The Doggie Shrink is a great place to bring your dog for doggy daycare, boarding, as well as grooming. My dog loves to go there and play with other dogs for doggy daycare or when he's been boarded there. The entire staff Is excellent and I know they take very good care of my dog when he's there. Doggie Shrink came highly recommended to us by friends who have used this facility for both boarding and training. We could not be more pleased with the care and handling that they have provided to our two miniature dachshunds. The facility is clean and only receives pets that are current with all vaccinations. They treat our our dogs as family and provide the same love and attention as we do ourselves. Upon arriving for drop off, our dogs are greeted with affection and are anxious to enter the facility. The staff is always available to discuss whatever concerns and goals we may have for our dogs, and shares their observations in full detail.I highly recommend Doggie Shrink to anyone interested in both boarding and training their pets.

I’ve been using Kim and Doggie Shrink for years for boarding and socialization . They are excellent! We recently adopted a fairly big happy puppy who needed a home, but had no training whatsoever. With the help of Doggie Shrink, he no longer pulls on the leash after two sessions. They have also helped me with recommendations on how to train him, and he is SO much better. We also use them for weekly camp so he can get socialized and run around with all his new friends.

Kim, Lars, and the whole team are absolutely wonderful! I take my husky here every seven weeks or so and they always do such a fabulous job with his long, thick coat! He always comes home so much whiter, nicely brushed out, and his paw fur trimmed nicely. I cannot say enough amazing things about Doggie Shrink :)

We are so pleased with doggie shrink! Harrigan was not accustomed to being with other dogs because he was a covid puppy and no one was socializing. Now he’s enjoying being at Doggie Shrink so much that he barks the entire way when we drop him off. The staff is so caring and friendly. Thank you so much 😊

I cannot put into words how grateful we are for Kim and the entire Doggie Shrink team! They have quickly become our dog's favorite people and favorite place. They helped us navigate our dog's socialization issues and brought the sweet and gentle side back into our dog. They are always on call to answer questions and help with continued training. When I was in labor with my son in February 2023, their team allowed us to bring our dog VERY last-minute to be boarded and kept her happy and safe while we were in the trenches of having a newborn, as well as gave us tips on introducing our dog to our new baby. We can't thank them enough for everything and would recommend them to anyone in need of doggie daycare, boarding and grooming!!

I had my 6 month old puppy evaluated today for doggy day care and the people have been so nice and helpful. They were highly recommended and I was talking to someone in the parking lot that was so happy with them. I’m excited Bubba starts daycare next week. He’s very high energy and will benefit a lot from this. Thank you all!Update to the above:It’s almost a year since Bubba has been enrolled in Doggie Shrink and this is absolutely one of the best decisions I ever made. Kim and Lars have the best team ever. Everyone is so caring and really looks out for your fur baby. This is my first dog and my biggest fear was what if I have to board him, how do I keep him social when I have 2 cats and what if the groomer isn’t careful. Doggie Shrink helps alleviate any worry. They make sure you are aware if anything is wrong, like when Bubs had his first ear infection. I didn’t know until Kim told me his ear was scratched and we went to the vet and got it taken care of. They make sure everyone is up to date with vaccines to ensure the wellness of all of the pups. All I have to say to Bubs is ‘daycare’ and he gets so excited to go. I could go in for days talking about how amazing Doggie Shrink is. My only regret is I don’t work with them. I get a little jealous of their job when I drop Bubs off in the morning or pick him up at night. Thank you all so much ❤️

Doggie Shrink is the best!! They have so much care and love for the dogs. I have been bringing my dog there for 3 years now and I am so happy. Kim is the best trainer I have ever worked with, she really cares about what she does. If you need dog training, boarding, or day care I would absolutely recommend you bring your dogs to her! Her staff is wonderful, Rosie has the best time playing staying and learning with Kim & her staff. Doggie Shrink is by far the best facility! I love them!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Doggie Shrink and the entire team. My 2 boys go once or twice a week for daycare and stay for a week or more at a time when we travel. No matter how long they are there, I always know they are so loved and well cared for. Rudy went from being a frightened rescue to being social and happy. He loves going there so much. Sammy is a senior dog and turns into a puppy jumping and running when he sees he is there. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful place and would never think of sending them anywhere else

We were referred to Kim by another dog owner friend (shout out to Hugo!), once we told them about the fighting troubles we have between our two boxer pups. Our dogs are currently at The Doggie Shrink for some board & train. Kim knows her sh*t. She has an incredible passion for dogs ("there are no bad dogs") and that seems matched only by her understanding of their behavior and why they act and respond the way they do. This should be the key to solving any issue or just regular obedience training. We are still in the process with our dogs but I trust Kim implicitly. Behind the fences there seems to be a doggie paradise, with lots of room and friends to play with. Kim's own dogs are trained incredibly well, as we have been able to see in videos where they assist her in the training of my pups. We will come back and report more after we have more info and results but very impressed in the first few visits and boards, as well as Kim's availability to me to explain everything going on. Highly recommend.

We can’t thank Kim and her team enough for taking such good care of our sweet girl! We traveled in August and they sent us pictures and made sure she got all the love and care she needed. When I picked my baby up today she was so happy to see us but didn’t leave without giving kisses. We also bring Nala to day care and she’s super happy.We know our sweet Nala is in great hands!

Could not be happier with our daycare & boarding experience at Doggie Shrink! Kim is the best! The whole team is so loving & caring. I trust them completely & they always help me with advice when needed. They really are experts & advocates for the dogs. We had a great experience with the training/socialization PALS program when we started there & now we are in the PACS program so our dog can have fun on a regular basis. Most importantly, my dog & all the others I see there are always so happy. Our recent (first ever) boarding experience went to extremely well. So happy. Highly recommend!!!

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to share my experience with Kim Karlon the owner of Doggie Shrink.After much research finding the right breeder, we came home with a beautiful Havanese pup Alejandra. At 8 weeks she was adorable and sweet but soon there were signs of fear aggression. Having owned dogs my whole life I knew in my gut something was wrong. She was a baby, yet growled when she was picked up, and trembled profusely in certain situations. I knew this behavior was abnormal for a puppy this young.I reached out to the breeder and asked if he'd ever seen this behavior before and he told me it was completely normal. He said she was "very smart" and an "alpha female" so I needed to let her know she wasn't allowed to be in charge. His advice was to "scruff" the dog, yell no, and stare her down in this position until she diverted her eyes. I was very uncomfortable with this but he is a professional dog handler and well known breeder in NY, I made one gentle attempt and the dog was absolutely terrified. My instincts told me this was terrible advice and i needed to find a different solution.My vet recommended Kim. Undoubtedly she is the reason we were able to transform this poor pup! We went to the evaluation and after a few minutes of seeing the puppy she told us Alie was not an aggressive or "alpha" dog. She gave a more reasonable answer explaining that she was very likely dropped before we even got her. She was terrified of being picked up and additionally was not properly socialized. I was at a loss because we never dropped her, however when we picked up her from the breeder he explained how his rough and tumble 3yr old would wrestle with the litter and put the puppies under his arms and walk around with them. The story started to come together. He told me this was great socialization for the littler. How could a well known breeder give such bad advice??I felt relieved that our new family member would be ok the moment we started working with Kim. She analyzed Alie at length and walked us through every step. She demonstrated how she came to the conclusion and gave explicit directions on how to manage this puppy's fears and behaviors. I've met a few trainers in my life but since Kim is also a behavioralist, she goes beyond "training tips" and really understands the psyche of the dog in the the dynamic of the family. She was able to read our family's behaviors and clearly point out where our actions may hinder progress. She is honest about the time required to care for the dog, and details what needs to happen in order to get the desired behaviors that a dog should have in their new home.What struck me the most was not just Kim's technical knowledge, but her unrelenting support and dedication to keeping dog and family together. A truer animal advocate you will never find! If you are willing to put in the work, you will find her as a constant source of support, whether it's a phone call or a txt. I can only imagine how many dogs were saved because the owner was finally educated with accurate and actionable information, which apparently is not so easy to come by.Our 18 week old puppy is now thriving and we owe it all to Kim Karlon.From the bottom of my heart Kim, I thank you!!Leigh

Doggie Shrink is the BEST! My elderly dog is taken cared of 110%. I feel at peace knowing Jumble is in great hands when I board him. One time he didn't feel so good and Kim called me right away! She stayed with him all night to make sure he is OK. Amazing people!!!!

Doggie Shrink is the absolute best! I never take the time to write a review for anything. But this place deserves a huge shout out for their dedication, professionalism and sincere caring and love for your dog. It's not a cookie cutter doggy daycare. It's not a babysitting service like most places seem to be (I've never used one of the franchise establishments and never would). Kim and her staff go the extra mile to be unique. They train your dog to be an even better version of your furry family member. I trust them implicitly and if you're lucky enough to know Kim and her staff, you will too! Taking our dog to Kim was the best decision our family made for him. He is thriving and is so happy to have so many friends! He smiles ear to ear when I pick him up. Call Kim. Inquire. I LOVE Doggie Shrink! My puggle Gracie loves to stay and play! She has calmed down considerably and is much better behaved since we started 9 months ago. We have been taking our dog (an energetic two-year-old rescue) to Doggie Shrink for training, daycare, and boarding for several months now. Of all the places and people in the local dog care world we’ve interacted with, their staff have been the most knowledgable, experienced, loving, and reliable. Plenty of people love dogs but Kim and her staff get dogs, know dogs, respect dogs, and work with them according to their nature. That approach is very effective and has worked really well for us, but seems to be quite rare, unfortunately. The DS team love dogs and provide a gorgeous setting for them to play in but also know how to be firm and consistent. We highly recommend it!
