I had a great experience with Walt’s in Oct 2018 purchasing my riding mower. Had it serviced after 2 seasons, still happy. Unfortunately just had a bad experience with Ron and service department for winter service. They demand you change out all belts and they power wash the mower deck All for a price that ends up at 25% of the cost of the mower. Ron put words in my mouth/attempts mind reading by saying that I will complain if something happens after just having it serviced so they MUST change everything, not inspect and report like a normal service shop. After too much energy spent on the phone, they just changed my oil and put in a new battery for a still exorbitant price. I think local businesses are accustomed to many customers out here who will just write the check for any amount. I will do my own service now and/or know other vendors who are more reasonable. I have owned 2 other riding mowers…

What a great local place to shop for a lawn mower and repairs. Family owned, very willing to help along with explaining how to operate the mower. Yes operating a mower is simple, but he explained things I would have overlooked. So it was worth taking those extra few minutes. They have a nice selection of various power equipment. Supporting local businesses is key for this extra care of guidance.

I needed a self propelled mower repaired and in the height of the season, they were able to get it repaired within the committed timeframe. Walt's is a great shop for all the outdoor power tools you'd need as well as service. Polite, efficient, and a well laid out facility.

After failed attempts with two other small engine repair companies, I brought my Cub Cadet to Walt's Outdoor Center. Walt's team identified that a part had been installed backward, the belts were properly fitting and were not Cub Cadet compatible, diagnosed a cracked tab that indicated to the machine that it had been placed into reverse--disengaging the mower (The disengaging had been going on for a couple of years and no one could figure it out!).Walt took the time to teach proper maintenance and operational procedures so I will get the best service from my repaired lawnmower.The front office is excellent as well!Definitely worth the trip to Ringoes, NJ from Bethlehem, PA!Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Good reviews brought me here a long way, at least one hour from our new home in PA. I was in the market for a few items. I was especially interested in a Simplicity Riding mower. All 9 in the area of my new home had terrible reviews. I was not disappointed. Walt's is the best and well deserving of their reputation. This is a Mom and Pop shop, old school service with a well stocked parts inventory and career mechanics like the way things used to be before Amazon and Home Depot ruined everything. They offer excellent advice for the new lawn mower and actually talked me down from bigger machine. The one I got, a Regent, does all that I need. Thanks to Walt's I saved some money. Only a few weeks into the season, the new mower had a problem from the manufacturer. I brought back to Walt's and they literally jumped right on the repair even though I'm not a commercial user. I had the machine back in a couple of days. Nice. I've since been back a couple of times for a Stihl Hedge Trimmer and a Simplicity Snow Thrower. Again, originally I had in mind a larger tractor with a snow blower attachment which would have been in excess of $2k. Ended up with a typical walk behind for a lot less. We could all use a lot more shops like Walt's.

Great place to shop for your landscaping equipment. People who work there are really friendly. Big plus for me is that they also offer maintenance on the machines, they can also do the repairs and submit a claim to the manufacturer. This actually happened to me when few months after purchasing a small loan mower tractor the starter stopped working. We love taking care of our Hunterdon acres so the nice machines come handy.Highly recommend and local company!

If you're looking for superior customer service, in a small town, supporting a small business that has been around for half of a century, this is your place!! I purchased a new 2017 Ferris zero-turn. Walt combs over these new units when they come from the factory taking several hours to ensure the unit is perfect. His property is perfectly maintained, and his showroom is spotless. You can tell this man knows how to run a business and how to treat his customers. Look no farther than Walt's Outdoor Center in Ringoes. The price for my mower was $600 better than my local dealer. Service, experience and price all lead me to Walt. You won't be disappointed!!!

I've purchased a lawn tractor, a mower and various parts and accessories here over the years. The best, no nonsense service and employees. A true old school dealership/service center that is an example of how other outdoor equipment dealers should be like. I really love the old school customer service experience when I come here. Absolutely the best place in the world to do business with! What a class operation. This is like dealing with old time America as it should be. I am a complete novice to outdoor equipment and Ron took all the time in the world to explain things to me. Never felt like I was rushed or treated like I knew nothing. If you are in the market for outdoor equipment, this is the only place to go, period!!! I wish I could rate this more than five stars because I would give it ten!!!

What a disappointment. After several purchases (incl. 1st STIHL chainsaw) I bought a bigger $ 450 STIHL chainsaw less than a year ago. Never started right, ended up using it less than 2 hrs. When I finally brought it in no bogus explanation was spared why this was not warranty but all my fault as if I was an imposter. Do your other customers take that treatment? Anyway, nothing helped, seemed to be a deep rooted attitude, had to pay for repair of something that was likely there to begin with :-( Goodbye WALT's outdoor center and good luck with your business ethics. Back to AMAZON - better price (of course) but (sadly) better service too.

I have been purchasing lawn and yard equipment from Walt's for over 20 years. In all cases I have found their products, service and delivery to be top shelf with all my expectations met and more. Walt stands behind everything they sell. It doesn't matter if it is a piece of new equipment, parts or a repair of an older unit when you get it back it works and the job is done right.Not to long ago I had an older lawn tractor in for service and when I got it back I thought they gave me the wrong tractor back that's how clean and professionally service it was. I believe you can tell a lot by the way a store and service area are maintained..... I haven't seen any better then Walt's.I have and will continue to recommend Walt's to friends and family.chick wojcicki

Wonderful, caring, understanding and PATIENT staff. This Saturday early afternoon, hear screeching sounds out of the mower for almost 30 minutes on and off. I am begging molly mower to hold on as long as she can, please let me finish the front lawn at least,,,, PLEASE. It's now 2:30 in the afternoon, 1/2 hour before Walt's closes. I am panicking I won't finish. Sounds like a belt or something along those lines. Home alone, husband @ work, my birthday tomorrow and I KNOW there are plans!!! In a panic call Walt's, HELP I need belts. which ones she asks. I don't know!!!! I scream I will take All of them that go on the mower. Spending 10 -12 minutes on the phone with the lovely woman, I tell her, let me comedown before you close I have no idea what size or anything. I take a pic of the inner hood with all the info and race down to Walt's, 10 minute drive for me and 10 minutes to spare. They looked up my name and address, and hooked me up with both belts I could possible have an issue with. I just want to finish the lawn before the husband comes home from a 12 hour shift. I left Walt's at 3:20 with 2 belts under the armpit. I run a business and hate when customers come in when I am closing after a 10 hour day. But I always try and understand that poop happens as it happened to me this weekend. THANK YOU WALTS OUTDOOR CENTER. for 21 years I have been giving you my business and you have never disappointed! The personal service Mom and Pop stores provide are definitely an un mistakable service with a smile.

Walt hooked me up in a emergency. My generator was not working and within just a few hours, it was good as new! Saleen did the work and it looked brand new when he was done, and ran like it too! I was able to get home and get it running before my basement flooding from melting snow! Wish I had known about Walt and his team sooner. I missed out but will now go to him for all my small engine needs!

Purchased a chain saw today. Was assisted immediately by someone (unheard of in those other stores.) Very knowledgeable and friendly. Prior to ringing me up they put gas and oil in it and made sure it started up. THAT is why you go to a place like this. 10 stars **********
