This is a great shelter and they care for the animals so so much. i have adopted 2 cats from this shelter Gracie and Poppy (Mika). They are both the sweetest cats you will ever meet and you can tell they were cared for greatly from this shelter. I highly recommend and Christine was such a great owner. I can’t thank you enough for the sweetest cats I ever had.

We just adopted an amazing cat from here a few days ago. Everyone was so sweet and the process was really simple and easy. Everything was kept so nice and I could tell the staff wanted these animals to get loving caring homes. Christine was extremely helpful!!!!

I used to volunteer here a few years ago and the animals are so loved and taken care of to the highest quality. I still pop in every now and then and they have had sooo many cats adopted and there are rarely dogs there, as they all find loving homes quickly. Anyone who says anything negative about the people who work there or the shelter have no idea what they’re saying. Christianne, who runs the shelter, is absolutely amazing and loves each and every one of those animals as if they were her own..(and they pretty much are!) the other volunteers are amazing as well. I always recommend people to check out the Pequannock animal shelter. It is super clean and well maintained and they did lots of upgrades inside as well as outside where the dogs play. I always feel so welcomed and comfortable when I stop by. Everyone is so loving and you can really see how much they all truly love the animals. I would give a million stars if I could!

It upsets me when I read about another reviewer referring to the Pequannock Animal Shelter as a kill shelter, when it is anything but. My daughter adopted a cat that they housed for 5 years. The staff at the shelter are very professional very compassionate, they work very hard to give the animals under their control the best care possible. One cat has a serious problem and they are trying to get the cat to walk in a walker so as to give this cat some quality of life. So don't refer to them as a kill shelter. Found an injured rabbit in my backyard after a rough storm and was calling all different places to find some help for the poor thing. Finally called the animal control number listed for Pequannock and some one came out and picked up the rabbit to bring to the animal hospital. I could tell they really do care about all animals well-being. Thank you so much for helping

The people there are so attentive and caring. I recommend anyone looking to adopt a fur baby to go here. Animals are very well cared for.

I’ve just started volunteering here and it is such an amazing environment to be in and I absolutely love volunteering there so much. It makes me really upset when people say it’s a kill shelter when we do everything we can to keep every animal healthy and if they are sick we make sure to take even more care of them.

A place that loves it's wards. Adopted a cat named Homer. Spent a couple of hours with him there. They treat their animals with love.
