I have only ever had wonderful experiences here. I have been taking my dogs to Poochie Pet Spa for years. First with my older family dog and now with my own . I have two small dogs one of which is a Chinese crested . A few spas in the area don’t know how to groom him or question what to do with his hair. Yesterday we took our mini Doxie and crested in for a groom. We called in the morning and the fit us in for a same day full groom for both. They look great and were well looked after .

I had called this place to ask if they did nail trims. They said yes small dogs on price medium/large another price. I told them great I would be by to get my PITBULLS nails done. The woman turned around and said no she does not take large dogs. I tell her she just quoted me a price for medium large dogs and my dog is a medium size. She still said no and hung up. This pissed me off by far. My dog is a giant love bug and gives no trouble with nail trimming. If anything she licks during her appointment. I’d cut her nails myself but I don’t trust me and am afraid I’d hurt her and cause problems in the future.I’m truly sad that I can’t utilize this facility because of their beliefs and unnecessary fear towards pit bulls. Absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend at all. I don’t even plan on bringing my westie here as I have a second dog that needs monthly grooming. Worst experience that I had before I actually set foot in the door.

Disappointed! I made an appointment over the phone and talked to a lady. I said I wanted to get my dog groomed. She asked me his name and asked what day would work for me. I said Saturday would work and she gave me a time and that was it, hung up. I thought it was weird she didn’t ask for information or anything. I left it alone because maybe they would take the info in person. Upon arrival, they look at my little cavapoo and ask if that is Cash (My Dogs Name). I say yes and she tells me that she was expecting another dog named Cash who is larger and has short hair. Which I am guessing would require less time to groom than my dog. A appointment is an appointment no matter the dog. She tells me that she does not have time today to groom my dog. No option to reschedule or fit him in when they have time, so I just left. I don’t think that’s how you do business. This place is 5 mins from my house but honestly I’d rather drive an hour than go back to this place.

I have been bringing my morkie here for the past 6 years and he always comes back with the cutest haircut. People always pass in the streets and ask where he gets his haircuts from. I would highly recommend!

I definitely wouldn’t go back or recommend this place. I took my 3 months old puppy for a mini-grooming. He screamed (very sharp & high pitched ) 5 times within 5 mins service while the other dod which was getting a full grooming service constantly screamed (exactly same scream as my pup) as well but the groomers don’t seem they care AT ALL! They just kept buzzing no matter how uncomfortable the pet felt… there was no loving or tendering. I was in mental shock that how much the pets are in pain while they get groomed. The owner (looking lady)said “they don’t like to be groomed that’s why they scream. They just need to get used to it” Lady, sorry, my pup got his face and paw trimmed before and he was perfectly fine, not even a single whine or barking, he was screaming today because he got hurt!! I felt terrible for the owner of the other dog that I saw today. I should’ve read the review first 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have been taking my 12-year-old mini-poodle here for some years now, at the enthusiastic recommendation of my former groomer, who was retiring. She visited all the stores in the area before pronouncing Poochie Pet Spa the best. I wholeheartedly agree! Olivia and the other women who work in the shop are all caring, conscientious, and professional. Coco always looks (and smells!) beautiful after her visits to Poochie Pet Spa. Plus, I know she is well taken care of when she is there. I have the utmost faith in Olivia and her staff. Great people, great place.

This place is amazing. We have been going to her for past 6 years. I live in Boston but I get my dogs groomed here (4+ hour drive). I tried so many places in Boston but cannot find a place that cuts better than this place. She always gives me updates on how my babies did after the cut. This place is next to my mom's place so every time I visit her, I get my two morkies haircut. Also, my mom has 4 dogs and one of them is 16 years old. The owner is always careful and loving with him and he comes back looking like a puppy again :) We highly recommend this place!

NEVER TAKE UR DOG HERE. The women, Olivia is very nasty. We saw two days later he had a huge cut in his ear. There's a reason Olivia is averaging 2 stars on Yelp. She could have at least told us what had happen but instead ignored it because who cares right? Horrible place and rude Olivia.

I love this groomer. She actually cares for my dogs. I have 3 dogs! 2 Fresh Mastiffs and 1 Cotton De La Tulear! She makes them all smell and look great! My dogs are not afraid to go in, there's no tail under the legs. They actually look happy to her!The best part is that they get the cutest bows by their ear which everyone compliments!Must try her!

I have been here many times over the years with my two dogs - Tommy and Darla (Large and Medium size). The dogs are happy to walk in the front door - without hesitation. The girls are friendly, love the dogs and are true professionals. The grooming is done to perfection! No other pet spa compares to them!

I just discovered these reviews while googling the phone number. Shame on the people writing umerited, disparaging reviews. I honestly feel like they're fake reviews from competitors losing business to Poochie Pet Spa!I've been taking my mini poodle, Punky, here since they opened and Olivia does an amazing job. In fact, anytime I'm walking my dog in my neighborhood and see someone whose dog has a great cut, they tell me they went to Poochie Pet Spa (this just happened again yesterday with a goldendoodle!)Olivia is a kind, hardworking person who is the best groomer I've ever met. I'm bicoastal between NJ and Los Angeles and even the fanciest, most expensive groomers out there don't hold a candle to her work.Once, she even noticed an infection in my dog's tooth and encouraged me to make a vet appointment. The vet was very impressed that the groomer was able to notice this and gave me antibiotics for my doggie.And by the way, whoever is talking about the cages? You can literally see the cages from OUTSIDE the store. It's unbelievably clean in there, smells great, and any pup would be lucky to get groomed there. There are special little touches, too, like bows in the hair. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

My Pug was treated kindly, and groomed beautifully. My Vet said that his ears were cleaned very well and his nails were perfect.What I liked most was that my dog did not shed profusely afterwards. All the loose fur was gone.

I brought my 13-year-old dog here and gave them clear instructions to handle her VERY gently without much force on her joints since she she severe arthritis. They paid NO heed and handled her so roughly. My sister has video proof of them basically torturing the poor dog by grabbing her legs in a rough manner. They threw the poor dog on the floor after they were finished, and her knees buckled. She has not been the same since--she is unable to run around like she normally does. She is wincing from the pain constantly, and she is unable to sleep comfortably. I cannot believe that bringing my dog for a simple grooming would leave her handicapped. So upset that they had no care for the animals they work with.

My dog Jackie comes back smelling like blueberries every time. Jackie's fur is always the softest after returning from Poochie Pet Spa compared to other dog groomers. Olivia, who I think is the owner, really cares about each of the dogs.Make sure to book at least 2 days early for weekends! They are extremely busy then.

When my wife picked up my dog, the owner lady complained that my dog has too much hair tangled. And later I found she charged $25 more at that time without telling my wife. We could pay more if she told me when picked up my dog. But she didn't say anything. I found the overcharge a month later.UPDATE] Just spoke to the lady and she insisted she told the overcharge when picked up our dog. She may have said or may not. But truth is she charged $93 for miniature goldendoodle. She didn't tell us at the beginning and just made up the overcharge because she feels like it.BTW my dog had shortest cut..almost naked after grooming. So, it didn't matter whether there was tangled or not when she cut.So, keep in mind there is EXTRA CHARGE if your dog is not what she expect.

From my experience, she is actually very good and kind. She always did a very good job on my cocker spaniel and my new puppy who is a half chichuawa half Dawson. I'm not sure about the cage drying though...some of these reviews seems like it comes from people who may be bitter on a personal level who knows?If you have nothing better to say don't bash on a business ESP since she always did a great job on my cocker...

DO NOT go this place unless there is No place to go for grooming around your place!! I took my two little dogs for grooming and paid extra for poodle feet cut as well as other services that which other groomers do not charge usually. they were held my dogs in the cage for WHOLE DAY until they Close. and result? one of my dog had huge cut under her arm doing clipper and when my we showed up for pick up, owner said cuts were exist before they start for grooming. OMG what kind of owner can't verify these cuts with blood are from before grooming 2month ago or happened just now? i was so mad really thought about to take legal action! i strongly recommended NOT to go this place NEVER.

If you have a large dog, I strongly recommend NOT to go to this place! I have been to this place almost 8 times but each time I visited, I got disappointed at the groomer's attitude (she is the owner as well). She complains the difficulty in handling large dogs (i.e. 2 people are needed for large dogs and it takes a lot of time while small ones can be done within 40 mins). Plus her pricing is higher than other spas. $80 bucks for full grooming and she charged add'l $1 per min for combing, claiming my dog shedded a lot. She also told me that I need to comb my dog before her place. Ridiculous. I checked other spas to see if this is normal and all they have said is that extra combing is PART of full grooming service. Being ripped off plus receiving complaints on my dog is JOKE. I willl NEVER use this place any more. Enough is enough. If she cannot handle large size dogs, she should not open the spa. No appreciation to customers. Horrible groomer!

I took my dog there to get groomed and they treated him with no care. They treated him with cruelty and after coming back from his appointment, under his fur was red with scratch marks that weren’t there before. They don’t care about their animals whatsoever and all they want is money. They are very abusive with their dogs and 100% DO NOT recommend taking your dog here.

TERRIBLE!, TERRIBLE!Please don't go this place!I had really bad experience to work done in this place recently.FIRST OF ALL, they made scar on my pet's head!!!But, they lied about it. Never apologize it!My dog had trauma for a while after the service was done.We all had really distressed and sad about their terrible service.The owner was really mean and dishonest!Please be aware folks!!!

They do a great job......they are very good with the dogs.....and it hard to believe but the micro bubble bath...does a deeper cleaning...and I think there is value in the additional cost....
