Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately I will not be buying from this store again. I bought two bags of food this month and both times the food was infested with bugs. First time I was like oh well this happens. Second time is unacceptable. Called the store and the guy was very dismissive saying that this couldn’t have happened. Well look at this picture. That is a nest of bugs. Opened the bag as soon as I got home and was greeted with this. Giant nest in the bag and bugs crawling all over. Would not recommend buying food from this place so your pets don’t get sick.

Had an unpleasant experience while self grooming my dog. Other customer entered the washroom while my dog, that has high anxiety, was being cleaned. This woman literally saw me enter the washroom and decided to intrude, causing my dog to go into to a panic attack. She came out the room facing toward me and stared at my dog and myself. It was VERY uncomfortable, and I did not feel safe at all. The store staff wasn't much of a help either, so I left with my dog STILL wet from grooming because of SAFETY reasons. Had there been someone of authority there maybe my safety wouldn't be at risk. I didn't think I would ever have an experience at a pet store, especially at pet supplies plus.

Went here for the first time to give my dog a bath. I’ve been to the cedar knoll location in the past before moving and I remember them having the punch cards. I was SHOCKED that 5 baths cost 40 dollars. And on top of that the bathing area was old and smelled so strongly of mold and mildew. You also can control the temperature in there and the whole area looks run down. I called cedar knoll today to find out that they only charge 25 dollars for 5 baths. Apparently the stores are able to set their own prices. What a rip off! I would have never gone there if I knew it was going to be so expensive. Honestly how do you even justify that? If your dog needs a bath take them to cedar knoll pet supply plus. It’s 10 times nicer and you’ll save 50%!

Came here for a self wash. The area was dirty as hell looks like it hasnt been cleaned at all. Hair every where on all the hoses and shampoo bottles and floor and walls. Even a bottle of suave human shampoo looked like someone took a shower and shaved in the area or something.

i went to get my dogs nails trimmed since they were outgrown and he is a bit older and the groomer Kanesha was amazing and so caring during the process and made sure he was relaxed! highly recommend her for your grooming services!!!

This used to be one of my favorite places to shop. But, after today, I’m not so sure. It took 2 employees, the manager, and almost 30 minutes to properly charge me when I was overcharged. Thank goodness I checked my receipt! Worst yet, they acted annoyed that I disturbed their chilling at the register to ask that I be charged the advertised price.

Extremely disappointed. I love Pet Supplies Plus and often go out of my way to shop here. I had coupons and the original employee was very nice and apologetic. He had to get his manager who was very rude for my manufacturer coupon. She said I had to have it printed, it was for small business Saturday. I did not have a printer working and I asked if I can email it to them and she said “if it works” with a rude attitude. So I just gave up. I then had a coupon code which was from a third party but it would have allowed me to order it on the website. She said we do not take third party coupons. So if I had walked outside, did a curbside, the coupon would have worked but i couldn’t just tell them the code….. I will be going to PSPs in other locations due to this change of policy and rude customer service.

Update: we stopped back in after another vet visit and unfortunately I have to change my review because we encountered some less than helpful and unfriendly staff. When we first walked in there was a basket of items with a small price tag indicating that item was only $3.48. I asked at the register and was told no that was wrong… as I was paying the person offered to adjust the price and I said I had already checked out. When I went back out in the car and told my husband he told me to go back in and take the adjusted price. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a person who I can’t believe is a manager named Gina. She was rude and aggressive, told me that that was not the actual price and tried to explain why in a nasty voice. She then said “I’m not going to argue over a dog toy”… which made me laugh because she was actually making a huge deal over it and arguing with me. She did honor the price but honestly not worth the argument and dealing with such a rude person when I was in a hurry.We normally stop by here after going to the vet so very convenient. They have a good selection of treats and dog food. I like that we can bring our pet. We used to bring our dog here for the VIP pet vaccine clinics and I wish they would bring it back. Staff members are friendly.

I shop at Pet Supplies Plus in Short Hils and find the store just great. They have a very good selection of excellent cat food. I shop there because of the healthy cat food they carry like the Wellness brand. I know I can trust them to offer good quality healthy cat food I can't get elsewhere. Sales members are always available, ready to answer questions and help me with the purchase. The store is extremely clean, another significant reason why I shop there.The employees are extremely helpful and friendly and the Store Manager is tremendous...when I left my pocketbook in my cart by accident, she placed it in her office for safekeeping and returned it to me when I realized my mistake and returned to the store in a panic. What honesty, I am forever grateful to her. Thank you Pet Supplies Plus Short Hills for such wonderful and honest employees.

Staff is friendly and helpful.Update 2 years later: I bring my large dog in for grooming here regularly and the groomers are amazing! Thank you to all the lovely staff who do a great job.

This is the best location to get all your pet needs. The staff is so helpful and always cheerfully greets my pup. The prices and sales are excellent and they have a great selection of freeze dried raw food. I’ve shopped here for years and will continue to do so!!

The store is clean and nice. staffs are all very helpful and friendly. However, i have to say that the self bath service is still awful. the towels are dirty. the equipments are always broken. every time i use it, the sink always seem to be dirty. it has improved from before for sure since there's no time limit anymore but still it's way worse than the pet supplies plus self bath i had elsewhere. i hate to leave a negative review. but hopefully this could help the owner in the future.

Pet supplies was once my only store to buy pet supplies. They repair it in ability to combine. Reward points with checkout is disappointing and time consuming. In addition the. Staffing for me that this has been a reoccurring problem and has yet to be solved. When I have accumulated enough points for a new month supply of food, I will officially switch my shopping to Petsmart.

I love Pet Supply Plus! This is the best location in the area in my opinion. I find most of the staff to be very knowledgeable and we mostly have a positive and great experience shopping here. When issues arrive; they are quick to solve and provide much customer satisfaction . I love their sales and their promotions as well. This is the best one to go to in Essex.

So happy to have this store conveniently located! It is my go-to spot for everything that my dogs and my cat need.The best part is that Gina the manager and many of the workers there know my dogs and always greet them kindly when we visit the store and they are all very knowledgeable of the products and are always helpful in providing suggestions or tips and advice.Another plus is that they have both a grooming station and a self-service bathing area which is what my dogs prefer.Sign up to receive coupons; it's well worth it!

It's tough to rate a pet store because it's more about my pets experience than mine. But this locations staff(from management all the way to cashiers)..has been helpful more than once, I lost my wallet there once and they retrieved it for me within a day no problem. Very friendly people.. I subscribe to their circular online and they also have really good/great brands to choose from and they often run some pretty good discounts and deals.

Friendly and helpful staff, lower prices than some of the other area pet stores with a great selection. Also, pet supplies plus in short Hills has the only self wash dog station that I know of anywhere around here. I have a large, smelly lab mix who does not need high-end grooming – waste of money – so having a place 10 minutes from my home where I can go seven days a week to wash her at a reasonable price is really great, especially in the winter. Ask for the punch card – I think it’s five self-washes for $40. They provide everything you need, including a tie up, clean towels, and shampoo. Bring your own dog brush for hygiene purposes. Everyone is masked and the store is very clean. Please note that they do not sell crickets for reptiles, or reptiles that I know of, or birds, or hamsters or other small rodents, however they do sell fish and ferrets. The store carries supplies, however, for all of these animals.

Very nice place. Everyone there is so nice and very professional. I just found out Jordan (Manager) does not work there anymore. He was very nice and professional and helpful. Sorry to hear that he is not there anymore. I went there today and I met the new manager, Michelle and she was very nice and helpful also. I highly recommend this pet store for all your needs and the prices are great and they have great sales. They also do price match. Highly recommend this place.

Affordable with monthly sales and they always have a clearance aisle for each section cat/dog/reptile/bird. Better yet, they offer price match for any their competitors (online offers don't count which is standard honestly).I own two cats. A great example of prices: Pro Plan wet cans cost $0.89-0.87 on average and they have amazing sales from $0.65 (once even $0.55) to $0.75 on average. For all cat owners -their sales are best for wet cat food, cat litter, and then their monthly deals but don't get high hopes with dry food.The staff is friendly.My only tip -come around often to catch great sales, always look at the dog aisle for doggy beds and dog blankets since they're often cheaper. I do the same with collars. And when you find a great sale, stock up if you can.
