they resell donated items in their store . All volunteer personnel who raise money by selling donated good. They are Cape/Atlantic cats who rescue cats and try to get them adopted. Some very nice nicknacks , picture frames and that type of ilk!!!!

I never fail to find something to love in this thrift store: beautiful seashore candle, cozy slippers, gold rimmed cake plate for some examples. Love it!

I love it at Mew to You! Not only do I find affordable items to buy but every cent goes to care for and find homes for kittens, adult and senior cats that have been saved from the streets. Go for the shopping help save and make life sweeter for the cats!

I rescued my cat from here 10 yrs ago and she is the sweetest most loving fur baby. She has always been very healthy and my bestest friend. You can’t go wrong adopting from here.

Wonderful store and the cats are all precious. We got a little blanket and some toys for our cat. Hard to find souvenirs for the furbaby, glad we did.

A wonderful place that offers miscellaneous items for sale bit the real attraction is the cats. Be sure to buy a t- shirt( comes in grey, Blue , and pink) which helps their costs of maintaining upkeep for the cats. Sadly , some people dump their pets after their vacations and this place takes them in.

Love this cat rescue / thrift store combo. Proceeds all go towards helping the cats and there’s all kinds of unique and vintage stuff to find!

I honestly hate it here. How can a place filled with cats have such negative energy? The employees and owner, that’s how. this place straight up discriminates against people who are young and people of different races. So if you are a 75 year old white lady you can get a cat, good luck to anyone else.

A lot of the reviewers don't seem to understand exactly what this place is. It is not a cat cafe, it's a thrift shop that benefits cat adoption. So no, you can't just walk in and pet cats (but you absolutely can watch them through the windows!) I've been browsing the thrift shop for years because it's a totally great idea--shop and help save cats! And we adopted two absolutely wonderful kittens three years ago. Had no problem with the application process even though we are out-of-state adopters.

My boyfriend and I went here looking for a kitten, and we spent a good thirty minutes here meeting the cats and filling out an application. We even decided to apply to adopt two brothers together so that they were not separated. We were told we would hear back in a day or two, but heard nothing back about our application for a week. At this point, we called to find out what was going on with the application and were told there was an issue getting my pet records from my veterinarian regarding a cat that I used to have that passed away. My vet refused to release the record (supposedly) which is understandable since that is not something that most vets would just hand out to someone other than the pet’s owner. Anyways we were told again that we’d hear back the next day after the owner looked over the application again. We never heard back, so we called again to get told we did not get approved. First off, why wait this long to let people who are excited to give a kitten/ kittens a forever home? And second, why make it so impossible to give these poor kittens and cats a forever home? It makes no sense to me. Don’t even waste your time coming here; they are unprofessional and there are plenty of rescues and shelters willing to adopt their kittens and cats out to those who are willing to give them a great forever home. I wish I had read the other similar reviews before wasting the last two weeks assuming I’d be giving two kittens a home.

All sales help Cape Atlantic Cats! They sell some interesting gently used items and a treasure could be waiting for you. Then see which cats or kittens are there for adoption! A kitty friend could be in the stars for you. Love this place! They helped an injured feral of mine named Charlie. He had to have his tail amputated. He's recuperating nicely and responding well to petting by the volunteers! Maybe he's your guy? Go see him.

One of the worst shelters I've been to. I adopt many animals to help them find a home they may live in forever and this place is very rude and seems to be extremely discriminating against people who are not like them. While I was not there to personally adopt a kitten/cat I have been there multiple times over the course of the past few months looking for a kitty for my just born daughter. I observed how they interacted with their other customers and potential adoptees and you could feel who they were and were not going to approve right off the bat. Utterly disgusted by their actions. These failure of workers are not only overtly rude but also borderline discriminatory. During a conversation with a potential applicant They had the gall to say you should probably get a car at another shelter! As if these cats were too good to be adopted by the likes of the potential applicant! Can you imagine someone who recently lost a loving animal family member goes to a shelter to adopt and connects with the animal ready to do what it takes to get their new family home with whom they bonded with being told yeah try going to another shelter you might have better odds there. As if! I would not recommend this place to anyone who is a first time adopter or does not "fit in".I personally was treated well but after seeing their employees treat so many potential adopters even ones that I happen to bump into multiple times unsuccessfully adopt while also being treated rudely turned me off from this place. Another thing so many of these cats have received eye infections and URI that it's essentially animal abuse to keep that many kittens and cats in such a small enclosed area that they seem to be hoarding rather than letting them be adopted. They need to be reported to NJ ASPCA as well as New Jersey division of civil rights.

Had the opportunity to look at some cats and kittens the other week. You can tell they really care about their animals and treat them very well. The employee who introduced us to potential cats to adopt was very knowledgeable and was a great help and helping us find a cat that met our needs.

Recently just lost my cat I raised since he was 7 weeks old, he had lymphoma. Looked up this place online as well as humane shelters. I walked in and I thought I was in the wrong store. Walked in the back where there was 10 to 13 older cats and explained my situation to the older lady that I want to have a baby again and she told me that kittens arent pets. She then goes on a rant on how she adopted out kittens and it turns out horrible, they always come back worse off. She then goes on with no one spends enough time with them; there always getting neglected. I explained to her that I live with my husband and we work opposite shifts so someone is always home. It was the strangest thing. The whole time trying to get me to adopt a older cat "that's just a doll". I came in looking for a kitten and you trash that idea to give me a 5 yrs old cat who's been sitting in your place for who knows how long. All in all I went in looking for a kitten to adopt and walked out like wth?!? Who gave you permission to adopt pets out???

Do not go here if you want to actually adopt. They have shady business practices and would rather keep all the cats for themselves then give them out to anyone. Cats are not properly taken care of many with infections. Employees seem to be in their own world. Absolutely no customer service and adoption process is unnecessary.

Honestly was so dissapointed with how they deal with their adoption process. Horrible service and most unfriendly people, they will seriously never sell one cat there. The owner Judy would much rather hoard the cats and would prefer to see them locked up in her pocession. They critique all customers head to toe and will find an excuse not to follow through with the adoption process. Take your unwanted cats elsewhere so they can at last find a safe and loving home.

Awful service. My boyfriend and I asked for an adoption application for one of the kitten's and the woman immediately told us no, without knowing our names or anything about us. I proceeded to tell her that one of them was coming down with a cold (he was coughing/reverse sneezing and had eye discharge) and she didn't seem to give me a second thought. If you had asked, I would have so nicely informed you that I am a vet tech headed to veterinary school. Maybe you shouldn't be so rude and judgemental if you ever plan on adopting out your animals. Maybe I should be keeping those kittens from YOU instead of the other way around.

My boyfriends 32 year old brother was very excited to get a cat. He brought the litter box and food and anything a cat needs to survive and have a happy home. However he was turned away because of the location he lives in and was judged. EVERYONE WHO IS CAPABLE should be allowed to have a cat or a dog or pet. It is very sad that the people running it decided to turn him away due to his clothing or his location of living. That shouldn’t be a factor. It sickens me. He is a fully capable adult who should not be turned away for his financial difficulties. WILL NEVER GO to this place ever and I will be putting it all over Facebook and I will be looking more into what I can do about this situation.

Extremely upsetting experience. Wouldn't let us in the cat room to look at the cats. It was only the two of us. Because we had been unsure if we wanted to adopt, so they wouldn't let us see the kitties. We didn't have children or anything so I was really surprised. It was a rainy day, and during off season.

Wanted to adopt two cats that are siblings for my girlfriend and kids as a surprise. I was told I had to put in an application before I can see the kittens. So I did so right away. NEVER had a problem with any rescue application even when they have came to my house to check on the condition. This ignorant lady tells me before she will adopt the cats to me my kids and girlfriend have to see if they get along with the cats first. I explain I’m doing this as a surprise that all my boys have had animals in their lives since they were babies. Her response was this “I don’t care about your family or your surprise. I want to see how ur family is towards my cats.” Well anyone with that kind of response doesnt deserve my money or help. Sending prayers to those cats cuz after reading reviews it seems I’m not the first.

This little thrift shop is full of many different kinds of items! In addition, they do cat adoptions. I adopted my cat, Luna, there and it was a wonderful experience. The staff are both friendly and helpful!

Went in to ask for guidance in helping two feral cats that need to be relocated out of a harmful situation - never asked for them to be taken - the woman at the register totally had a melt down screaming at me that they have 100's of cats and they could not take mine! Never once did I ask for them to be taken. Then she had the nerve to tell me that I was not listening. Very sad when a rescuer cannot talk to a rescue about possible resources to contact.

They help cats. Their little thrift store has many nice gently used items for sale that helps offset their costs for helping the kitties.
