Ever have one of those unexpected good moves? Well it's a gloomy Sunday afternoon and we are between our grandsons soccer match in Hillsdale and a baseball play off in Closter. So we are on Westwood Ave. in River Vale and stop at Vale Coffee Shop. GOOD MOVE! The coffee was freshly brewed and perfect. We also shared a piece of Chocolate Crumb cake outstanding. We also had homemade caramel to go.The owner was our barista.Make it a stop! you will enjoy the experience - and after 10 cups you get one free, ask for the cardParking: On the street parking or in the rear lot

My family and I had a coffee break and snacks here. Very clean business with a cozy ambience. They have a good sized dine-in area with multiple tables, including seats by the windows and a large table that can seat up to eight people. I could definitely see myself studying or spending some time reading here. They have sweet and savory food options. I got a BLT on a whole grain croissant and it was a filling serving with a complimentary pickle on the side -- it hit the spot! I appreciated that it was made to order and not just reheated in a microwave. All coffee drinks can be made with decaf espresso and they have non-dairy milk options. The owners were friendly and had their kids at the shoppe, too. I think prices are fair and I love that this is a family-run, small business. I'd definitely visit again. I want to try their egg cream soda next time (does not actually have egg in it).Kid-friendliness: There are board games and a large enough seating area with tables for kids to sit at or walk around. There are drinks (e.g. chocolate milk or organic juices) and snacks or treats (e.g. cake pops) for kids.

I love it here. I've been to Vale a few times and its such an adorable coffee shop with a great vibe. It's a perfect spot to come and study or sit and chat with a friend. The coffee is authentic and rich. I recommend the mocha latte and any of their baked goods. Everything on their menu is made with love and delicious. Highly recommend!!

My daughter and I visited Vale Coffee Shoppe this morning. We had been looking forward to having a coffee place local to town and were not disappointed. The staff was incredibly friendly and the coffee was delicious. My daughter also gives 5 stars for the hot chocolate. Can't wait to visit again.
