I love being able to support a small local business that provides excellent service, and Paramus Puppy Spa does just that. The prices are fair and my dog always have a great experience. They provide timely and fair-priced services, and my dog always looks fantastic after an appointment. I discovered this business during the 2020 lock-down when my dog desperately needed grooming, and they provided safe curbside service when no other groomer would. I am eternally grateful for their care during that time and am I a happy regular client.

We love Puppy Spa we have been going to them for at least 10 plus years. The owner and the staff are truly amazing. They are so good at their job fast but loving and caring for my fur baby coco. He always looks so good when he’s is done he gets so excited when I say let’s go to puppy spa and when he sees Andrea he is always so happy to see her. As a dog mom that is what makes me happy knowing he’s in good hands they also let you know if they notice something during the grooming session. We truly love them if you haven’t tried them I definitely recommend you won’t be disappointed

Returning customer after trying another groomer (when my elderly dog passed it made me sad to return here because they were so kind and gentle with him). Total mistake on my part because my shihtzu was getting so stressed out at “the other place” she became a demon dog. My dog walker suggested Paramus Puppy Spa and I remembered the success I always had with them. Sure enough my sweet girl was groomed beautifully without all the aggro behavior from her and embarrassment from me. Maybe a bit pricier than “the other place,” but to us totally worth it.

I really did not like the cut that was given to my new puppy. He went in a youngster and left looking like an old man. I should have said something, but I paid and gave a tip for time, but they made my puppy look ugly and I'll have to find another groomer to go to. He smelled good though.

I've been to several groomers and this is the one I've stuck with for the past several years (please don't ever move or close!!) The girls are so friendly and he's done within an hour. We wait for him in the parking lot. Although I know my dog is very nervous and anxious, I feel good knowing he won't be placed in a crate for hours and he's in good hands. I've been going to Andrea ( owner) for grooming for years now. It's clean, staff is friendly and my Silky Terrier looks great when she is finished . My life is a bit busy so my pet doesn't go as often as she should, yet Andrea finds time for her whenever I call. A good plus is that ,unlike those big pet stores, your pet is never kept in a crate for hours. When the grooming is finished, you are called. That's a plus!

Paramus Puppy Spa is a great place for your doggie groom needs. All personel are very nice and attentive. Andreia loves mi moquita and allways welcome her with cheers. I love taking my Moca to have her grooming every month with Andreia and her team. They are very careful with her as she is a senior minidauchsand long hair and needs care and love specially for her back issues. I totally recomend Andreia and her team.

Overall experience was horrible in the most honest way possible. I got there 15 minutes earlier than my appointment and the person in the front (maybe the owner?) rushed me so much. In the note you write to the business on their website, they ask you for the age, breed, what service you want, etc. to which I wrote everything listed. When I got there, she seemed to not know anything about my puppy. It was me and my puppys first time so of course I was nervous. She did not help me feel comfortable leaving my puppy at all and barely answered any of my questions. She just took my puppy out of my hands and proceeded to bring her in. Before I left, I asked her what the estimated prices should look like. She starts saying "in the $70+ range" which was wrong because I specifically asked for the services that start at the $30~ range. I had to be the one to clarify which service I wanted instead of the worker clarifying with me. Shouldn't that be the first thing they do? I won't say they were trying to scam me but it was unprofessional. When I came back to pick up my puppy, they told me they used an unscented hypoallergenic shampoo. My puppy smells WORSE than ever. She smells like a dirty dog that played around with other dirty dogs. Not to mention, they barely cut her hair. Fine, she's a puppy, there may not be much hair to cut but she did have hair to trim. Even the hair they "cut" is uneven and ugly. To end it off, after I took her to the car to feed her some water, she threw up a treat sized solid item. Definitely not a treat I gave her and the treat was obviously way too big for her that she could not ingest it. I would never go back and never recommend to anyone if you care about your dogs. If the owner was at least nice & understanding of my concerns, I wouldn't be so upset. But the experience was horrible for me and my puppy.

Awesome experience every time. Brought a pic of a cut I liked and they did exactly that. I love the fact that you drop your pet off and they take them right in and when they're done, they'll call you to pick them up. No crating AT ALL! The staff is so sweet. I would recommend Paramus Puppy Spa to everyone. So many people stop to ask about my fur baby and where he gets groomed and I have over this place. It's worth every penny!

Our little goldendoodle had a bad experience at a different groomer and Paramus Puppy Spa was highly rated and close to home so we decided to try them out. I am so happy we did. I trust this place with my dog - enough said! I’ve brought my Morkie, Artie, to four different places over the last few years. I have always dreaded grooming day, because he is very anxious and the experience always causes him so much stress. Every time I’ve picked him up from other places he is a mess. But not here! Artie went for his second visit this morning. He looks great, smells great, and I did not for ONE second feel uncomfortable leaving him. He went in with his tail wagging, and came out the same way. The staff are professional, kind, and had his grooming done in 1 hour. We’ve never been happier!!

DO NOT COME HERE. Never I’m my life have I ever been hustled like this for any service. I was charged over $80 dollars for grooming which I read in the sign that for a whopping $80 dollars you get a bath, haircut, nails you know the standard services expected when taking your pet to the groomer. Oh and I bought two bows to place on my dogs head.THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. For all I know they didn’t even bathe my dog it’s inane and illogical I cannot wrap my head around how I had to come home and trim my dogs body parts for hygienic reasons at home myself.I told the groomer that I wasn’t satisfied and my dog needed to be actually groomed (listen it looked like all they did was place bows on her head and call me an hour later) she’s 6 years old she’s been groomed many many times she didn’t even smell clean! The woman told me that I would have to book an entirely different service for the hair cut how does that even make sense when she went in for a haircut to begin with. It’s insane but thank god my credit card company is awesome and will be refunding me for this trash service! Don’t come here! I would shed an actual tear should have gotten hustled by these “people”.

Decided to take my 2 Schnauzers standard and Giant after reading some of the reviews and recently moved to the area. After paying $70 and $180 they looked like I had groomed them(which I do sometimes). I was expecting my dog’s schnauzer eyebrows and cut to be on point but that was not the case. Yes their advertised prices are deceiving.

I just want to say Thank you for sticking to your appointment times. I’m a nervous dog mom and he hates being in a crate. I wait out in the parking lot and he’s done in an hour sometimes less. I hope you guys never change the way you do things because this is the only place I’ll bring my nervous dog. He comes out happy and looking awesome. Well, I think he’s happy to see me, but that’s okay. I like that he’s in and out and no dropping him off and waiting hours like so many other places. Please don’t change this!! Thanks again!!

I saw the prices online and I thought it was reasonable. I decided to take my dog there I told her I know he is matted and needs to be shaved down. I understood that from the beginning. When I asked how much it was she said $70. I'm like can you explain to me your pricing online. She stated even though he is a small dog her starting prices is $60 and up. I'm like in your website it clearly states small dogs $40.00, medium dog $50.00 and large dog is $60. I was confused and she said that next to the prices there is a plus sign. I never in my life paid $70 for a dog grooming. The owner is out of control. I felt like it was false advertisement. I'll never again take him there.

When I first got my Maltese I tried 5 different groomers and for one reason or another, I just didn't feel comfortable. As I was started to lose hope I came across Paramus Puppy Spa...fast forward almost 9 years later and I would never bring my dogs anywhere else, I now have two. Andrea and her team are not just amazing groomers but wonderful and kind people as well.My dogs don't sit in cages for hours waiting to be bathed- their appointment is their start time! There are no cage dryers- it is all by hand. I have since moved 30 minutes from PPS but I still make the drive once a month for the grooming.If you care about your dogs the way I do- then Paramus Puppy Spa is the place for you. Its a place you can be confident your furry children and loved and well taken care of.

I have a Weimaraner who does not like to be bathed at home. So I gave it a shot and brought my dog to be bathed at the Paramus Puppy Spa. Since it is a short hair dog, it only needed to be bathed and I needed some supplies for my pet as well, and every since I took my dog to Paramus Puppy Spa, my dog knows the days of the bath and automatically jumps in the car to go...I never saw that coming. I can tell that the workers/groomers at this placed took care of my dog so well, that my dog (their customer) was eager to go back. I don't know if I should feel offended that my dog prefers to be bathed there more than it likes to be bathed by me!! The front desk staff is very helpful and professional. I have three other friends who take their smaller size dogs there to be groomed and they love the place as well.

We've been going here for almost ten years, despite having moved to Montclair 8 years ago, which should tell you something. Our Jack Russell mix has some behavior issues, and the staff here are great with him. We have no complaints.
