Just off the bat…5 stars! Came in with both of my daughters today a 6year old and 10 month old and they were impressed just as I was. The place is huge and split level! There’s a pond section indoor and outdoor, a salt water section, freshwater section, supply section and reptile section. All the display tanks were amazing and clean! My favorite is the planted tank that probably a 125 or somewhere around there. All the fish look healthy and all the tanks looked clean. Attentive staff and all asked me if I needed help or wanted questions answered. We spent a good 45 mins or more checking everything out! I have couple tanks at home but in the process of setting up a 125 planted freshwater tank and will come by to get fish and other supply. Pretty cool store and plenty of parking! Love the old house look! Thanks ocean gallery for a good trip for my kids and I to get out of the heat today! 5 stars

Got some beautiful fire stone from here for my paludarium. I will be purchasing more stone from them in the future as they have a bunch of other types, such as dragon stone. Even sooner, I’ll be coming here for my aquatic plants. They have a wide assortment and you can tell they take care of their plants. They all looked lush and vibrant. The gentlemen working there were very helpful too!

I love this place! I recently bought a leopard gecko and she is very healthy, and currently in love with our male gecko. I also love that this place carry’s many hornworms for a great price because it’s been hard to find them in the past. You can tell the owners and employees really care about the animals there.

I've been a customer here off and on for YEARS, and have nothing but great things to say about the shop and staff. Clean, great selection, and always improving over the years. Staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions and put up with my 3 little ones window shopping! To say they take pride in the hobby is an understatement. There's a reason I'm a repeat customer. Don't hesitate to stop by, you won't be disappointed!

This is a great place to go to for fresh water and salt water fish. They have very heathy fish and I got a Bolivian ram, endlers, and Otto’s. I would recommend going here for getting your fish. They also at some times of the year have pond fish.

My son and I got a large Jack Dempsey( not usually found at the chain stores) The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices are fair,.. Venturing into the salt water I recommend it

Made owner aware of DEAD bearded dragon and gave back nasty attitude. No signs of breathing and looks severely dehydrated. Will be reporting this store. They do not care about their animals, just another petco that dispose of animals life like it’s nothing

UPDATE: Owner responded below. This sort of response attitude is part the reason I feared of addressing at the store. Let me respond to them. It's great that you will handwrite detailed receipts instead of your total-spent-only register printed receipt IF the customer asks for it like you claim. That seems burdensome for customers and employees alike, to wait for handwritten receipt listing different breeds of fish, price of each, brand of gravel, filters, etc. More room for employee error. Petco, Walmart, pharmacies, restaurants, and practically every other business provide detailed receipts. I understand livestock is not guaranteed, but that's not a reason for not providing detailed receipt. The big pet stores and practically all other local pet stores have livestock and their animals are all listed in the computer. No longer carrying a fish or other pet product? No need to select it on the computer. Yes, practically everything I saw at your store has prices. That is not the issue outlined in this review. Overcharging is the issue, and that the customer cannot see where the money went on your total-only-receipts is the other. Don't find it odd that I trusted your store by returning. First time I noticed a few days later while jotting down expenses. Second time I did quick mental math at the store. 3rd time I confirmed using calculator at the store. Start using new technology with detailed receipts!TL/DR: Well-stocked store with cared-after livestock, but seemingly love to overcharge you via their plain vanilla receipts.Throughout the 90s to the mid-2000s, I frequented this place intermittently. However, over the past 1.5 years, my visits have become more frequent due to my close proximity to the store. It boasts an impressive array of popular aquarium products, including a diverse selection of healthy fish and well-cared-for aquarium plants. Nevertheless, I have encountered an unsettling pattern regarding the pricing practices at the register.On multiple occasions, I have observed discrepancies between the prices I expect to pay based on the items purchased and the amounts reflected on the receipts. These disparities lead me to suspect intentional overcharging, rather than mere oversight. One such instance involved the purchase of four black mollies priced at $7 each, totaling $28 plus tax. However, the receipt from Ocean Gallery indicated a charge exceeding $39.Subsequent purchases further cemented my concerns. Despite acquiring a few neons, 2 Seachem products, and a single bacopa plant, I was surprised to find my total nearing $70, when quick mental math told me the items were about $52. When questioned, the cashier affirmed the accuracy of the amount, leaving me uneasy but ultimately silent. Recently, I did a small purchase of 2 fresh water shrimp and 3 assassin snails. I took great care in noting the prices on the tank. To be sure, I asked if the prices were correct by the employee bagging my new live buddies. Did the math via calculator. Yet again, overcharged by $8+. Thank them and left.The issue is compounded by the store's outdated method of manually inputting prices into the register, resulting in receipts that lack itemized details. You simply receive a receipt depicting only the total sale. Without a breakdown of the items purchased and their individual costs, it becomes challenging to pinpoint instances of overcharging.Despite my desire to support local businesses, I have opted to source my aquarium supplies online to avoid further encounters with this issue. If circumstances necessitate a return to the store, I plan to bring cash and purchase only one item to minimize the risk of overcharging.While I contemplated addressing my concerns with the owner, I ultimately chose not to pursue that course of action. Instead, I hope this message serves as a gentle nudge for the establishment to reconsider its pricing practices and adopt the standard practice of providing detailed line-by-line receipts. Such transparency is commonplace in modern businesses and would alleviate customer apprehension.

The scumiest thing any store has ever done to me in 20 years of fish keeping . Showed up to buy a 125 aquarium. I could have gotten the entire setup , At Petsmart with the Aquarium , Stand , lights And lids for $699.99 But instead I decided to support a local business. Instead I ended up being taken advantage of by them and I will explain how .When i walked into the store , They had the entire setup displayed together . Aquarium, Stand , Lids And light the hardware on top of the tank to make it look like it was included . I was told that the Stand was seperate And i was ok with that and was even going to come back and purchase it at a later date but when i got home I unloaded it and realized that the Hood and lights were missing. Thinking it was a mistake I called them and said that I forgot to put the hardware in the car and that's when they tried to tell me that it would cost an additional $300 . They're exact words to me over the phone was " We don't give away things for free " Seriously?? You sold me a tank without a hood and couldn't even let me have a top for my tank after i just spent 600 bucks !?! Lol they charged me $600 for simply a glass box without a lid . I understood that the Stand was seperate and I was OK with that but to sell me a glass tank without a lid andmarketing it like it was included was bad business. Avoid these guys

I have no clue where to start... but id like to say if 0 stars was an option id use it! This place is a disgusting! Between the snakes being to small of tanks. Fish being packed into their tanks, lizards being over weight or under weight, just a little bit of everything wrong! This place needs to be shut down! If u can't provide the proper sized tank, set ups, etc for this animals then don't get these animals! I've see other reviews and responses to them and I am out of words just WOW!

Awesome store with a large variety of fish. Went there to get my kid some piranha and it was a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful without pushing you to buy more than you need. They are also incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to discuss potential issues and care for the fish. We will definitely be back.

Awesome ball pythons. The best reptile section around. Got mine here a month or two ago and I love him. He's beautiful and eats like a pro. Awesome saltwater selection. Got some fish and a couple corals. Really helpful guys here, really great for someone new to saltwater, always helpful and patient with my dumb questions. I keep going back.

A true gem. They have some beautiful fresh and salt water fish and coral. The biggest surprise was their large assortment of reptiles. Ball pythons, geckos, and much more. I used to visit quite often with my father for our salt water tank needs over 15 years ago and I'm overjoyed to see they're still doing such a great job since I moved back.

Been here probably 5-6 times. From the start the staff here has been friendly and well informative. Prices are really good I thought buying fishes would be more expensive. What I am really happy about is that they were able to explain a lot of my questions very well so they know what they are talking about. I will keep growing my fish tank and this will continue to be my go to place!

I’ve been shopping here since the late 90’s! I bought my first reptiles from here. Also my first saltwater aquarium which I had for many years before deciding to break it all down. I shop here now with my kids. This place has always had a great selection of fish, reptiles, and invertebrates!Everyone on staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help.

Best place to go for reptiles and amphibians... Love smoking a nice preroll in the car and then going inside to walk around and look at the fish in their tanks and then their reptile room... Adopted a guinea pig from here a while back. My fiance had been begging me for one. So finally we were in there one day and they had one, turns out it was left there by someone whose kids didn't want it any more ... I know the people in their pretty well and so when they heard my fiance giggle begging me to get it they said if I gave em 20$ I could take the whole thing cage in all. Needless to say we went home with a wonderful new friend and got a very good deal. This place is a family owned business and they are very personable if your a regular they know your name and take good care of you.

My son was interested in purchasing a gecko, but wasn't sure which type to get. We tried going to the big box pet stores, but they won't let you handle the lizards unless you buy them first and they weren't able to answer his questions.I drive past Ocean Gallery every day for work, so I thought we'd give them a try. They are friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They let my son handle a leopard gecko, which helped him make his decision.The difference a small business owner can make is significant. My son couldn't get the experience he had with Ocean Gallery at any of the chain stores, and without that experience, may have made the wrong decision.The animals are healthy and well cared for - I highly recommend them. And yes, he bought the leopard gecko : )

The variety of fish was great and the tanks themselves were all well maintained. The majority of the employees were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They also offer a variety of cleaners, foods and general equipment for your new pets. One employee even gave me a huge discount on multiple occasions. In addition, all of the fish that I have purchased have done extremely well in their new homes. I can't recommend this place more if your looking for high quality exotic fish at a decent place for a smaller local retailer.
