Wonderful family owned place! Rented a boat to go crabbing and will definitely be going back! Great pricing for the day and very welcoming workers. We forgot a net but went right back, the kids who work there were right by the dock and very helpful! Made it even better they have clean bathrooms and a hose to rinse off! =)

I had booked 2 skiffs with canopy online. We we were running late but they were very accommodating. And when we couldn’t get the motor going again, we called them and the instructions were simple and easy to follow. They’re very friendly. Great parking spot and beautiful view. Very nice customer service.

Great day to rent a boat from Larsen's! They had all the supplies we needing for a full day of crabbing. Super friendly and helpful staff, even helped carry out coolers off the boat! Highly recommend this place for boat rentals!

Great spot been going there since I was a kid. Great people and service. Only complaint is they are slow when the morning rush hits. Would be a LOT faster if they had bags of bunker pre weighed and ready to go and perhaps a cash register that was made this century. But all in all, love it and will come back every year!

This review is long overdue. I met John when my wife and I bought a place off of route 9 last year. I have rented almost every weekend since. From the beginning John and his staff have been professional, friendly, and willing to share their knowledge to ensure you have the best day you can on the water. The boats are clean and well serviced. If you have a free day and want to go fishing, crabbing, or just enjoy a day on the water you cant go wrong with Larsen's.

We’ve been renting boats from Larsen’s for the past five years for our annual crabbing outing. Very nice people, always delivering top quality customer service. They have a good selection of tackle supplies, as well as a wide variety of bait. The boats themselves are kept very well, both cosmetically and mechanically. You do not need a license to operate them, and the kind staff are more than happy to assist and give tutorials to first-time operators. They will also help give directions and mark the map for the best spots to go for your specific activity.Additionally, despite what others have said, we’ve never had a problem with getting our security deposit back; like it or not, if you return significantly late, this is how you get penalized, simple as that. Avoid doing this, and you’ll have a pleasant experience here. Also, make sure to save your rental receipt, as you get 10% off your check at the adjacent Bay Breeze Cafe if you present it. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

I've gone crabbing just about every year and rent from Larsens, and they're always very friendly and professional. These idiots saying they're experienced and caught nothing because they missed the "morning hours" are flat out lying. Morning has nothing to do with it, and you're reviewing a place based on boat rentals and trap/bait sales. Not based on your own incompetence when crabbing. Always caught 10-20 crabs in a 4 to 5 hour period, and Larsens is the best place to get a boat and bait in jersey!

I've been to a lot of beach towns and been to a lot more beach town vendors... These guys were great, seriously. They were very upfront and helpful with all pertinent information. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time with their rental. For me, they are my new mark of excellence that I will judge all future endeavors. We are in Avalon, but started going to Larson's one day when the Avalon Marine Center pumps were broken. The owner was super friendly and his employees quite helpful. It's now our go-to place for fueling up!

We were in sea isle for a week of family vacation. We rented two boats, one went fishing and the other crabbing. Both boats had a great time. Everyone working at the marina was working hard and super friendly. Definitely recommend!

So much fun! Kept my 3 kids busy and anticipating their catch. Peaceful and relaxing for my husband and I. A nice break from the sand and beach. Make sure you buy the bug spray they offer because it works!. Spray the canopy of the boat as well as your entire clothing and exposed skin. Watch out for the seagulls they want what you catch and are anticipating you dropping your bait. Do not leave your fish bait exposed. Have fun!

Would give 0 stars if I could. This place is so completely unprofessional. We spent hours on our boat with our two young children catching crabs. Caught a giant crab that our kids were so excited about taking home. Though we did not ask for help, their incompetent staff dumped our crab bucket out on the dock and our crab back in the water in the process. When I approached the manager to explain the situation, he handled it in a completely unprofessional and agitated manner and although he “apologized”, his attitude and demeanor made it very clear that he was not sorry. There are a lot of other boat companies in the are—give your business to one of them.

Went crabbing here today 6/25. Got there at 5:45 am only to wait for an hour and fifteen minutes for them to open up. It says 6 am it opens every day and they opened at 7. So it was very frustrating to wake up super early, take the hour drive then just wait.Anyone experienced in crabbing knows the most successful hours are the early morning hours. We are very experienced in crabbing and in all the years I've done it, personally, I don't think there was one occasion when I've caught under 3 dozen crabs. (That includes me and 1 maybe 2 other people I was with) today, I caught zero. Not even 1 small crab. My wife and dad caught 5 between them 2, but me zero. I had to give this place 1 star because it wouldn't let me give zero, but that's ok, I'll just stick to my old spots.

Went there for crabbing this morning we called early in the week to reserve and were told 6 am which we knew as we go several times a season. We got there at 5:45 am and nobody got there until 6:50 am. We were brushed off when we complained. We had the worst crabbing trip we have ever had with 5 crabs n 4 were from the marina waiting for the place to open. We were offered nothing after 2 complaints. Will not be back after years of crabbing and will be sure to let people know not to go there. Very disappointed.

A great place to rent boats , get gas for your boat. Great place to hang out watch the many boats travel the water way in season. I hang out here off season to watch sunset. Owner is always pleasant and professional.

My family and went to larsons on Sunday 8/10 we rented a boat to crab off of and since this was my first time renting a boat to crab off of I was unsure on where to go and what way to crab. I had some traps that I thought would be the best way. However the gentlemen at the counter was extremely helpful got us hooked up with hand lines which were a great success and a lot of fun. Plus he directed us to a good spot to catch crabs. I would definitely recommend Larsons to anyone. Definitely a good time was had by all. I would like to note that if the gentlemen did not recommend the hand lines it would of been an absolute disaster of a trip not only would the kids been bored but we would not have caught a single crab. Thank you Larsons we will definitely be back soon

Seems nice we rented two boats with accessories. Spent about $200.00 I took kids ob my boat my wife took several kids on her boat. Only went out for 2 minutes and her boat turned off and wouldn't start. She was stranded I had to try and get her back. When we got back they refused to give any refund and we only ask for about $70.00 the price of one boat. I would not go here again. I told them I would write this and they said who cares. That's bad buisness and not fair to customers

Went in for a last minute boat rental. Price was very reasonable, the guy working (can't remember his name) was very friendly, the dock dog (golden retreiver) was very friendly and a great mascot. Would definitely recommend!

Top notch boat rentals the owner and the daughter was very pleasant very thorough instructions and also presented a map the weather was not presentable but we still had a great time and the party of five that we had rode around (sic) and ordered 6crab cakes from different places and truly Larsen has the best crab cakes n the area
