I recommend this place constantly to friends and colleagues - I’ve never met someone who wasn’t thrilled with the quality of the food, the charm of the space, or the attitude of the staff.Their fresh bread and baked goods are divine (jalapeño cheddar biscuits are so good.The owner Sam is an absolute doll who really puts his heart and soul into his establishments. We love saying a quick hello - he always makes sure we had a good experience. Keep up the good work!

Such a gem of a place owned by a very kind man. My father recently passed and friends ordered food for us that was delivered by the owner himself. We were completely shocked and surprised. My parents loved having lunch there with friends, so this was very touching to have the comfort of the General Store's food as we were in grief. Very grateful to have this place in our neighborhood!

Very nice place with very friendly people. Food is off the charts. The BBQ brisket sandwich has a unique flavor and is absolutely delicious. For breakfast the eggs benedict with pork belly is out of this world - see picture. Can't wait to go back.

Not handicapped accessible, two steps in front (by roadway), several in back by parking lot. Quant little place. First time visit and the food was good at a reasonable price. Only ordered breakfast, did not get anything from their bakery.

Please, please, please give this place a try. You will not be disappointed! We got there around an hour before the place closed and didn't realize the kitchen was already closed and they were only open for takeout. The young man there re-opened the kitchen allowed us to sit in the dining area, fired up the grill and made us all some of the best food we've ever had! The kindness this man showed us was so wonderful and this was matched only by an amazing meal we all got! They have earned a customer for life. This is the type of place you only find a few times in a lifetime. Please patronize them. This place is wonderful

Tried the late afternoon pizza tonight. Just cheese (my daughter has yet to understand the joys of other toppings). Anyway, here is my take:Crust was excellent. Better than any I have had in NYC. Just the right amount of tangy and crunchy. The sauce was just right to complement the crust and cheese.THIS WAS A REALLY, REALLY GOOD PIZZA.I will be eating my way thru the full menu in the weeks that follow. I will update as appropriate.

We stumbled upon this place by complete chance but we left, thankful that we did. The food is wonderful! I had the deviled egg sandwich and my husband ordered the Hogg. The coke with homemade potato chips and a pickle. Also the sandwiches are cut in halves, so we both shared. The Hogg was delicious and you could tell that even the tomatoes were fresh. The Deviled Egg, in my opinion, was even better. I could have just eaten the egg salad with a spoon and called it a day. Also, the cashier was very friendly. I’m now looking up AirBnB in the area for a weekend trip.

We visited this place during our bike ride. The staff was very helpful and courteous. They allowed us to use their bathrooms. They even provided water and ice when we asked for it. Some of us ordered French toast, coffee etc. We loved this bike-friendly place!

I always hesitate to leave a bad review but the raw meat in my sons breakfast sandwich really left an impression. Stopped in for the first time today and picked up 2 sandwiches, gluten free cookies and some fries. The breakfast sandwich had RAW sausage in it. Yes, RAW sausage. After waiting 15 minutes for 2 sandwiches, you would think that the breakfast meat would be cooked. My sandwich was "fine," nothing special. The cookies were terrible as they were hard and crumbly and we could not bite into them. The good news is that the fries were tasty. $30.00 for for 2 people was a very steep price to pay for a lunch that was quickly tossed away. Very disappointed.

Those reviews that were harsh and downright snotty…. No place can make you happy. I’ve been in the restaurant business for over forty years and you’re only good as your last meal period!Now , Sam is a hard working man!!!! And very caring to his customers and his passion to put out a meal with love!I ate the the blueberry pancakes they melted in your mouth. The coffee was excellent, service was divine and the decor is clean and comforting.Ohhh…. Complaining about those prices , then go into NYC and see what you get for your money….Especially for breakfast.

I’ve eaten in and have ordered takeout here numerous times. Overall the food is so tasty and fresh! A bit pricey but well worth it. Homemade baked goods and amazing sandwiches. The Poppin Pastrami and brisket sandwiches are both delicious.

We used to come here when it was the old general store, was a good old American breakfast and sandwich place. New ownership has cleaned up and stepped up the quality of everything, from amazing home baked pastries and bread, to the delicious breakfast that we had, everything was top notch. Service was great as well, even though we had to wait a bit (we had a large group). Was totally worth it! Kudos to the new owners, we could tell customers were leaving with happy faces and full tummies. Sorry no picture, we gobbled it all up lol - next time.

I make the trip out to this little store in lovely Oldwick solely for their bakery items. They make the absolute BEST chocolate eclairs I have EVER tasted! They are also busy at breakfast and lunch times with excellent food. A small gem of a place!

I always go to this store when I need some girl time with my friends. It is the perfect spot for catching up with friends and enjoying the simple food..the grill cheese and potato chips are the best. The improvements to the store are wonderful and the people are always nice. This place is popular so you may have to wait a little to get a table, but you can sit outside with a cup of coffee and relax and visit while you wait for your meal.

Wonderful place, definitely drive an extra couple minutes off the highway. You can eat chipotle another time! This time choose the historic and quaint set of buildings and the delicious and uber fresh food here.We particularly enjoyed the tomato soup and BLT.

Delicious sandwiches. Really top notch. I ordered a platter of seven for a lunch, and each one was spectacular. Came with store-made potato chis that my guests found on the counter and stood in the kitchen eating them from the kitchen. Chef Sam knows food.
