I would not recommend this place if you are seeking saltwater fish. The fish here are all dead, and the staff seem indifferent to the condition of the tanks. The water is not clean, and the employee was preoccupied with the cashier instead of addressing customer concerns. For a better experience, I suggest visiting Edison Petco where the environment is clean, and the staff are knowledgeable and attentive to customer needs.

We are vital care rewards members so we visit this store a couple of times a month for supplies and grooming. We only visited store today for refund because we were charged twice for bath and didn't notice until we returned home. There was a bit of a line when we got there but it moved fairly quickly. Cashier was quick to process refund and even apologized for mistake even though she was not the person that made it. I appreciated her efficiency and empathy.

Great PETCO store in Piscataway, NJ. Jack & Christopher V. were great and super helpful. Jack handled my new parakeet gently & he was very professional answering my questions. My new parakeet is very healthy & happy. I also found some cool, unique toys for my son’s parrot as well.

Today I walked into petco searching for a fish then I came across this skinny long haired man with glasses that was absolutely no help and very rude I tried asking for help and he kept ignoring us seemed very racist . I mean if you work there your supposed to be patient and help not seem annoyed and in a rush Luckily this other tall man with glasses took the time to explain everything and was very helpful . Really appreciated it but definitely the other man shouldn’t have been on the floor “ helping “

Petco seems to be decent company, hopefully not woke either. They have everything in the world for pets. Also the associates are always good & do the best they can to help. I value their input most as the pet I am coming for is NOT even mine! It is my daughters who does competition cheering up and down the east coast, so the dog stays with me.

So I visited my grandson saturday. He wanted fish for a valentine present. I don’t live in nj, but my son lives in south plainfield, so we went there. I know NOTHING about fish. Nobody could help us. So I bought 3 glo fish that he wanted and an tank, filter, food, the works. My 7 yr old grandson was elated. We followed all the instructions that came with the tank. Sunday morning, they were swimming around and eating. Sunday evening DEAD!!! All 3 of them. He is hysterical crying. So my son promised to get him another fish. But NOT in this store! I told him to find some other place and if they all have no expertise in fish, we have a store in PA that does! 3 fish dead in less than 24 hours!

I have no clue how this place is still in business. If the photos can’t explain enough, here is my notes:The place smells like rotten fish, not clean at all, empty cardboard boxes everywhere, stains and dirt all over the floor.I used to go and buy fish for my Aquarian from there but I have noticed it is getting worse every time I go to this store. The fish tanks they have are all dirty and those poor fish die in there without any care.Staff is very rude, look like haven’t slept for years. They won’t offer any help unless you ask, even their staff cloth is dirty.You would see it all once you enter the store. Won’t go there ever again, unless I see a change.Note: the Petco store in Edison is way better.

I received excellent customer support in preparation of caring for a 5-gallon aquarium. The store associate went above the duty of selling a fish; his advice on the care for fishes and aquatic life creatures for the tank where professional as well as helpful to ensure a healthy environment. The purchase was one betas, two snails and two tetra.

This is suppose to be a $150 haircut? Judge for yourself but never taking my pet back here... possibly the worst haircut he has gotten. I left him at 1pm I got him back at 7:30pm.... and this is what I come to? You serious.

They don’t deserve one star also.I have worst worst experience with one of your grommer, her name is Tena. She grommed my dog for the first time otherwise we always have best experiences with Sarah.What Tena did to my dog was beyond the humanity, she cuts my dog ears yes both ears with bare trimmer. She kept him for 8hours and guess what I went to her twice asking her is my dog ready!! She kept saying touch up is needed. At the time of closing she called me and asked me to pay and gave my dog and I didn’t got time to check him. As she asked me to hurry up because it was the closing time. My dog who never ever cry he literally cried whole time until we reach home and i was checking him and cuddling him and GUESS WHAT there was a bloody CUTs on my dog ear, not one ear the cuts was on both the ears . And I was shocked panicked because it never happened ever ever. She didn’t tell me what happened or she didn’t show me curtsy to say sorry or she didn’t even put any medicine on my dog ears. Mind you it not a just a cut whole ears because my dog ears are long and flappy so inside the ears .I am so so in shocked more than me my dog. He is being very quite and silent. HER Name is TENA.No one can trust on you Petco because you guys hired her.I am going to post this whole story on social media with my dog ears photos.We called back Petco and the manager Juvenile was very sorry and apologising but I know it was not his mistake infact he gave us ointment and pain medication for my dog. And I am very grateful to him but Petco this is you guys where people like me leave their babies to get spa and haircuts to feel good and happy not to get tortured.

This is one of my favorite petco stores. They are always well stocked with feeder insects. The associates are friendly and helpful. The aquarium section is well taken care of as well.

This was the worst grooming experience that we have ever had. My dog is one year old and he usually goes to petco in a different town but this time brought him to Piscataway one which was the worst mistake ever. They didn’t shower him before cutting his fur. Showering him before would make it much easier and smoother process. He has never ever had any issues at grooming before. I get a call two hours into the appointment that he is misbehaving and I ran to go pick him up. It was odd to me that my well trained dog was acting that way. Once I got there one half of his body was done. He was bathe before hand and he was shaking. As soon as he got into my car he started crying and as we came home he was afraid and shaken up. This was the worst experience ever. I will recommend pet parents to NEVER take their beloved fur babies at this specific petco grooming. Worst ever!

What do you need to know? The contents in the store are in its name. petco. They have pet goods. All the pet goods you and your pets can imagine. I ran into a few employees. I asked questions. They answered questions. Life was good. I got what I needed and I got out. I brought my Boston with me. And the world did not end. So, if high need pet stuff. You go here and get pet stuff. It's that's easy. Trust me. It won't hurt you.

Took my two dogs, both mixes, around 50 lbs each to be bathed and have nails trimmed. The groomer Nikki did such an amazing job that I booked her again. I've never brought them to have baths before as I always do it myself at home, but I thought I'd treat them (and myself) as I wanted to have their undercoats blown out for the spring. She made sure when she blow dried them, that they wore special ear muffs to protect their ears. She also gave them lots of kisses and love while she worked on them. I took the time to walk around the store to look for a few items and workers were stocking shelves like busy bees. But they also would ask me if I needed any help with anything and always with a smile. All of the people I encountered there were phenomenal, knowledgable and very helpful. Everything is clean and organized and people are there to help you make informed choices and help you in anyway possible. Will definitely be going back to that store.

If I could give this place zero stars I WOULD. Today my mother took our dog to get groomed, not only did she spend 4 hrs there. They did a HORRIBLE job, they left him unevenly cut and on top of that cut off his lashes, ANY experienced groomer knows not to do this. My poor baby left shaking & anxious. Not worth $90 WHAT SO EVER !!! Look at his legs!!

The only place I will take Milo to get groomed. He looks like a new dog when I leave. He’s brighter a d whiter thanks snow. Janice does an amazing job and he’s not easy to deal with.

I agree with previous reviewers, 1 would have given 0 stars if it had not been for the helpful staff that I had to pull away from register. Most items are not were they should be; I spent way too much time on a scavenger hunt for every item. I needed to open my phone’s magnifier to even read their tiny print on price tag. That’s if there was one on the shelf. The set up is a mess. I was embarrassed to ask where the fish food was and this was after spending almost an hour in fish Department alone. There were dead fish that had disintegrated. Not a great experience for the kids. I carried at least 3 different fish tanks to the register for price checks before complaining. Then, the cashier came with me to help. She asked ?? to narrow down the search and then brought me to a completely different area where there were more tanks. Petco, pay humans what they are worth. Get your store to operate efficiently; spend some money on updating. Rusty shelving?? Bring me back as a customer.
