AAAAA+ Gardner Hardware has maintained a first-class operation since I've been going there for over 30 years. The Gardner Family has always done their best to offer better and more personal service than other stores. I've lost count of the number of times that Joe has gone above and beyond helping my friends and family solve with every type of project you could possibly imagine. The True Value upgrade has enhanced the business and given local customers access to a greater range of products.I'm glad The Gardners are still there and hope they will be for many years to come. Gardner Hardware deserves more than Five stars and gets my highest level of recommendation.

Great selection of Hardware for all of your needs. Good quality products instead of the cheap products. I prefer this hardware store over Home Depot in a heartbeat. Staff are always helpful and nice. Great location as well.

Not sure where I'd be without this place. Staff is awesome, so helpful and knowledgeable, this is my goto place off island. Gets a little hectic during the summer but they have lots of staff and even have someone outside manning the LP refill station on weekends. Store has a lot more inventory than you think, if you can't find something just ask the staff and they will know EXACTLY where it is.

A well-run well stocked local hardware store that somehow seems to have anything you really need, or they can get it for you. The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It's a great asset to this community.

Was reading through some of the negative comments and felt compelled to leave a 5 star rating since my wife and I have only ever had the best experiences at this store. We’ve been in at least 10 times to prepare our house for the season and each time we are kindly greeted, offered knowledgeable support and assistance with pleasure. They have held items for us when we called in advance, readily offered advice on ways to save money on projects and even helped us to carry heavy items to the car after checking out.I am happy to give Amazon a break and support local businesses when I am guaranteed service like that at Gardner. Plus the beer and liquor store is across the street so I usually hit two birds with one stone 👍🏼

Everything a true value hardware should be. Well stocked for almost any repair/project and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Bit of a maze inside but logically organized so you’ll quickly get the lay of the land. This place is fantastic!

I was in the store a week ago and at least 3 people on their staff did not have masks on. I told them I was health compromised and they still did not put on their masks. I was horrified at their lack of concern for my health and that of their patrons. I went there to support a local company but in the future will go to Home Depot because they are better at following mandates to protect the health of their patrons

Good selection of products, excellent prices, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. What surprises me the most is that the selection of gardening materials and tools trumps the local garden centers and rivals box stores. I go here weekly for something or another, and always manage to do well here.

We have a house in Sea Isle City that is a rental property, whenever something goes wrong I go to this store. It is amazing that they literally have just about everything, including all the little things that home depot doesn't even have. We are very impressed with this store, and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

I spend a lot of money there every year getting the house ready for the season. This year, went there to get a fitting for a dishwasher, got there a few minutes before they closed. I knew where to look since I am there often. Could not locate the exact fitting, then the lights go out. We yelled and someone came to help locate the exact part, since it was hard to see in the dark. No big deal.A few weeks later I needed 4 hose clamps, got there right at closing and a customer just walked out as I pulled up. I got out and the door was locked, I knocked and a young man shook his head "no". I tried to motion I needed 4 little clamps, again he shook his head in a negative manner. I threw up my hands in disgust and walked away. The little punk comes out and has some snide, sarcastic remarks. I left and won't be back.As I was leaving another customer was at the side door knocking. I drove past him and I said they won't let you in. He said his wife called for a very small item and it would be at the counter when he got there.I understand closing time, but when a customer arrives at that time for a very specific item, to the store employees should just ask them what they need, it's not like a department or grocery store where you could browse for a hour, then I could see not letting someone in.,....I get that. But when you have 2 customers who know exactly what they needed, not to mention the part was waiting for him at the counter, there is no excuse for such bad customer service.I started another project, and instead of running to Gardner true value, I made a list and made the 15 minute drive to home Depot. Spent just about,$200 there that I would have spent at true value.I don't mind spending a few extra bucks at a small business rather than giving it to a big box stores, but Gardner's True Value has lost my business for good. They also lost my neighbors business after I told them of my experiences there.I would not have been so angry if it didn't happen twice and the employee coming out and being a snot nose punk.BTW, he was 18-20 year old male brown hair, about 5'-10" tall, working the closing shift on Saturday, July 1

Best equipped hardware store in the area. Chances are they have what you need, and unlike Home Depot or Lowes, you can ask someone who knows what you need and will take you right to it. Worth the few extra bucks not to have to drive the extra distance and to get the personal attention.

Definitely should stop here if you need something. Looks small but is rather large. Blew my mind away with everything they carry from Yeti products to travel trailer supplies, auto and household. Huge selection.

It's amazing how many different kinds of things they have in this little "hardware" store! And the employees are super knowledgeable and can find the little things for you. Just ask... Although you may be tempted to wander around to see what they have.

I can’t imagine how many property owners in Sea Isle, Ocean View, and other communities have been bailed out by the staff at Gardners. Plumbing, electrical, paint ... you have a question or aren’t sure? - they know the answer and help you every step of the way. My go-to place for everything at the shore. Can’t recommend them highly enough!
