Store is located on a major North/South road. There is a few handicapped parking spaces and the store itself is handicapped accessible. The store was clean and well maintained. The shelves were well stocked. Most of the aisles are wide. They have a deli, a vision center and an area where you can purchase tires for your vehicle and have them installed. They sell a very large selection of merchandise.

I been always buying from Costco but my mother in law asked me to go to BJs because of prices being better. Let me tell you something that happened on my first visit. I brought my aunt who is just moving to NJ, she is starting a new life here, got an apartment, bought tv on Saturday and cable company came on Monday to install services and when opened tv box, tv was broken. Today, Friday on her day off we went to the store to return it since it was damaged and manager is telling me tv and box have two different serial numbers. How did this happen? No, we didn’t switch tvs. First time we buy a tv this size and brand, this person is just moving here and bought a tv with first paycheck and now we are not able to return it! we are 100% sure that the broken tv with a different serial number was put inside that box by someone else! Not us, how do we prove it? Manager didn’t help at all to look for other ways to find out what exactly happened here, there has to be a tracking number to see who else returned same tv before us and exchange new tv to a broken one. Now we are stuck with a broken tv that we paid for and won’t get an exchange or our money back, what kind of business is this? My recommendation is go to Costco who is a 100% satisfaction guarantee, somewhere else or open anything you buy from this place before heading home so the same thing doesn’t happen to you. Be aware!Wish I could give 0 stars!

I got my tires changed there & it was taken care of nice and professionally. The mechanic name there is Rick & he was pleasant. Unfortunately he’s the only person working there due to shortage of staff and handles all the negativity from others due to lack of help. They need to give him a raise & some help! Cause he is doing amazing! 10/10

Been a customer since this store opened back in the 80s. Never had a problem with any of the staff, and always find what I come in for. Today, the doorman was so nasty to me on the way out. Get off your phone and pay attention to providing customer service.

I the positive side, they carry some things that Costco does not. However they are constantly trying to sell credit cards to members who don’t want them and are inconsistent in honoring coupons. They often have coupons for an item but the product does not have the correct quantity and the store will not honor the coupon unless the manager likes the customer. They never have enough cashiers on duty which results in long lines at checkout. They change the computer systems but even the managers sent to train the employees are unfamiliar with the new system, causing the cashiers to fend with long lines of angry customers.

This location run by idiots. In the past 2 years they have either 2 bottles or 0 bottles left of Wellesley regulat almond milk in stock. Tons of almond. Never regular. Been there 3 times in 2 weeks. This is constant

My parents have been a BJS member for over 15 years. Today July 21 my mother had a bad experience at self checkout. My mother was using the BJs app to scan her membership card and an older women who worked at the self checkout told my mother she wasn’t allowed to do that. So my mom took out her bjs membership card from her wallet and scanned it and put it away. The worker then harassed my mother to say that she wants to see the physical card and see that it’s my mom in the picture. Which it was my mother in the picture. The lady at the register went on to print my moms transaction history at customer service to see if it was still really her membership. I’m offended and angered that this happened to mother especially since I wasn’t there with her. The only thing i’m thankful for is that the manager was there and my mother said that they apologized for the behavior, but train your people better or hire people with better manners and people skills.

Go to Costco. Went there and after two hours of shopping I was told my card was not working. After waiting at the cash register for 15 minutes I had a woman from the back desk come over and say my car has been canceled with no explanation. So instead of being nice about it and offering some explanation or offering to sign me up for a new card (which I would have done) she said if I wanted to checkout there would be a 20% surcharge... I have never felt so disrespected in a store in my life. Also, my card had not expired and was due to expire next month but since I decided not to renew my membership I guess they revoked my last months membership even though I had paid for a full year.

I am writing this after a few years. Never have forgotten the awful treatment I received by a worker at BJ's who called themselves a manager. Wish I could give no stars. When I was there I happened to have my 3 year old granddaughter with me. My cart was full and almost ready to check out. My granddaughter, just a baby and well manner, told me she needed the restroom. I went over to the lady's room where someone was cleaning it and had a sign saying that. I asked the woman if my granddaughter could use it quickly and she said no. I then proceeded to ask if we could use the men's room when the manager was called and she said no. Well, here I was with a 3 year old needing to use a bathroom. I left my full basket of items(which amounted to a few hundred dollars) and left to find a bathroom elsewhere. This incident has never left my mind about how insensitive the workers at BJ are. Have never renewed my membership and never will. I tell many people this story. All 12 of my brothers and sisters know. Never again!!!! You lost a great customer who puts events together for many fund raisers.

My family has been a BJ’s member for many years and never once have we had a bad experience up until my mother went by her herself Sunday morning (July 10.22) when exiting the shop the person upfront and a costumer gave my mother a hard time.

Love my local BJ’s. Prices better than Costco and even better than Amazon S&S for many items. Also just wanted to give the Indian/Pakistani lady (Nershani?) who works at the returns/customer service desk a shout-out because she’s always super nice and helpful with a great attitude.

Never too busy. Easy to get in and out. Self checkout. Usually well stocked. Sometimes they change up their food offerings which can be good and bad. New options are good. Losing favorites are not cool. Good/regular coupons in mail and online.

Customer service is my reason for this ZERO STAR review. Make sure if you EVER have any issue when shopping at this BJs that it is very convenient and NOT AT ALL A DISTURBANCE to someone that may have to take at most 2 minutes out of their day to help you fix a simple issue with your order. Hundreds of dollars spent here and now you’ve just lost a member.

BJ's is well worth the cost of a membership even if you already have a Costco membership. The truth is, each store has it's strengths, some of which are common to both chains and some that aren't. Unlike Costco, BJ's sells most of their clearance items at a substantial discount rather than just selling it all off to a thrid party liquidator. You can score some astounding deals on clearance items.Their clothing selection is much better than Costoco's and full of good quality name brands. I also like that BJ's accepts coupons and clearly identifies items that match up with exisiting manufacturers coupons. This can add up to some very big savings. Their tire department is run by Michelin. My experiences with them have been far better than my experiences with Costco's tire department. Their bakery is also quite good, and their $5 rotisserie chickens are every bit as good or better than Costco's. The BJ's app is intuitive, useful, and makes sense. Don't overlook this great wholesale club. They may lack some of Costco's polish and unique offerings but BJ's stands toe to toe with it's competition. Just as important, their Oakhurst NJ store is clean, well run, and has a friendly staff.

Always love BJ's until my last visit brought my. Eye glasses in to get new lenses put in them as the other lenses were scratched they send them out to a company for repair I got a phone call two days later telling me that they refused to fix my eyeglasses the reasoning was there was a space between the lens and the frame which is absolutely not true very disappointing I don't recommend taking your eyeglasses there they obviously know nothing about eyeglasses find somewhere else that is more reputable !

BJ's is BJ's... they're all pretty much the same. This one is clean. It has multiple self-checkout (as well as tended) registers. Product selection is typical. Disinfection personnel were stationed at the entrance to wipe down your cart and an abundance of personal disinfection supplies were available at the entrance. Company appears to honor it's commitment to employment of people from all segments of our society...all of whom are quite helpful...well done BJ's!!!

I get all my things here. They have an excellent selection of organic produce, including fresh and frozen. They also have all the organic milk and free range eggs. I also get my household goods there, greeting cards, etc.

I like the store however I go there primarily to get cold cuts breads and when I am there my shopping cart magically fills up. But everytime I go there lately the staff at the deli area are not friendly and are complaining amongst each other...yesterday I waited 20 mins one customer in front of me there was 2 others they left out of frustration watching 2 other staff members behind the deli counter complaining and working on cutting massive amount of cheese ...now at my job...I stop what I am doing and take the next customer instead of upsetting them specially when we can clearly hear them and see them...so when the customer ahead of me is done I ask formy order and to PLEASE cut it thin the staff member nastily said any thinner it will fall apart now the cut he was showing me is number 3 at another store but I said I did not mind please cut it thinner...he got mad and had to move to another slicer to cut thinner...was that the issue??I don't know but that same guy is never friendly and in the future if he calls my number and there is another staff member I will switch my number or leave if noone else is an option....its annoying cause I don't mind waiting but don't be nasty...it makes a huge difference in a customers attitude just as if it was vice a versa

Great place to shop and find food prices. Also BJs has aisle signs so you know which aisle has what. Unlike Costco which doesn't help you at all.

I’m in Bloomfield. Bought a tv for my Dad in Loch Arbour. Melissa never made it an issue that I wasn’t picking it up myself. Walked me through the process and could not have been sweeter or more patient. I had almost forgotten what “customer service” even means anymore. Most times I’m treated like I’m lucky to be buying from companies nowadays. Well, not today. Thank you, Melissa, for your work ethic that shows me you’re going to be successful in whatever you do!!! BJs, find ten more Melissas and you’ll put CostCo out of business!! 😁

Horrible waiting to check out only 2 check out registers open. Even the self check out isle were 3 or 4 people long waiting.If this store represents the company everywhere in the similar manner I can't see how they stay successful
