Having a 20 item limit in self checkout is such a waste of what was once an efficient resource. Most people in self checkout are so much faster compared to the standard checkout lanes with only a few items. I hope ShopRite reverses this policy.

Pros: clean, well organized, lovely employees. Everything that you want is in stock.Cons: the onions are never fresh? Doesn't matter if it's day or night, rain or shine, the onions always look like they're about to spoil. Docking stars for that.

As my local supermarket. I thinkIt's time to start getting more Natural foods. Yoy sell today foods that are not save to eat from chemicals. It's really the goverment that needs to change what is aloud in our foods. Maybe you could be better then the government and give us a isle of all natural foods. Thanks 😄

2/18/2024: 1pm: If Shoprite Somers Point is trying to lose customers I'd give them 5 stars. The short older woman with black hair at the far end self checkout was enjoying verbally abusing customers about to use self checkout telling them they have more than 20 items. From now on I'm only shopping there when I have to. The store seems to be going downhill. (Jim G)

If you’d like to get a contact high while shopping you should come here. I came home and my jacket reeks of weed from this store. It was down all the freezer aisles and the entire back of the store. Absolutely wild. Also, if you demand customers use the checkout lanes maybe you should have more than one or two open. I got yelled at by an employee halfway through self checkout because I didn’t use the one checkout lane available that was 6 people deep. But apparently me using a self checkout when nobody else is there is a crime against humanity to the point where they have their little security guard stand behind you. As someone who comes here weekly I won’t be back. I don’t appreciate the attitudes at 8pm when I’m just trying to get in and out.

After spending thousands and thousands dollars over the years you pushed me to the point that I was discussed yesterday...you forced 2 ppl on self check in to breathe on my neck while I was scanning and make sure that I don't have over 20 items... very rude employees! You should appreciate and value your loyal customers...guess what you start to losing them over the night! I see more and more ppl in all other stores...the only sector that is the reason that I am going there is your meat section and those butchers are more polite than your customer service...all fruits that you have on sale are for trash . Frozen,defrosted..very expensive...I was in situation few times to call customer service and request to talk with manager to tell them that I don't even need my money back but how dare they to sell bad quality items with a big sale sign on it.hahahaha....you are the one who caused the problem!!!you cut human employees and built self check ins ,at one point I feel bad for people who still need that minimum wage...now when everything went down the hill you hardly can hire someone suitable to work on registers..they are either over 65y old or way to young that they don't want to work in fast food chains anymore...and than you hired armed cop on exit to what ?!??! SCARE your customers...hahhaha.. and btw I am white ,45y old mom of 3 teenagers...who you forced to never go back !!!!

They sell the bread in a special bag to give it a different appearance, but if the inside of the bread is not cooked, it is inedible. I throw away the inside of the bread..As if Italians have made a name for themselves, they don't know how to bake bread, believe me.. This picture is literally mud. You knead the inside of the bread like dough with both hands..When you look at the price, higher than other's, You also think that the bread is of very high quality.

Self check out is 20 items or less but they dont open more check outs so you have to wait in long lines for 23 items and the employees in self check are very rude. I think it’s time to switch stores the amount of time it now takes to me at the store is ridiculous.

I live 2 minutes away from this store and visit it almost everyday with no issues. Today was the first time I see a cashier there with an attitude and bad temper like “Linda”. Hope they hire more polite and welcoming people.

They are a pretty big grocery store have a lot of different products. My complaint is the sales. I don't wanna have to download stuff in order to take advantage of a sale. And often they will be out of the sale item but have a product not on sale in the same area of a bait and switch not as bad as acmes deceptive practices but close

My wife wanted fresh cut salami and was told by deli attendees she had to buy precut , when she got it and opened it, it Gray! Disgusting!!

Quick if you know what you need but don't get distracted and remember that "Cooking with Max Miller" episode you can't seem to get out of your head for a Monk's Feast or a Pizzia from Pompeii, or you'll be cruising the isle for hours thinking of variations you want to try with the near endless possibilities in the isles here in Shoprite.

Because of it's size , this store has many more options than other smaller stores in the area. Clean and welcoming. There are many more organic and gourmet selections here which I love. I definitely find products here I can't find in other ShopRites. The layout is spaced out nicely. They have a vast and varied produce section. The seafood counter is better as well.

I appreciate all of the different varieties this store has. A huge salad bar and hot foods to go bar. This store has more to offer than the other shop rites i have been to. The store is clean, they move fast and have friendly cashiers.

By far the worst pick up service. Always waiting >30 minutes for my order to come out. I stopped coming for months and recently resumed and it’s still just as terrible. Also always saying they are out of things and not offering a substitution, and then I go inside and they in fact have them. Last time I will be doing this. Tried again because I love the store itself but never again. Acme is much better for pick up.

It is amazing that SR has been able to manage great selection of products, especially fish and sea products, at affordable prices being de facto a seasonal/vacation store. Salad bar offers many options as well.

You have an awesome selection, but I do want to point out one observation that can be approved upon.It was great that you put in self check out on the left side of the store but the last two times I was in the store they were closed because I was told of personal call outs etc. The self check out on the right side had a line halfway down one of the aisles. However several registers were open with lines and my thought is why not take one person off the register to manage the self check out on the right side which will service several people at the same time which would be more efficient.

ShopRite English Creek is where I shop but I went to the Somers Point ShopRite was in the area ordered my deli using their app. Which I love everything was to be done at 4:30 to pick up and it was sliced perfect I added a little picture just show you how nice the meats were for that service I give them all 10 downside went there for the lobster bisque soup had none not even one that was disappointing other than that it's a gorgeous store much better than egg Harbor township lot of traffic in the area definitely a place to go also when I got home the lunch meat was cut perfect the way I requested it so I made some regular subs I'll show you some pictures

This is a larger Shoprite than I am used to. Probably the nicest Shoprite so far. Most obvious to me was the expanded Deli and Bakery. A really nice supermarket!

2 staffed check out lanes. And now the self checkout has a 20 item limit. What is this a conviennce sure. What a joke. I only come here if i need s few things. Not worth waiting 20 minutes to check out at a one of 2 staffed lanes if you have more than 20 items. parking is a pain bring your own bags.

Very big place. Employees are nice. Alot of different food stations to buy from. Fresh food. Clean store. Fast service. The pharmacy staff are helpful and nice. The place is well organized. Will be visiting this supermarket and PHARMACY more often.

They have so many of the organic and high quality ingredients I only used to be able to get at Whole Foods BUT they insist on wrapping organic produce in packs of 2 in plastic wrap for absolutely no reason. Shame!

I always get pick-up, just got to learn the best times to go. Not at 5pm weekday! The customer service is always helpful and professional. Wednesdays seem to be the best day for pick up and the bags can be reused when they drop off your order if you specify.
