This is a very nice hotel, with a friendly, efficient staff, updated, (mostly) clean rooms and a central location. We've only stayed there twice for one night each, 12 weeks apart, but I feel like that's been sufficient enough to give it a full review. They offer a breakfast package for a few bucks more but we chose not to avail ourselves of it simply because on both of those occasions we wanted to get up and be on the road as quickly as we could in the morning. But I did take a little peek at their offerings and everything looked quite tasty and certainly smelled delicious. We do like the fact that there are multiple restaurants within a very short distance of the hotel. We arrived both at dinner time and a few hours after typical dinner hours and we were able to order from several varied menu options both times. The restaurants in both instances were close enough for my husband to just walk over and pick up our food. The only "issue" that we had was the state of the tub in our bathroom. I'd actually hoped to take a shower the night that we arrived (on our trip home) but something strange was on the bottom of the tub. I didn't really want to touch it with my bare hands and I didn't think it would come clean with just water alone. It was late and I assumed that the housekeeping staff wouldn't be available, so I didn't bother to call the desk about it. It wasn't exactly urgent for me to shower, since I'd just wanted to "warm the kinks out" after having been in the car for several hours. A decent night's sleep would be sufficient to get the job done. The bed was fine, but it wasn't the most comfortable bed that I've ever slept in. I suppose you could say that it was a typical hotel bed for the price range. Overall, we're quite satisfied with the experience and we'll most definitely stay at this Hilton Garden Inn again, when we travel South next year. (I'll add a few quick photos that I took of whatever was on the bottom of the tub in our room, below)

Staff here are amazing. The room I had faced a utility roof ot seemed like. There were ants all over the room. Breakfast is not included with your stay its an extra fee. Kids do eat free with a paid adult. Air conditioner was outdated. Tv reset whenever you turned it off. The soap gel you need the whole bottle for a decent shower. Pool was decent. Jacuzzi was entirely too hot way above the legal level in addition the bubbles did not work. At $150 a night they can do much better.Nearby activities: Movie theater is walking distance from the hotel

Consider-Tolls at this location-Near a lotRoom- The room was not clean, however staff offered a new room. It was 2am when we arrived due to the storm. I don't know why the room was not clean considering we were late for check in. They were very kind. The front desk staff gave us a discount on one night stay and clean linens. We handle cleaning ourselves, we were too tired to move our suitcases to another room. The front desk staff were amazing.

"We Will Make It Right?" You sometimes see that sign posted at Hilton properties but in the case of this location I guess it's just a joke. I stayed here for 3 nights last month. On my last night a dog barked in the room next door from from 4 PM until 3 AM. I didn't say much until 10:00 PM but the barking never stopped. I was told I would be accommodated but they did nothing regarding the dog and nothing to "make it right". I have since left two messages for management with no returned phone call. If you value sleep and customer service stay elsewhere. I would expect more as a long term Hilton customer and Diamond member. Truly disappointing and frustrating.

The room and hotel were clean and well kept. The desk attendants were friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to my destination and close to the turnpike. Maybe too close... Only thing negative I would say is the road noise from the turnpike was loud (I was in a low numbered room (401). I would think it would be equally as loud in the front (even numbered rooms).

Had a really nice stay here. Rooms were clean and well appointed - shout out to Front Desk Perla very sweet cute smile so welcoming. also housekeeping on their prompt, friendly, thorough service. Staff overall was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was really good. staff at the restaurant were excellent as well. I usually like to stay in Luxury brands, but this hotel provided a terrific experience. My sincerest thanks to the staff and management of this property!Rooms: Rooms where perfect to be honest very comfortableSafety: Love the area parking is freeFood & drinks: The restaurant had some good options. The snack bar was amazing

Pros: Room ready at arrival, Feliz was a pleasure to have help us at the front desk, he was friendly helped us get a playpen, changed our room when we requested.Cons: The rooms smelled like weed, there was inconsistency with the breakfast, one day there was decaf the next two days there was none, no cream and no bananas. When i asked the young lady she shrugged her shoulder and said “ no we have none” didnt bother to get cream or offer to make decaf. Our key would not work to enter the building through the side door. There was no safe in our room. The crib that I requested was actually a playpen not a crib and it was old and hard as a rock ( so sad to see this considering it is a Hilton and the price was not cheap).Would not recommend staying here, very outdated and far from alot of main things.Rooms: outdated and smells like weed

Our stay here was WONDERFUL. The staff was great at Check-in. The rooms smelled good and were clean, the towels were plush, white and SOFT. The bed was so COMFORTABLE and soft. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you stay here.Rooms: Rooms were very clean.Safety: The area of the hotel is very safe and quiet.

Nice hotel, room was clean and updated and the shower was great. Good location next to the park and I was able to run 4.5 miles in a safe area of Overpeck Park.I used the weight room and hot tub too, and they were good.The service was professional, but not overly friendly compared to the folks at Fairfield and/or TownePlace Suites.There was a paid breakfast and coffee available in the morning.We would come back again.

The best hotel experience I ever had as of right now. The staff was friendly and helpfull, rooms were clean and comfy. There's also a bar and restaurant service in the lobby. The breakfast is really worth it and it's complete including eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruits, pastries and on and on. There's a bus stop nearby that brings you directly to Port Authority Bus Terminal. Don't be fooled when you come back from Manhattan in the evening and take the 167Q - Chestnut Bend and no other bus because the others 167 don't stop on challenger road. All in all an awesome experience and would recommend to all my friends and family. I will come back for sure !

Nothing exceptional about this location. The noise from I-80 is terrible. There were kids slamming doors, running and yelling in Spanish in the hallways banging on the walls in the room next to us. This happened on both of the nights during our stay. The Front Desk did NOTHING to resolve the issue. Remember this area of the country is known for large groups of ill mannered individuals who would rather run you over, step over you and blame you for getting in their way.

I loved my stay there. I came for r and r and I left being relaxed and rested. Great staff members, always clean with sanitizers everywhere (doors, elevators, desk). Sure the restaurant is good, the presentation on the rockslide brownie was very impressive. The pool is awesome. Perfect temperature. They probably could insulate the area a little more for wintertime water fun. Easy check in and seamless check out. Bathroom has the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Location seconds away from the turnpike after the 46 interchange or from 80 and 95.Rooms: Nice lounge and bar, full breakfast for 17.Nearby activities: Overpeck Park, playground.

The location was excellent. You just walk outside the hotel and get a bus to NYC! However, the experience was pathetic! The room had bugs. We requested staff to clean room thoroughly before leaving for day excursion, however, when we came back, the room and the bugs were as is. We thought of requesting for change of room, however, there was no one at the front desk that time as it was late in the night. Unfortunately, we had to stay there and check out next day! Would never recommend stay at this property

It was a great experience for me and my family. The staff is highly professional and friendly at the same time. I would like to mention Felix his customer service skills are exceptional. He was very welcoming and also very friendly. Our room was clean, breakfast was really good and the staff helping with the breakfast were good too. I would recommend every one visiting NY or NJ to stay at this hotel. We will def be back.

My wife and I stayed here for a week while our apartment was being fixed. When we arrived in the afternoon, there was no one at the front desk. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the employee (who was nice) to return and check us in. Our room smelled pretty bad and after a few minutes we realized the air conditioner wasn’t working. After we reported it to the employee at the front desk, he quickly switched us to a new room. The new room still smelled a bit but the air conditioner worked so it was much more pleasant. The hotel had only one trolley for bags so we weren’t able to use it because another guest was using it. The restaurant wasn’t able to charge meals to our room during our stay. The lobby temperature was really warm. The pool and hot tub were fun, but they left our swimming clothes smelling bad so I wonder if they were sanitary. The hot tub jets didn’t work. The key card to our room barely worked; we had to swipe it ~10 times to get into the room. The employees were kind and friendly but my overall impression is that they’re understaffed and fighting battles they can do little to control. The accumulation of small issues impacted the quality of our stay and left the impression that the hotel is underfunded.Rooms: The room was cozy but smelled bad. The office chair was broken and the back wouldn’t lock.Food & drinks: We enjoyed the fries and house salad.

This is one of the best hotel stays I’ve had. Felix at the front desk is an ANGEL! Truly a Ray of sunshine. He treated us like gold and always went above and beyond to make sure we were greeted and treated us with so much kindness and grace.TJ (The manager) was also an angel. He was so nice and helped us with our bags and just really helped us out when we were in a pinch.I will forever recommend this hotel. Thank you both for being so kind to us!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. From the moment we checked in, everything was perfect. The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms had all the proper necessities such as a microwave and fridge. Although the price was a bit much, this was the closest and cheapest hotel that is still close to NYC, so it was well worth it. Plus there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that goes to NYC which is very convenient too. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel. We had a great stay and a very comfortable good night sleep.

Lovely hotel, big room, clean, comfortable bed. The breakfast was very goodThe bus stop to New York is next to the hotel. Only disadvantage is the bus is not running between 3pm and 8pm Monday to Friday. All other times is running every hour.Food & drinks: Lovely breakfast with good selection and choice. The bar is slightly on expensive side but the service is excellent

I hate to say it but this was one of the worst stays I have ever had. We honestly don’t have very high standards when picking hotels because we know we’ll only really be there to sleep. Even considering that, this really was too much.First night was the absolute worst. Our room had this horrible constant sound of rumbling machinery. We assumed it was the elevators that we were placed right next to, but later discovered it’s present in multiple areas. It was so loud that we tried to drown it out with the even louder AC that was at least more consistent. None of us were able to get any sleep so we asked for a room change our second night.Not long after moving rooms, we realized the toilet did not flush. Someone came up to fix it. After the “fix,” we barely got it to flush once before it stopped again. The front desk told me this was due to a water saving feature but did not explain why our previous room did not have this issue. We asked for another room change.I honestly thought the final room would be ok. Toilet was working, room was quiet. Then we realized the AC was broken. We didn’t even bother with telling anyone at that point. Just slept in stifling humidity.The guy at the front desk was nice and the other lady was not nice like other reviews mentioned. Either way I don’t really care as I wouldn’t have had to say much to them if our rooms hadn’t been so awful.I do not recommend this place no matter how convenient the location is and will avoid Hilton in the future.

There's a bus to NY hourly right outside the hotel. Perfect location if you plan on traveling much to NY without having to spend extra on parking and tolls (plus headaches). Free parking!I loved that the hotel is within a business district area, so nothing is sketchy or slump around. Coffee is excellent. Staff reminded me of true hospitality; super friendly yet efficient. Rooms could use an upgrade, though. Would definitely be back next time!

Let me start with this, the customer service was great. The front desk staff overall was great so not their fault to the rest of this review.Let me start with the location, this place is literally off the highway and the noise is ridiculous.The rooms were outdated, low lighting in the room. We booked a total of 6 rooms and every single room was the same dark setting, low lighting. One of the rooms, the shower head broke off the fixture. Another room as you can see from the pictures the curtains were stained and dirty, the shower head fixture was disgusting. The tub was rusting. The bedding (pictures not attached) had stains on both beds. As soon as we checked in and walked into the room it had a strong odor from the room.The air conditioner unit in the room (picture attached) the wall thermostat was set to 64° and I wasn't able to change the temperature until I realized to check the actual unit which was set to 60°, I feel like the thermostat on the wall to control the unit is just there for show and had no use.The grills on the air conditioning unit was rusting (photos attached).Overall customer service was great but the overall hotel needs a complete makeover and update.I stayed at a Hampton Inn the day prior in DC which was outstanding which cost me less to book compared to this place.

I had to wait 2hrs after scheduled check-in before getting into my room. This has never happened at any hotel I've stayed. Brought up my dissatisfaction with it. The person at front desk said they were the supervisor and would comp our breakfast for the 2 night stay and have the manager TJ reach out to me. The next day no comp. No notes in system. They informed me we don't have supervisors. Just Manager TJ(who I never spoke with). I would give zero stars, but housekeeping is probably overworked and still greeted you with a smile and good morning!
