I try not shop at this location as it has a kind of an old & dirty feel to it, but today I didn't have a choice. The biggest problem is so much of their stock is EXPIRED. Yet they won't pull the expired items from the shelves - I guess they'd rather pass the loss on the consumer than absorb any loss themselves. Today I picked up a box of breakfast bars that expired 10 months ago (I'm not exaggerating - expired in Apr 2023)! If this is not deliberate, then is is extreme gross negligence. And it is shameful. I strongly recommend either the Paramus or Englewood locations - these locations are much cleaner and everything is much fresher.

Need to check the expiration dates on everything you buy here , unfortunately forgot to on a few occasions and realized later on at home that a few things were expired. just recently bought bread that was best by the next day. this is ridiculous and has happened to us numerous times over the years. they shouldn't be stocking food that's close or past its expiration date.

I live in palisades park and have been coming here my whole life, they’re doing some renovations which is nice, but they need to clean the dairy shelves. I tried purchasing a gallon of milk and picked it up and put it in my cart, the carton was sealed but somehow the rest of my groceries had milk on them. I touched one of the products in my cart and the smell was rancid. My hands also smelled putrid. I put all my groceries back and got a different gallon of milk and the smell was still there. The milk shelves are covered in rotten milk that probably spilled months ago and then stinks up every other gallon of milk from the bottom leaving the bottom of every milk gallon covered in curdled milk. I got some of the putrid rancid milk on my shirt and smelled bad my entire trip there. Please clean your shelves and customers please wash your milk gallon before placing it in your fridge!

Just got accused of stealing because I decided to look at gift cards on my way out with a cart full of groceries. Old blonde lady wore glasses was working around 940pm on a Tuesday evening in the front end; she sent a manager to chase after me to review my receipt and my groceries. I’m really going to risk getting into trouble for stealing a gift card that won’t work unless MONEY is paid to use it. Absolutely stupid. Hire competent people in your establishment please.

Diomaris and Christine are pure GOLD!!! I came in needing a really large order for our school’s thanksgiving feast! They made sure the food was ready and hot and they were just so sweet and accommodating. They could have easily just taken my order without any of the extras but they went above and beyond helping me. I can’t thank them enough. In such a high anxiety time during thanksgiving they chose to make the very best out of each order. Some customers take their dogs (not service dogs )and place them inside shopping carts and no employee say anything about it. Very unfair for the next customer that will use that same shopping cart. Dirty !

We went here the Friday before Thanksgiving at around 6pm and lucked out, as it wasn't busy at all. We hadn't been to this location in a while and we're glad to see that it had been updated. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

A nice store with a great selection of fruits, vegetables, meets and a bakery shop on site.No alcoholic beverages sold here, and disorganized deli department.A free parking lot with the most pat holes of any parking lot in this area!

Through Instacart I order items .I am 86 and alone and depend on shopping this way.Unfortunately the roasted Chicken was burned black and the meat was dry.Perhaps leftover from day before.I was immediately refunded. I still had to dispose of it..so the sliced mushrooms were so dried they wouldn’t cook. Waste of oil and garlic and my intended lunch.Question is..whose watching the store ?I am old and try to make easy meals and expect to receive better quality.Refund was kindly given but I didn’t help with my food situation.As you can tell, I am ver upset.Agnes D

Update (7/11/2021): they have added self checkout kiosk for both large and small shipping trips to minimize contact and for faster checkout. They are intuitive and easy to use.Good selection of groceries and home goods at an affordable price. Customer service is friendly, checkout times are decent and plenty of parking.

Large store w/ decent pricing. Lacks fruit selection. Would prefer Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s—I shop here when the other options aren’t open or I’m in the area. Plenty of parking available. Has ATM inside by the counters.

Update: I'm still a loyal ShopRite customers, still shop at various ShopRites supermarkets here in Bergen county. Unfortunately, the ShopRite of Palisade Park, NJ, still maintains a lower rating, in my opinion, with respect to items in stock The supermarket is still continuously out of stock on items that are on sale. It's a similar situation with the Shoprite app. They claim to have the items in stock on the app, however, when you visit the market either the item is out of stock or they don't carry the particular item I seek. Nonetheless, when you request rain checks customer service always issues them without any issues. That's never a problem. The employees are almost always very nice, and check out is easy and quick.

This ShopRite has updated many areas.New refrigerated showcases.Tasty bakery is on the premises.Meat department excels in service.Excellent customer service.They do have to hire more cashiers. Self-service is slow especially when one has to bag their own with their own bags !!!Assigned self service personnel are eager to assist and correct my mistakes. However the computer occasionally has a mind of its own. Once it questioned my purchase of 4 identical boxes of coffee.Parking lot is kept clean.Clean aisles and cartsWell litMore refrigerated showcases will serve the customers more efficiently.Sadly, I feel the new management is out of touch with their older clientele. New changes in placing items makes no sense. i.e. removing vinegar from the salad dressing area. For some apparent reason, the store has been stocking items in different areas.Chaos!!!!

It's a good enough supermarket but they always have the same things - it gets tiresome. I prefer the ethnic mix at Hackensack and Englewood but this store has very fresh meat well cut.

Worst ShopRite Ive ever been to. Will never shop here again. Placed an order online for fresh garlic and was given 2 packs of moldy garlic, one of them so moldy that furr was growing on the garlic. A human got my order together and didnt even bother to look at the products they were grabbing. ( I think Samantha) Then they tell me I have to come back in and bring the garlic in if I wanted a refund...so I ask for a refund for the $5 pick up fee also since im inconvenienced by having to come back to do the return. The manager didnt seeem to care that his store is giving out rotten food and wouldnt even come speak to me...Very unprofessional. They lost a customer that spends hundreds over less than 10$. Im extremely disgusted and recommend anyone that shops here to check your food extra carefully because they clearly dont. Shop Rite is going down hill will be taking my business elsewhere. They should consider hiring a new manager.

This is easily the worst ShopRite in all of Bergen county. It’s actually very sad and everyone agrees. Figure it out! You have a massive location you could put a lot more in there if you redid it. I drive an extra 20 minutes just to go to the one in Englewood (a real ShopRite)

I ordered with delivery and driver did not call or text that he was on the way. If he have done that I would have been out right away to get my groceries. I will not use delivery service ever again. I might have to reconsider shopping here.

A ShopRite location where you have the distinct pleasure of having employees show YOU attitude! What a joy!Particularly the older ones. Sorry, but it’s the truth. The young kids they’ve hired within the last year are all good workers, helpful, and respectful. But if you come across an older worker? Best of luck! You’d be fortunate if they even want to help you. They’re disgruntled, seem burnt out, and are rude.

Been shopping there since 2000. Went there this morning for the skirt steak and other items. Couldn't find the steaks that were on sale. I went to customer service and the young lady was nice and asked me to speak to the butcher and I asked him for the skirt steak. There was at least 4 other customers in search of the same steaks and we were all told to come back in 10 minutes and they would be on the shelf outside of the butcher's door. I returned to find the same customers still waiting for the steaks. I waited for 30 minutes and could not wait any longer. My impression is that they didn't want to sell the steaks at the price they advertised. An employee of the meat department asked me if I really wanted to buy Australian beef? I was surprised that a store employee would ask me that question. I Have purchased that brand before (Natures Reserve) and never had a problem with the brand. Thanks For reading my post and I'm going to try again tomorrow.Will update when I go to the again.

This is not a good ShopRite to visit. There are many others in the area - try Englewood or Paramus - both are excellent.Palisades Park has a big problem. They do not rotate stock correctly. EVERY single item you purchase, you MUST check the expiration date. The vast majority of what is in the store is near or past expiration. Everything from dairy to frozen to canned goods to fresh baked - constantly wading thru expired items to try and find something still fresh.If you have to visit this store, just make sure you check the dates on ALL items. I've been burned many many times. I got burned once again today - and yes, that's why I'm writing the review.

Awful store. They have taken away almost all of the checkers and have forced customers to use self-serve. The self-serve machines are constantly stopping, requiring store personnel to fix in order to check-out. Store personnel are unfriendly and hostile to customers. Never shopping there again.
