Basically good and convenient store in Ringwood. I do wish the vegetables and fruit were fresher, and that there were more cashiers/ checkouts better staffed.

In the last 3 weeks, old stale tomatoes. Rotten shallots, today it's old nasty foxy Romaine lettuce, I bought it because the iceberg lettuce clearly was rotten. Half the time the strawberries are moldy inside the pack. It's exhausting. Quit buying any meat there at all years ago. That pre packed mystery meat,( beef?) has zero flavor. All the pork is Chinese owned companies. I don't want to drop $4.00 on gas to return this stuff every time I go. The other stores,(Inserra), are great but for a bag of lettuce for tonight's tacos really should not force me to drive well into another town. Might as well, whoever is in there shaking the place up you need to look around and pretend you need to bring this stuff home to you and your kids. You don't need to respond. I'm a Ringwood resident for 65 years. Maybe if you bring the residents that worked there 6 months ago someone might care.

The check out lines are usually short and efficient. The delicatessen staff are pleasant, fast and give you exactly the slice thickness you request. They are very friendly and work well together. The bakery staff are also very pleasant and accommodating. Overall, a great supermarket to shop at.

Don’t usually write reviews.I’ve been shopping here for 17 years, I really appreciate having this store in our small town. Some people complain about pricing, try shopping in a New York City grocery store.I find the store managers and staff consistently helpful. I can call in advance and they will check stock for me.A special mention for Clarence. In the evenings, I can get there pretty late, Clarence will search to find me a fresh barbecue chicken and then follows it up with a pretty good joke.

Good local supermarket, but needs more wholesome organic produce. Great variety otherwise and they hire local talent.Update Sep 2023- organic foods are much more plentiful now, with good volume and quality. It is a pleasure to feed my family from the wholesome variety here. And the local people working here are a joy.

General selection and cleanliness is good, they have some good seasonal products too, quality of vegetables so-so, usually never enough checkers, almost always an annoying long wait to check out. We are starting to use Amazon Whole Foods Delivery to get better quality of vegetables and skip the long check out.

It’s a smaller supermarket and the deals aren’t as good as ShopRite, but it’s serviceable if you just need to grab a few items. The staff is usually friendly and helpful.

Very disappointed with their product quality, I purchased a small bell pepper bag almost half were bad , I purchased bacon and when I cooked it , it smelled horrible. I went to tell the lady at customer service and refuse to give my refund unless I took the expired items back with my receipt, but she didn’t do anything about it because I only had my receipt and not the spoiled items , who keeps spoiled items stinking up their fridge!! That’s disgusting! I’m not just going to go and make this stuff up , and if I took my time to go in there to tell them , it’s so they could check their lot numbers and if necessary make a recall or just check their stuff . But all she cared about was if I brought back the spoiled item , a picture was not enough. You might want to double check your return policy, no one keeps their spoiled items , just saying .My only guess has to be that once they receive merchandise, they are not refrigerating it quick enough , because it’s not the first time that this happens .Some cashiers are polite but one I had this week didn’t even greet me or even acknowledge me until she told me my total , that’s all she said , not even have a nice nothing , but kept having a conversation with her workmate she was chatty there , just super rude .I just left with a feeling of not wanting to come back . Bad combination guys ,bad quality products + bad customer service, not good .Which is a shame because it’s the only thing near me , but with those experiences I rather drive further to get what I need , I don’t even care . Read all your reviews and yes your going to reply with so sorry ,we’re trying to improve, but come on it’s been 3 years with this same complaint according to the reviews . How much time do you need ? Anyways just very disappointed, never had an experience like this anywhere else , wish the best for your store . By the way I never leave reviews this is a first for me , that’s just how dissatisfied I am with your services.

It's small, and it's a store for reject managers. I'm not saying they all are, but some of the staff messed up at another local stop and shop and they'll get sent here

This place is almost useless. First off, as a chain, Stop and Shops prices are almost always higher than Shoprite. Each week they have about three advertised deals that are competitive with and occasionally better than Shoprite. However, the Ringwood branch is almost perpetually sold out of those deals. This week they had deals on 85% ground beef, chicken breast and baby back ribs. They didn't have any in stock. Shelves empty and nothing in the back. And this isn't a one off. Whoever does the ordering for this place really needs to reevaluate whatever data they are looking at. The produce is really hit or miss in terms of quality. The selection and variety of products is meager. The ONLY plus about this place is most of the cashiers are really friendly and helpful.

Easy in and out. Store is always clean and fast. Well organized and easy to use bathroom. Boars head in the deli case and a liquor store next door. And since it's stop and shop don't forget about marked down produce in the back of store. Major savings.

Two stars for being the only supermarket in Ringwood and for having friendly employees, otherwise, I would give this 1 stat. I shop here only when I must. The selection is small, the service is slow and there is a definite price markup. Went in for two items on a Sunday afternoon for two items. It took 20 minutes to get one item from the deli and checkout. Absurd. I travel over 40 minutes out of my way to go to a grocery store I like. I really wish this one was better...

This Stop & Shop has been my go to grocery store for years! Well stocked, great staff. I find them to be competitive, and the organic and dietary products are growing every week! I do take advantage of all the coupons and the app every week.

This might be the worst supermarket in NJ. Produce is horrible in both quality and selection. Need to check dates on everything in cheese and deli. Store management is in no way aware of or, cares about the food quality. Much better produce (and prices) just down the hill in Oakland.

I just bought yesterday this product and I trusted that in your store everything is fresh. Me and my baby ate a piece of one of this and started to fill sick. I really disappointed of the answer of customer service in the call that I did this morning. I am trying to have enough fresh food for the next weeks and I can not leave the house again, yesterday I coordinated that somebody take care my baby for a while I bought my groceries. In this moment of this virus I just can not go out again and expose my baby. I want to return your product and the other bread. What other solution you can offer? Thank you.

Always get what I need,and keep your eye out for the manager specials in the meat department I always score great deals on them...ps...and on a hot day treat yourself to walk around the store if stop and shop can't cool you down no place can it's always cold inside, refreshing cool air I love it ,the wife not so much she's always cold 😂

It was okay. There was confusion about how to checkout. The checkout lady wasn't very nice, but probably her job is rough these days. They had what we wanted and it wasn't smelly.

I've been going here since the beginning and its only gotten worse from barely mediocre. Not sure where they r getting good reviews from obviously not the locals. From bad produce to limited selection slow service. Constantly changing where things r and what varieties they sell. Check out counters wall mart style terrible. If i could sum it up. Third world supermarket. To the owners sell to someone whos cares about the customers Ringwood deserves a SUPER supermarket. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse now they let the panicers take all the paper products and leave the rest with bare shelves. Now you see how little your neighbors and stop and shot care about you. Please sell this store. You obviously dont care or know how to run a super market .

They aren't consistent with rotating stock so you may have to look around for the best dates on some products. The produce department is very well kept compared to other super markets I've been to.

Why is this store so expensive? The quality of the food is average there's nothing special compared to other stores so why am I paying g so much for groceries? They do have a decent organic selection but it's pricey

They like to keep this store at what feels like freezing temperature, which is perfect on hot summer days but if you plan on shopping a while, come dressed. Helpful and friendly employees, Ringwood vibes.

I enjoy shopping there, something’s I go and spend half hour just talking to the employees..Food is Fresh, place is well kept and clean-My 20month old loves going with me, and for me it’s kid friendly

Always clean and organized. Staffing is light but the wait is never long. Has a good selection of produce and GREAT selection of ice cream!
