UPDATE: Went to dollar general and got that SAME 6pc box of chocolate for $3! The large 20pc box is $6.25. Smh. They should be ashamed of themselves for selling it for $5This dollar tree is ghetto and beyond full of rude staff members including the manager. The valentine's day chocolate box was $5 and the cashier informed me, i was taken aback at first but said to the lady oh okay well I'll still pay for it because i wanted it and the cashier confirmed with the manager that it was $5 (i didn't ask her to) and she was like yeah its 5 and I'm like okay y'all need to move that (politely, no malice). And the manager whipped her head around and it's like why? The sign is right there (above the shelf not at eye level) so i looked and said okay and she's like yeah it's right there so I'm like okay it's not that deep like i said I'm going to pay for it regardless so she gonna smile and turn her back like you're embarrassing yourself not me. Now the whole dollar tree quiet because you wanted to cause a scene. All the 1.25+ stuff is in another section including valentine's day stuff so i figured yeah that should be over there if its $5. Extremely rude I don't care. There was no reason. I wasn't giving attitude to the cashier whatsoever just stating a general helpful fact. Don't even know why the cashier asked for clarification when i said I was paying for it. I didn't care the price but the attitude for no reason really took me out. And to turn around and see another cashier giving another customer attitude about the change and embarrassing him, I saw him shaking his head as he was walking to the car, like what is wrong with y'all over here? My friend was with me and she was like what was the point for? Don't smile in my face when you're in the wrong for getting buck when I wasn't even arguing the price. This store got 3.9 stars I wonder why. I will still go to the dollar tree by my house because we have 2 and one is family dollar connected so boycotting this location. I only came here because it was closer to the stores i was at

If I can I would give it zero stars.. I experience horrible customer service here is probably about the third time I went to this store emergency but every time I been there it’s been horrible. Last time it was waiting to check out there was a lady behind me as while and the lady Jessica that works there saw us waiting on the register to get attended and did not care to stop sweeping to check us out and I am very patient person but when she comes over she start checking me out sort ringing my items and throwing them. I was so upset. I completely for hot and go back to dollar tree as an emergency now this time I’m looking for help in the isles for the past 15 mins I couldn’t find help the young man is by himself at the register very occupied with customers which I don’t know his name calls over on the phone for Jessica she appears 5 mins later and when I seen her in the isle I said excuse me I have a question she keeps walking and then says Whatsup if I were her friend or something at that she had an attitude all I want it was to storm out she did not even want to show me or take to the isle just said is on that isle if you can’t find it then there’s no more and I ask her which isle she said that one I ask her can she show me since sometimes I have a difficult time missing stuff out. She did not care did not show me at this point I just want it to leave. Jessica if you don’t like your job look for something else that would make you happy clearly you are miserable here. It’s running away customers.

Employees are the most miserable here! Each manager is beyond miserable! No customer service at all ! Prepare yourself if you ask for something or a question you will be responded rudely. The store is well stock however very miserable environment of employees and managers!

I happen to especially love this Dollar Tree. They always have to have the shelves stocked with everything that I need. The Manager is Great as well as the employees. This is one of the Best Dollar Trees around.

It used to be $1 for everything forever but due to inflation being completely out of control, stores like these are now pricing everything for $1.50 or $2 for select items. It's not too bad. The store itself is very handy for lots of diverse selection of items that actually a rare find in other stores near by.

This is by far the worst dollar store I have ever entered. They’re a mess , nobody wants to help you & when I asked for the bathroom the “manager” told me she has a key for her bathroom & that it’s only for her not for the public … like okay I’m sorry do you live here in the dolor store since you own it ? I’m 5months pregnant & I had to pee she refused & gave me that idiotic response. Never again coming here…

Was in today to pick up a few things ended up leaving not buying anything. One register open and the line was rediculous. I realize that all retail stores are having staffing issues but one register open on a Saturday afternoon is rediculous.

Extremely rude staff. Not even bother to help. I had a cab waiting for me, i was at counter the lady over there was doing some admin work, she coupd do that at some free time but she opt to keep customer waiting and do her stuff. I said that if she can do billing first but she ignored that. I left the item and moved on.My personal experience.

I’ve been coming to this location for a quite some months now, due to the fact that I’ve relocated and it’s convenient for me, and I came here on 11/24 the day before thanksgiving to pick up some last minute items. The store wasn’t crowded or understaffed, thankfully. It was mainly stocked, but the issue I have is the associates aren’t very helpful with assisting with finding items, and also the cashier was so unsanitary. She coughed all over the place, showed little to no manners to excuse herself nor did she cover her mouth, she touched all over everything with her hand filled with germs and I didn’t realize she was coughing like that until she started scanning my items and 2 days later, I’m affected by it because I’m sick. Then, she was rude. She didn’t greet me, I said hello, and it’s like I was pulling teeth for her to simply say hello back. I’ve never seen her there, or experienced this from this location, but hopefully someone fixes this.

Staff very friendly, everyone respected ea others space. The store was and always is well-stocked. I purchased nice b'day cards and bought candles; I never even thought to buy candlesat the Dollar tree and there was a great assortment. Checkout was quick and easy. Will visit again.

This place is well kept. You have many options available here. The staff were all content to be there. I didn't see anything alarming while visiting this location. If you need a cart be warned those were scarse. If you buy in bulk, or have a large family, it will be easy to get what you need.Art section has plenty for the family activity we planned for.

I love the dollar tree by my house I go there every week. The only things I don't love is when they have long lines they only have one register open. I always have to get someone to open another register. Also now everything is $1.25 and you can find the same items in other places for less and even half the price. And they have discontinued some items plus they had before.

About what you come to expect from Dollar Tree. Some shelves are empty. They are doing their best to keep up with the traffic flow. Honestly it was very warm in the store today for me. Fall decorations were rolling out and they had plenty available. Overall they can do better but will they ever?

The DollarTree is always a great place to stop by for snacks and supplies, as everything was $1.25 or less. But during this last visit, they had items priced for $3 and even $5.

Didn't have everything I was looking for, for the past month. I like the different flavors of Ocean Spray cranberry juices and also haven't seen the Herr's Onion & Garlic potato chips .

Dollar tree in south Plainfield is not good at all . Staff is not polite . Everyone ion staff calling them self manager . Very rude staff . I will not advice any one to go there . There are more dollar tree store one should visit than south Plainfield one . I will not even give one star .

absolutely horrible customer service and attitude for no reason. I went in to get balloons for a party and was told there was no helium. My plans didn’t require helium as I was going to tape them to the wall. I asked it I could buy the balloons anyways and was told off that it wouldn’t work. I left, went to party city to confirm if foil balloons could be filled with normal air and was told they can be. When I went back to get the balloons, the staff member named Donna was very rude, both verbally and visually. Very horrible experience, will not be returning for any reason.

I went recently to this dollar tree and the manager was extremely, verbally disrespectful to the cashier, in front of customers. The manager should never speak to anyone in that manner regardless.

I always shop at different dollar trees, long lines and messiness is not uncommon but it’s a dollar store the prices are obviously worth it. What is not okay is recieving a nasty attitude from a sales associate. I was about to ask for a manager to let him/her know about how unnecessarily rude this associate was but I was so upset at the way she treated me that I just left. After reading the comments below I am glad I did not ask for a manager cause nothing would have been done. I am simply not going back because I don’t need a stranger to ruin my day with their negative attitude.

I always like paying a visit to dollar store in general to get small inexpensive items that otherwise go for much higher on other mainstream stores. However, one thing that always leaves me asking for more is wish they had people to assist you with looking for things. It's always a tough ask to scout through several sections in hopes of finding what you are looking for as help is difficult to find. Also be prepared to be rudely shotdown if you do go looking for someone to assist. Wish Dollar Tree can work on their customer service dept a little.

Everytime I go to this store there is always an attitude problem with an employee. Donna. Multiple times she has made the experience here horrible. She is always complaining and rolling her eyes when someone asks a question or gets in line. The other day I went in line and she had her mask off, looked at me, rolled her eyes and said “Jesus Christ ughhh” and proceeds to rudely check me out. No hello or thank you or have a nice day. Another time I paid and needed cash back. When she saw this she rolled her eyes and proceeds to aggressively take the register out, count the money and hands it to me rudely. If a customer is doing nothing wrong and is being nice there is no need for this. Donna girl if you don’t like your job then just quit.

I stopped in to get some things for the house. I needed Kleenex which they did not have so I picked up a couple of other things. During my visit the store was kind of busy people looking for cards and gift bags. Gift bags were a little picked over.

Great place to bring someone who loves to shop. Let them binge shop! Everything is a buck so even over buying doesn't matter. Best prices on things and seasonal decorations. I go often to get necessary every day use supplies I need.
