The apartment was nicely furnished and very comfortable. I cannot say enough about the staff. Amanda, Brooke, Susan and the entire staff are so friendly, professional and attentive. You can’t go wrong staying here.

I stayed at AVE Somerset for two weeks while in-between homes in July 2020. I can't say enough good about the location. First, we stayed in a furnished 2 bedroom, which was very nice. The kitchen was dated, but everything was there that was needed and everything in the apartment was very clean. We also had a deck overlooking the beautiful pool area. The beds were very comfortable and the design of the apartment was perfect and spacious.Then there is the pool area, which was awesome. A beautiful pool, with even an area to swim laps. The pool was busy throughout the day, but never crowded. In addition to the pool they had a fantastic grill area, with 3 built in industrial quality grills to be used by anyone. We used them 5 nights and it was a really nice amenity.Also as i was working from home due to COVID, i took advantage of the computer area and the two conference rooms that anyone can book for free. I was amazed it was for free, and extremely nice. Also my busy at all.Finally and most importantly was the service and staff at this location. From the day i booked the room, the communication was very good and very professional. Everything was thought of and there was nothing for me to do. At check in and anytime i communicated with the desk, they were friendly and very helpful. In addition to the office staff, anyone i saw around the ground were very nice. The facility is run like a well oiled machine. Every morning at 7am, we would see many people working on the landscaping, cleaning the grills, cleaning the pool area, etc. It is a really really well managed place.Its a long review, but really i was so impressed and it made the two weeks between homes, a sort of vacation for us. I was pleased we chose here. Thanks so much to the staff there.

Moved in today. The move-in process went smoothly, thanks to the ladies in the office. The complex is lovely and clean. The apartment is immaculate. The high end kitchen appliances are great. Looking forward to enjoying some pool time when it warms up a bit. Definitely recommend AVE life!

While I (sadly) did not end up leasing at AVE Somerset, I did want to leave a glowing review for their leasing staff, particularly Amanda H. My housemate and I stopped by for a tour and Amanda was incredibly helpful, friendly, and giving of her time - while being the only one in the office that evening! Having visited a number of communities I know how hectic the leasing office can get, and with one person on duty it can be tough to get all the information you need from your visit. But Amanda was great, she followed up with us in a timely fashion and found us exactly what we were looking for, and met with us a second time when we came back. Our reasons for not choosing AVE were purely logistical, and it was a tough choice! We would definitely recommend this community and its staff.

I have been living in Ave Somerset for roughly 3 years now and could not be happier with an apartment complex. EVERYONE I have had to deal with is great. The front office staff accept deliveries which is amazing and are always helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to any needs I have.Anytime I have any issue, maintenance is fantastic and responsive. I have to shout out Kevin Escobedo, Servando Jimenez and Juan Mancebo. Really this review for the maintenance team is long over due as they have been great from the start. Anytime I have an issue, small or large (I had a water heater spew water at 11pm at the beginning of COVID and Kevin showed up to fix it) the team has been really helpful and prompt. Need a light bulb replaced, Bam they are there. Need a water heater fixed, Bam they are there!Although I've had great experiences over the last 3 years, Juan's above and beyond service prompted me to post this review. Recently, my AC unit died (of course during the hottest week of summer). Juan ordered the replacement parts and spent MANY hours fixing it. He wouldn't give up and ended up finishing around 10PM. I was so grateful and impressed that he cared enough to fix it in one day. He could have pushed it out until the next day (which I suggested) but that wasn't acceptable to him. I could not thank him enough.Thank you so much to all the staff for always going above and beyond.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at AVE Somerset for two and a half months while I needed to undergo some surgery that could not be properly handled by the surgeons in Western NC. We feel that finding AVE Somerset, with their pet-friendly furnished apartments was a blessing!Like another reviewer here, we have been in awe at the considerate, helpful, and wonderfully friendly nature of the staff that work here! They pull out all the stops to ensure that your stay is an exceptional one, and they succeed in this endeavor!Now, nearing the end of our stay, we feel sad to have to leave and return home. Despite the anxiety we had when we got here, over the surgery and follow-up health exams, AVE Somerset has made our stay feel more like an extended vacation!We wish we did not have to leave, and would come back here in a heartbeat if we ever again need a place to stay in central NJ.

This is an extraordinary complex. As a relocator it was the best welcome to a new city. The experience was phenomenal! The customer service was impeccable throughout my stay! This will always be considered as my first home in NJ!!!!! Brooke, Amanda and team made my stay seamless. Sometimes it was hard to distinguish that I had even moved about 4 to 5 states over because of the warm welcome from beginning to end. Whether you're a relocator or considering this as a permanent home, this is the place for you. So many amenties like breakfast every morning with Starbucks coffee!!! Socials and events to further get to know your neighbors and staff. I experienced their furnished apartments with cleaning services performed every Friday. These people really get apartment living, they understand the mechanics of moving and getting acquainted with an area while not having to worry about the small things like what untensils or baking dishes I needed to feel like home! I would definitely recommend this site to anyone who is moving as a relocator, have temporary business commitments as far as traveling for short or long stays...etc!!! I would also recommend this for people who just want to experience a top notch way of living as the expectations exceed apartment living in general!!!

I had the pleasure of living at Ave Somerset during the past year. In my experience of renting both apartments and houses, this was the most professionally-operated apartment community that I have ever interacted with. Brooke, Amanda, and the entire administrative and maintenance staff were always incredibly helpful, professionally communicative, and visibly committed to making the residential experience as enjoyable as possible for all residents. Maintenance and repair requests were few but were always addressed by a well-equipped and well-funded groundskeeping and maintenance staff.In sum, the pros include: Exceptional staff. Impeccable groundskeeping/landscaping and facility maintenance; attractive amenities. Spacious units with laundry rooms the size of a Manhattan (or Hong Kong) apartment The location of Ave Somerset is also a major draw. You are close to the 287, Colonial Park, Bound Brooke (e.g., Costco, Home Depot, the minor league baseball stadium), and 15 minutes away from Rutgers.Those of us who have large or active breed dogs know how challenging it can be to find the right place to live. For those who are considering living at Ave-Somerset with their four-legged counterparts, the rest of this review is for you. Ave is both family-friendly and pet-friendly, with one major caveat. Through no fault of the Ave development, there are simply no sidewalks on the exterior of the property. So while you are within walking distance to Shoprite, CVS, and other venues on Elizabeth Ave, it is not a safe/reliable path to walk on with small children or leashed pets.The pet policies are generally consistent with what you’d find at other similarly situated communities (e.g., non-refundable deposits per pet). There are no weight restrictions on pets (i.e., dogs), and I believe there is a maximum of 2 pets per unit. By way of background, I had a 12-month lease with my 2 medium-sized dogs.In case it was unclear, I highly recommend Ave-Somerset.

The management staff is unbelievably kind and helpful. i have never experienced service like this from a complex before. The amenities are always well-kept and maintained. The apartments are beautiful and comfortable. Never had an insect issue.Cons:There is nothing to do around here. The surrounding area is terribly dull with not much to do. Lots of abandoned homes nearby indicate that no one wants to live around here.Parking can get rather difficult at times. People will park in fire lanes because there are simply no more spots available. This usually only happens in the summer months.The gated entrance is just a bar that opens to let you in. Anyone can get into the complex, but no one around here is threatening or would cause issues if they did enter. The gate is constantly broken. They try fixing it all the time, but the most recent fix involves an awful speed bump and the clickers only work after a million pushes. I'm sure they will be dealing with fixing this soon enough.Windows are a bit thin so you can hear trucks going by.Overall, I did enjoy living here and I would recommend it. Management will always do everything they can to ensure you're happy and comfortable. They don't play games and they treat everyone with the utmost respect.

We have been staying with Ave communities for almost 3 years now with union and moved to Ave somerset from last 2 years.. hands down one of the fantastic place to live with remarkable service and facilities they offer is bang for the buck- be it breakfast, conf rooms, gym , sauna , pool and what not.. both sales team and maintainece team have been service oriented to tenants and there hasn't been a single occasion that I felt let down.. great service guys keep up the standard am sure you are setting benchmarks and raising the bar for community living
