I don't think I've ever had something from JDs that I didn't like. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've used them for catering also and I was impressed with their pricing and options. Tables are always full and staff is always friendly. Quality is consistent. My favorite is constantly changing but my family loves the BLK and the patsy.

JD’s Taylor ham egg cheese HB patty sandwich (called the Braves) is the BEST Taylor ham sandwich in North Jersey. Staff are incredibly nice, welcoming and hard working. I always feel welcomed and it’s like Cheers, everyone knows your name. Fantastic family atmosphere on the weekends. Their sandwiches are top notch (love the Liberty too.) Highly recommend JD’s for breakfast and/or to dine-in or for take out.

JD's catered an event for us 10/22/23 and all their sandwich trays and salads looked beautiful and were very tasty. We had assorted subs, wraps, sandwiches, and salads. Thank you from the Glen.

Riley is the best!!!! Had a very last minute catering order that I needed and Riley made sure my order was not only done in time, but got everything I wanted in my order and with such fair prices! Thank you so much. Not to mention the new look of the place is so nice. Need to come here more often!

The staff and food are amazing. We usually do sandwiches, and there is enough variety to please even the hardest to. Nothing is too complex, the food speaks for its self without being dressed up. There is a small counter to sit a few or tables for around 20 people total. Feels like a hub for activities in town. The staff is always SO pleasant, in the phone and in person. I would strongly suggest JD's for breakfast or lunch.

Great little place to eat. The staff is super friendly, and make you feel at home. The food is fresh. Had their Healthy Choice Omlet the spinach was fresh not the frozen stuff from a bag.

My only problem with JD's is deciding what to order. Their Pastrami Ruben is the only one I can eat outside of NYC. Their Crab Cake Sandwich (only available on their specials menu Fridays) is the best crab cake I find outside of New England. I recently started having an occasional breakfast wrap from JD's and they are great, too.Their prices are very reasonable, and downright inexpensive considering the quality of ingredients.I could go on and on, but needless to say it's apparent they care. Both about the quality of food they serve, as well as making sure their customers have a consistently pleasant experience. I normally get takeout form them, and they're always prompt to have it ready timely. I'm glad to have stumbled upon their "hidden gem" of a deli/restaurant and plan to continue as a regular customer.Just don't call in a gill order past 3 o'clock, as the grill will be off (though sandwiches and deli items are still available until closing). They are a breakfast and lunch venue, not dinner.My sincere thanks to Jennifer, Debbie, and their staff for never disappointing me on a great meal.

very good local deli. You know it is good when the seating area is full.I always get take out. The rolls are is very fresh, it is the first sign of a good deli. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions the same very fresh. The deli meats are in right color and you knew it's right one. They make so many sandwiches that the inventory keeps moving. Perfect amount of meat, not to little, not to much. The staff is always friendly and I'll say it again, Great Local Deli.

I can't start my day off without stopping into JD's for my morning coffee. It is always freshly brewed and has many flavors to choose from. The owners are so friendly that they have your coffee waiting when they see you coming. The owners and waitresses are always friendly hand provide great service. The breakfast and lunch sandwiches and wraps are great. They are always make to order and served on delicious and very fresh bread. The baked goods that are offered such as muffins and crumb cakes are also fresh. JD's is a family friendly, local, relaxed place that Oakland is very lucky to have. People should definitely stop in and check them out...

Best Deli in Oakland, potentially in Bergen County. My go to sandwich there is the liberty, but they have a special on Thursday called the Thanksgiving hero that is to die for. Can't recommend them highly enough

Great food, great service. A terrific local deli that has become the go to place for breakfast and lunch by locals and tons of out-of-towners that have discovered them. Always friendly and welcoming and they have a wonderful selection of absolutely delicious sandwiches and dishes. Worth the trip, even if they are out of your way.

I love this place! Sausage, onion, cheese and potato omelette is my weekend go to. Summer/winter hours vary from postings so be aware you may want to call ahead. But breakfast and lunch is always delish.

My wife and I have always enjoyed what we've ordered. I love the whitey and she's hooked on the JD sandwich the Aioli mayo is fantastic. I have to agree with Linda, our coats did smell like a restaurant, but It's not offensive they did air out.
