First time vacationing in the area. This was my go to place for tackle and bait. Great service and a good in store selection.Had a family feel to the business and not the big chain pressure sell feel.Definitely would recommend if you are in the area looking for bait/ tackle or just to talk about what’s biting in the area.P.s the dog was is super awesome and will greet you.10/10 for me.

This is a great place to visit on the island. The owner is awesome , helpful and very knowledgable about the local fishing scene.Over the years I’ve purchased 3 rods here and all of my tackle. The prices are great and the conversation even better. I would recommend going here before heading out to tge beach to fish, the owner can tell you whats running and what people are catching with what rigs and baits

I have to say that the Red Dog Bait and Tackle is the best shop to go to get fishing equipment in Sea Isle City. The owner is so friendly and helpful with tips about how to use certain reels or rigs for salt water fishing. If I come back to Sea Isle in the future for vacation, I will stop and get my fishing equipment right at this location. The prices were very reasonable and had all the things I needed to fish.

Red dog bait and tackle is a traditional tackle store catering to surf casting. Don't expect to find a ton a variety or the best of the best here. This store will give you insights into what people are catching off what baits/ tackle to use and make sure you are ready to go.

We saw so much success this week with fishing, and much of it was from the advice we received at Red Dog Bait & Tackle. The suggestions of what live bait to use in this particular area and which set ups were really helpful! We will definitely be back to this shop when we go back to the area.

Friendly, honest, and knowledgable service. Wide selection of bait and tackle. Great prices on reel repair without any "inspection fees.". Our most recent reel repair turned out cheaper than quoted, which is always a nice surprise.

Cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service that Eric and Jim provide at Red Dog. They help me get 2 adult rods rigged up and 2 kids rods rigged up. They rigged up a surf rod and another slightly smaller rod I have which I used off of the 59th Street dock. For a somewhat novice fisherman like myself they were unbelievably helpful. I was down for memorial day weekend and end up catching a 23" Striper which was my first one. They have everything you need including really good clam for bait. I got bait last summer at another tackle shop near Townsends Inlet and the clam was terrible.They refused the tip but right before I walked out the door, I threw $15 on the register so they had no other choice!!Thanks Eric and Rob!! See you guys week of July 9th!
