This supermarket belongs in the ghettos of newark. The floor tiles have been broken for over a decade, the freezers have been leaking for many years, The self checkout is horrible, Food is very often left on the shelves. Far past its expiration date indexed or spoiled.

I asked for a Halloween themed birthday cake for my son . Specifically asked for black green purple & orange . This is what i got !!! Where is brown part of Halloween colors !?!? The manager tried to flip it on me saying i basically ordered it wrong !!! But the paper the order was written on was correct ! 😤🤬

Over the last 2.5 years I’ve been going here, the quality of the food has declined.Over the last month I’ve thrown out at least $50 worth of stuff — rotten produce (apples, strawberries, grapes, blueberries..,everything basically at one point), deli cheese that wasn’t properly packaged and crumbled into a million pieces, frozen goods that were almost a month expired….the list goes on. And that was just this past month!!!I’m a creature of habit and really enjoyed going to this store, but I literally can’t afford to keep throwing out food.**I would also like to mention I spoke with the store manager about this and he was very nice. But nice = quality food.

Rude and aggressive stuff.Never come back again. Came on morning at 8 am to get a coffee. woman run on me and told me that I need put on mask on face. I went back to car got my mask came back, this time she start to telling me that they serving only for seniors need to come back after 10 minutes. I told that it is too cold outside and can I stay inside and wait for 10 minutes. She start to screeam and told that she call police to make me out. maybe she got crazy or woke up by smth,.

The sales go from Friday to Thursday. We get there by 6pm every Thursday, and the sale tags are already taken down. I understand that you need to prepare for the new sales starting the next day, but it's not fair to people who shop on Thursdays to remove them so early. There's no way for us to know the correct prices unless we walk around with the circular. It's problematic enough that we are considering going to a different grocery store.

Wow...I've lived across the river in Easton for 24 years, and I finally checked it out. So happy I did-- their selection is excellent. I've never come across Chime's Ginger Chews in Meyer Lemon flavor. The fish and meat section is great. It's like our local Wegman's crossed with Giant, with a splash of Whole Foods. It's big and uniquely stocked. It has a Starbucks inside, too(!?) This is my go-to store now. Looks are deceiving: it's not an updated aesthtic, but the selection is superb. Staff were all friendly, too.

Much easier to maneuver than walmart WAYYY less crowded. Excellent produce deli and meat selections. A bit pricier than walmart but they always have excellent sales, check the weekly flyer! Their flyer prices run Friday through Thursday soo some friendly advice....meat shop on Thursdays. They have a lot of markdowns because they have to remove what didn't sell at close on Thursday. :)

Clean and nice supermarket! Stop n Shop has the best lunch meat around. Their deli has great employees that are always ready to help you and take a good care about you and your preferences. Their donuts are also tasty and they usually have good deals. Their lottery kiosk is also opens daily til 8PM (Sep-22).

I would have given this store a higher rating but unfortunately one particular employee had brought this down to a 1 star. There is an older Black woman that works at this location that has always had a nasty attitude and always unprofessional. I only went to her register one time and it only took one time for me to realize that she will not be ringing up my purchase I refuse to go back to her.This particular time I was at self check out and she came to another employee three times while I was ringing up my purchase with her phone in hand talking about what she posted on social media not sure what her reason for this was and why she felt the need to come over multiple times to talk about social media meanwhile she runs back to her register because there was a customer waiting. Not only does her actions is an example of poor customer service but I was also embarrassed for her a woman of her age should not act in this manner especially while on the job.

It's so expensive. I usually go to shop rite. Sorry. I just needed 1 thing no one had at the time. They didn't have it either. But looking around the prices are Nuts! The store had more employees EVERYWHERE than customers n it was packed. That's crazy. Ya couldn't go anywhere without more employees in your way. I can't stand that. I just want to relax wen I shop. I could Not do that there. No ty I'll stick to shop rite for now..

Messed up the printer because the paper was in the way and the heavier lady with blonde hair had quite the attitude about having to fix it and doing her job. What’s the point of an attitude at a mistake which I said sorry for. Wish I saw her name but I’m sure the heavier blonde is a good enough description. Thanks for doing your job with a bad attitude 😄

Very disappointed. I've been shopping at this Stop and Shop since they opened. Today I was doing self checkout, the woman working there comes over and asked if I paid and starts going through the computer. I said yes, and hand her my receipt. I said why? She replys with, you're taking to long....really.?I went to the manager. It was very insulting. Like I was steeling or something...I probably won't be back.My advice,...get better help, she was very rude!

This Stop & Shop location comes as close as humanly possible to making grocery shopping a pleasant experience. Good selection of items, pleasant and helpful staff, lots of free parking. I've become a regular here.

Nice clean medium size store not a super center. They don’t have a seafood department but sell packaged fish. The meats and poultry are all packaged. They have a deli counter and a good bakery department. There is always a register or two with a real person to check you out.

As a valued and regular customer, I have keenly observed the behaviors and experiences at the store. It has come to my attention that there is a woman working at the Starbucks within the store by the name of Caitlyn who consistently demonstrates unsanitary behavior and portrays an unfriendly and rude demeanor towards customers. This issue has not gone unnoticed, as several of my friends who also frequent the store have shared their avoidance of Starbucks altogether when this individual is on duty. Therefore, I highly recommend that store management takes immediate and decisive action to address this matter and ensure that all employees consistently deliver professional and courteous service to customers. In my considered opinion, the most appropriate course of action would be the prompt removal of this individual from their current position to a non-facing customer role, as it is evident that she should not be entrusted with responsibilities involving food handling or customer interaction. On a positive note, I would be remiss not to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of Kathy, who consistently exhibit exemplary skills in her craft, particularly when it comes to preparing hot chocolate to absolute perfection. Her dedication and expertise in delivering a consistently delightful beverage experience should be commended and recognized. Moreover, I have been made aware of the invaluable contributions of Ariana, Darleen, and Brian from the front desk. These individuals consistently exhibit friendliness, professionalism, and a remarkable depth of knowledge in their roles. Given their exemplary performance, I firmly believe that they deserve consideration for promotion to upper management and leadership positions. Such a move would not only recognize their individual abilities but also contribute to the overall success and positive reputation of the store.In addition to personnel matters, it is disheartening to note that the store is sorely lacking in fresh, wild-caught seafood. As a discerning customer who values high quality and freshness, I find the absence of such options to be a major disappointment. It is crucial for a store to fulfill the diverse needs and preferences of its customers by offering a varied selection of fresh seafood. Failing to provide these options may not only lead to customer dissatisfaction but also discourage future purchases. Consequently, I earnestly hope that the store's management will take decisive steps to address this issue and ensure a more extensive and consistently fresher selection of seafood for its discerning customers.Additionally, the quality control measures in the produce department have proven to be unsatisfactory, as evidenced by my recent experience with a watermelon that had to be discarded. Unfortunately, this incident is not an isolated one, as I have encountered similar disappointments with tomatoes, strawberries, and other produce items in the past. Given the premium prices of the store's offerings, it is incumbent upon the owners to assume responsibility for the subpar quality control conditions and make investments to improve the overall shopping experience. This could entail implementing more rigorous quality control protocols, upgrading the seafood section to offer fresh options, and enhancing the cleanliness and maintenance of the store. By taking these proactive steps, the owners can ensure that their customers consistently receive high-quality products and enjoy an overall pleasant and satisfying shopping experience.In summary, I hope that my observations and recommendations are taken into consideration by the store's management. The staff and managers make this the supermarket it should be . They know your name, will help to every extent. Ken and Judy are the best. I want to feel like it's my neighbor grocery store when I go there, and these 2 wonderful employees do just that. Even thru this whole covid thing, the store has all their products fully stocked. Still the best, freshest produce around and The deli has a huge selection . Even the butcher will stop and talk with you if you have questions about the meat. This place will always be my favorite and many of my friends and family. Oh, and I forgot to mention they have great hours , I work late and can still go shopping when I need to.

Good selection of products and great service. Not too crowded if that's something that appeals to you. However, the lack of a fresh seafood section does bring down my rating. I wanted to purchase a big piece of cod fish but they only had fillets so I had to get frozen portions. No big deal but if you're in a rush, frozen meat isn't ideal. All in all good place to shop.

It's very clean and hlepful staff, the reason I like to go here is the Boar's Head Turkey and Beef Salami and the fresh Italian Bread which is the best in the area. However the prices of the products is high compared to other supermarkets in the area. Highly recommend for the bread and cold cut section.
