Warm and friendly environment. All the food is freshly prepared, home cooking with a flair. The baked goods are plentiful and delicious. I drive 2 hours to go to this hidden gem. Caleb brews the best latte, coffee and hot beverages so save room for a speciality drink and some dessert. Not feeling well? Talk to Kim, the owner and she can put together some teas to fix what ails you. They also cater and sell cookie trays. Their prices are incredibly low considering the fresh ingredients.

Java Dog is very atmospheric, but I'm not sure what the atmosphere is; aestheticly the interior decor is great, but confusing; like the convergence of a honkey-tonk and a hipster cafe. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be eating alongside preachers or magnificent geeks.I absolutely love this place; the food, the coffee, the cookies and cakes are great; but the tea is mind-blowingly good. And ever since the Greystone Cafe in Pennsville went belly-up, this is the only place to get quiche in the county!Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp of wood.

This little hometown spot is a gem. All food is home-made when you order it, so you get exactly what you want. Daily specials and home made cookies and deserts are very popular, and they specialize in fresh ground and brewed coffee and tea. Seating capacity is small, and if the owners don't know you, they will by time you leave. Prices are very reasonable. They serve breakfast till 11am, then lunch till 3pm, closing at 4pm, weekdays only. I will definitely be returning!

I'm from NC and was visiting an old friend in Stow Creek who took me to Java Dog Coffee and Tea for lunch. She recommended the grilled cheese. I don't usually eat gluten but we split one and I couldn't wait to tell my husband how good it was!! Next time we visit I will definitely take him there!! It's just a lovely quiet Queen little place to eat!! I loved it!!

I attended a catered function at which Java Dog provided the food. It was delicious! The pasta (in wine sauce) was scrumptious, the potatoes and green beans were just right and yummy. Since many of the attendees were plant-based, the food was prepared so that all could enjoy and have plenty to consume! AND there were vegan muffins! The service was warm and friendly, too! It was a pleasure to meet everyone from Java Dog. I don't live near Salem but when I visit, I will be sure to stop in!

Was in a long line at the DMV, saw this little restaurant across the street. I would have been happy with mediocre food. However, I ordered a chicken salad croissant, which came with a side, and 3 chocolate chips cookies, and a water. 8 bucks! Chicken salad was homemade and delicious. 45 minutes from my home, definitely will be back before my car needs inspection again!

Visit here everyday when I'm off on weekdays for coffee and breakfast and sometimes lunch. The coffee is second to none in the area. The food is 100% legit home cooked. To describe it best is it's like your grandmother cooked it. None of the dishes I've had resemble restaurant or diner food in any way. It is REAL made fresh to order every single time. Haven't had a bad meal or soup ever from this gem. If you haven't been here you are absolutely missing out. Very easy and relaxing atmosphere.

Hidden Gem! A nice change of pace. So far everything I have tried has been delicious and fresh. I would like the flat bread to be a little thinner but I think that's just my preference. The beverages are tastier then name brand coffee chains' coffee drinks. This place has the fancy offerings of a snubby city Cafe but delivers them with a down home country flare! I highly recommend giving this place a try if you can...check the hours before you go!

Caprese grilled cheese was fantastic.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options (grilled cheese, veggie wrap) but no vegan options outside of salad with no cheese or meat on it and the veggie wrap wino cheese.Parking: Small parking lot in front with some additional parking behind the buildingWheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible.

Have been here on many occasions as our rest stop on bicycling excursions with Outdoor Club of South Jersey (OSCJ) and what a fantastic place! The food is wonderful...love the grilled cheese with granny smith apple. We will continue coming here, service is great and very friendly people. Please support local business!

Staff was very open, kind, and quick to take our order. The food is alot better than what you would get at any fast food restaurant, but takes a little bit longer, but the wait is worth it. They have a good selection of different Teas and coffee drinks aswell.

From the exterior of the building, one would never guess the delicious assortment of teas and coffee; baked goods, wraps and sandwiches to be found inside. I attended a closed event today, so I am not sure what is on the menu on a daily basis, but if today's fare was representative, you will be delighted. The owner and her daughter were delightful, helpful, and informative.After our ladies tea, I left with a large bag of goodies - both teas (some are personally blemded by the proprietor) and a Rwandan coffee that has been difficult for me to find. They also sell local honey (Harveys delicious single source honeys), assorted loose tea brewing methods, locally thrown pottery, and local art. I was very pleased and will visit again.

A quaint, relaxing place to get a bite to eat. My bite included a Texan Weiner. So good! Reminded me of the ones from the old Texas Weiner restaurant in Salem. Service was fast and efficient!

I was on my way to work to begin an early morning. I walked right it as they opened, generally a no-no for other places, and they greeted me like they were open for hours.I got a vanilla chai latte--my main purpose for coming--but decided to get a breakfast sandwich. With apologies to my girlfriend, that was the best decision I had made in months. Everything bagel with egg, cheese and pork roll. AMAZING. Ate half and saving the other half for lunch.Do yourself a favor and go there, plus you can buy art there. Pretty cool.

Always up for a cold wet dog. Like a frappacino and can get any mixture of flavors you want. Not as sweet as big brand coffee drinks. Salads are huge!! Sandwiches are fantastic always.
