So a year ago we left a Yelp review praising this establishment, and a year later happy to report we still love the customer service and advice by the team here. The two rod and reel combos they sold us last year have stood the test of time, and the rigs and bait recently purchased led another two weeks of nightly surf casting with success during our vacation. Excellent advice on how to store, maintain, and prep rod and reels, and rigs and bait for where you intend to fish. Thank you!

We tried fishing for the first time at the beach in ocnj. Absolutely no success. Stopped in at Fin-atics and Justin hooked us up with the correct bait and rigs and a few tips. The next 2 days were a huge success! My kids and I caught several fish, 4 different kinds, and a few sand sharks. Lots of fish and lots of smiles! Thanks for your help, we'll be back!👍

The best rod rental spot!! Owner was very helpful and kind. Rental was super quick and easy, and reasonably priced. Nick was also a great resource for the *hot* fishing places and additional information, particularly about ensuring we had our salt water registry documentation that you evidently need to have in order to fish in salt water now. It's free, but necessary or else you could possibly wind up with a hefty fine if the game warden comes around. Highly recommended coming here for your fishing needs!

We stopped here to pick up some crabbing and fishing supplies last summer during our visit to Ocean City. This place has everything you need. The staff is friendly, helpful, and honest. We wanted to rent some equipment to do some surf fishing and the staff recommended that we save our money. They told us that a tropical storm way out in the Atlantic was causing less-than-ideal conditions the week we were there. This kind of honesty goes a long way. We definitely will be stopping by again this coming summer.

I stopped here today and I must say the customer service here was amazing, I felt, my money was well spent. From the time I walked through the door till I checked out every question was answer including where to catch the fish too, what bait, what reg to use. I would definitely recommend this tackle shop especially if your a tourist like I was.

We went here twice this week. Once to rent bay fishing rods and once to rent surf rods. Both times the person at the counter went out of their way to help us. The gentlemen who helped us with the surf rods gave us a lot of advice and we wound up catching a few fish which made my son Extremely happy. Would recommend this place to anyone! Loved going there. Went to rent a rod for the week and they easily could have just ripped me off and rented me a rod but told me to buy a cheaper one instead because the price to rent would exceed the buy price after 2-3 days. I’m very happy and will be returning often when we’re down here for my fishing needs.

Horrible customer service. They don't stand behind their products. Bought a $50 rod and it broke within an hour. They wouldn't even do an exchange. Plenty of other places to buy your fishing equipment. Don't waste your time or money. They have no quality products. BUYERS BEWARE!!! HORRENDOUS customer service.

Usually go to a different bait shop and when we arrived they were closed even though their hours online said they were open. I asked someone that worked on a boat near the other shop on bay near 2-3rd street and they referred my husband and I to FIN-ATICS! Very easy to find and it’s a very nice shop! The two gentlemen behind the counter were ready to help us in anyway we needed. Very polite and informative. I would refer FIN-ATICS To any and everyone in need of anything from live bait to types of gear. I’m so glad the other shop wound up to be closed and we discovered FIN-ATICS! All the gear is here. The staff was also knowledgeable and generous with their time. Memorial Day weekend family trip to OCNJ, 2019. Perhaps the busiest time of the year. Ed and Thomas were easy and present with us through the hustle, lending us tips for fishing spots and gear, and fixing our tangled line on the spot.

Felt I was ripped off when buying blood worms. Not 1 decent size bloodwork in dozen. I believe he caters to locals and screws everyone else. Be careful. Check what u buy. I didn't my bad.

Great selection of Kayaks, lots of Hobie Kayaks to choose from which work great in the OC bay waters. Friendly staff and very helpful! Definitely recommend visiting and checking out!! Also ton of reels to look at behind the desk.

Fin-Atics is one of the best tackle shops around. They have anything you could possibly need for local Inshore or offshore excursions and reasonable prices. We were so impressed by the customer service and advice given by the staff. The love for all things fishing was contagious. The atmosphere was welcoming (we are lady anglers). We rented rods and purchased the tackle recommended. There was no "upselling" or pressure. The recommendation for blood worms was the ticket (mid August). We caught spots and a kingfish on 18th street beach. What great memories with nieces and nephews. If you are even thinking about fishing on vacation, just do it! Fin-atics has got you covered.
