I am in LOVE with this place. I've waited to write my review until I have been here plenty of times, and have been impressed every time. The staff is extremely friendly and will happily chat about plants or leave you be to wander among the greenery - whatever you prefer. They are pet friendly as well which I love. My dog loves it here too, though she tends to want the giant plants we can't fit in the car. Their sales are amazing as well. Each time I go I find new varieties that were available the time before, which is the perfect excuse to keep coming back. This is my new favorite plant destination!

Prices are reasonable, average with some sales on pots which most garden centers seem to exhibit. Variety is teriffic as well as plant condition.

I visited Madden Family farms after a friend had recommended I stop by because they were having a 50% off end of season sale. As a serious plant mom, I knew I had to visit to see what treasures I could find.Knowing it was an end of season sale I knew the nursery wouldn't be packed with plants and what would be there wouldn't be in it's prime condition (that's understood for most end of season sales). Yes, I was able to see a lot of succulents that were still in great condition ($1.80) and all hanging baskets of many sizes were only $5! I grabbed a couple hanging baskets and also found two baskets of string of tears as well! I was happy with these finds. I also picked up a couple christmas items and a statue that looks like my dog (why not). Sale at 50% was cash only otherwise it would be 30% with credit card.I did notice a couple plants with some webs (as many nurseries inevitably have some pests like spider mites!) but I always strongly recommend bringing plants home to be isolated and treated/sprayed before you place them with your other plants.I met the owner, Melinda, who was so very nice and friendly to me during check out. She even explained that they would be getting in a new shipment of houseplants in two weeks!There's a small lot for parking and while I was there (and left for cash) I came back to no spots. Not sure what to do if that happens on a busy day. I just waited for someone to pull out of their spot. Not the end of the world but maybe helpful for others it you are planning a trip.BONUS this place is dog friendly! I love, love, when I can bring my fur child along to shop for plant children lol. Will definitely be back!

Madden Farms is a small but well-stocked nursery and garden center that has been one of my family's go-to places for everything from pots to Christmas trees over the years. Family-owned with local suppliers and always a friendly face.Don't miss the cookies they sell every holiday season!

I am totally in love. After hearing about Maddens from several gardening friends, I finally wandered in & just kept saying Wow...my only complaint is that I don't have enough yard space to plant all the things I want!Absolutely fabulous place & highly recommend going here if you're looking for quality, fair priced plants.

Was visiting from out of town and stopped in because my aunt and grandma rave about this place. Such a beautiful place--extensive, reasonably priced nursery and plant store complete with gourds for the fall and a beautiful gift shop full of a variety of holiday items, trinkets, and plant accoutrements. Each person we encountered was friendly and helpful. If I lived in town, it would be hard not to come in every week for a new plant!

3.5 stars really.The variety and selection of plants is very good. However, the prices are also high. I guess you pay for selections and varieties you can't find elsewhere.

I tried making an even exchange in less than a month from its purchase, with a receipt and the item exactly as I bought it. The owner refused to exchange it. I know of two other people who had the same experience. I was a long time good customer and now I avoid this nursery.

I was really excited to visit the nursery to purchase shrubs and indoor plants; however, I left extremely disappointed. They had a decent plant selection, but many were not in good condition. The tipping point for me was the customer service. During check out I tried to ask the lady a few questions about the plants I was buying she was rude and not friendly. She acted like I was an inconvenience and wanted nothing to do with me. I will not be returning.

I drove an hour to visit this place, and it did NOT disappoint. Solely because the sale on plants. You can't beat it.... they don't have the most exclusive plants, but definitely a great variety of houseplants, perennials, annuals, and trees. It's worth the trip for me.

DO NOT GO. IT'S ACTUALLY CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. They are currently closed for the season until March 2024. I was not aware of this unless I missed it on the website. It was my first time going to the farm. Bummer...

This nursery is a gem! It has a wide selection of plants and pots. The prices are really great, better than a lot of other places. I love the staff, they are knowledgeable and make you feel welcomed. They also have really great prices on soil. I'll always check here first for plants and accessories.

If you are in the area and are looking for some very well priced and healthy herb and vegetable plants, come here!!! I was impressed with the selection/varieties and pricing. Extremely affordable and wayyy better quality than anything you would get from (insert big box store name here). Definitely would recommend and totally will be coming back :)

I'm obsessed with this plant nursery/shop! They have a wide variety of healthy plants and really nice glazed pottery. Their holiday cookies were amazing! The Xmas ornaments are ADORABLE and most are hand made/ hand painted. I've been here ~20 times this year. They're closing soon (Jan 17) but I can't wait until they reopen ❤

What a treat at the nursery today! Fresh and beautiful inventory.. I was so tired of our hot weather I needed a pick me up so I bought a bunch of hanging baskets from their super sale and popped them right into the ground!The prices are way less than the big box stores. Such healthy plants . It’s rewarding to know it’s a family business and they grow their own plants.Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Family business imagine still in NJ!They have great houseplants too

Nice nursery garden. Lots of varieties on almost every plant you can think of plus more in a well organized manner where you don't have to wonder whether it's a perennial or annual, shaded or light loving and price is marked for most of the items. You're sure to find a plant that catches your fancy and for a decent price.

Waited patiently last season until they finally had a crepe myrtle shrub. When it didn’t come back alive they continually led me on saying it would sprout later, to be patient. When I finally brought it back dead, they refused to honor a replacement. Said they’re not a big box store, and are not responsible one it leaves the property. Was a long term customer until learning of their lack of ethics.

I have been shopping here for many years. The diversity of options for pottery and annuals and perennials is great, prices are fair and when there's a sale they can't be beat. Melinda is the owner and she is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, professional, and delightful.

The times I have gone there was little to no staff available to help or for me to ask questions to. The plants that I have bought from this place have all died within the first 3 weeks. I do not have a black thumb, nor has any of my plants from any other store died (and I've had them for over a year now). The succulent selection is only ok. Not a lot of variety compared to other places. They are also a bit more expensive than other garden centers. Overall, disappointing experience.

Friendly and great service! Excellent quality and we return every year for our Christmas tree. We always get it the last weekend in November and take down the first week of January. The tree is always perfect and doesn’t drop many needles.

I went to buy plants to give a second home some curb appeal. It was hot and I was in no mood to drag a cart around the property with me. I parked it while I walked around and decided which plants/colors I wanted. Along the way, I brought what I liked back to the cart that I had positioned by the greenhouse so I didn't have to lug it around. A young lady approaches me and asks if I need help (as many times as I've gone there, that's never happened). I say no, I'm good. Not even 10 mins later...same young lady, same question, same answer. I noticed that she didn't ask anyone else. On my way to pay for everything, I noticed her standing by the door as if she was watching me. It made me feel like I was under surveillance and I felt really uncomfortable after that. They had signs up about people carrying large bags into the green house but you would only know to leave your purse in the car after you've already made it to the greenhouse to see the sign (I had a medium crossbody). I've been purchasing from this location for about a year but I don't think I'll be returning.

I love Madden's- it's where I get all my plants because they have such high quality and healthy perennials and annuals, as well as shrubs and trees- they've got it all! I've never had trouble finding what I was looking for here, even types of plants that other places wouldn't have had, Madden's will have them, you can be sure (and maybe even in different varieties- their selection is humongous)!!! Not to mention that they have wonderful prices and lots of fabulous sales- they've got special sales too for everyone who signs up for the email newsletter, and they don't spam your Inbox. Honestly, I'm so glad that I live near Madden's because they're just the best. I've been everywhere else in the area but none of them compare. Trust me, if you're looking for quality and value, you're at the right place! Not to mention that they're all so helpful and kind too! 😊

It’s may be my first time to give some one bad rating but I feel obligated to help other people give my feedback. If i give some good some best rating which they don’t deserve I think I will be help accountable on judgement day. They betray my trust and put bad and dying plants in my delivery. When I called and spoke to them they refused to accept it. Anyway it didn’t affect me any way but just want to alert others. There are other nursery way less pricey and better service later I found out. They were also rude to some other customer I noticed when I am recalling now. They pots hanging inside and very loose and seriously injure your kids. Be careful about that too please. Thanks
