Loved this place and the staff helped me a lot with picking which fresh water fish to put in my tank. My king king perret is super friendly to my angel fish. Glad I came here and will definitely come again to get more fish soon!!

BEWARE!!! Went to store after loosing my tiny pea puffer. My pea puffer was an infant so was not entirely sure what they looked like mature. Yeah I have a 5 gallon tank and the stupid kid sold me a Green spotted puffer (as a pea puffer) that needs a 30 gallon tank! Very unprofessional here and apparently not educated enough or just trying to swindle people for their money and don’t care about the fish! I’m super mad because I have no clue what to do with a brackish puffer that needs a 30 gallon tank while this poor fish sits in my freshwater 5 gallon. Not to mention drive over 45 minutes thinking they had pea puffers and wasting gas! Outraged! I wouldn’t even score this place a one star but I have to give it something to give this review!

Always great to come here. They offer helpful and knowledgeable advice on how to care for your aquarium. Their prices can’t be beat and I drive 30 minutes, passing other shops, to get to theirs. I’d highly recommend. And they offer complimentary water testing. Can’t beat it.

I’ve been buying fish here for over a decade. They don’t have the best coral selection but they make up for it in the fish selection. Also all the tanks are medicated so you feel a bit more comfortable knowing you’re not bringing home any diseased fish. Also the lady who always helps me is super friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to see the new store

Been shopping in this place since I was a little boy with my parents and now have tanks of my own and always go here for fish and recommendations with “technical” problems. Only reason not a 5 star are some of the prices are a bit on the higher side, like everything else now a days, but the local big chain stores have same things cheaper. I always get my fish from here though. Super friendly staff and extremely knowledgable

Any question I've asked is always answered and I've never walked out of this location without a new slice of knowledge about giving my fishy friends the best life they can have. I have a great experience here. I love this place. The young guys working here are amazing. I always have bad encounters with one guy who just wants to make a buck. Other than that. These tanks are very well cared for, and the rest of the people here are happy to answer all of your questions.

High quality fish and variety of food and filter options, my only complains is seeing how they sell "fish" bowls knowing that no fish will live a long happy life in one of those, surviving ≠ thriving, depending on who you talk to they got good service but sometimes you can tell they just wanna sell without caring who these fish are going to, other than that, they been very helpful to me with more advanced questions but make sure you do your research before buying a fish!

Steer clear!! My 17 yr old son recently purchased a salt water aquarium here. He wanted to shop at this place and being a local business owner, I encouraged him to patronize local bricks and mortar even though it may be more expensive than big box pet stores. What a mistake!! They sold him a $300 set up and a $100 rock (which I was still ok with). Told him he needed to set it up and wait a few days before getting fish. He went back about a week later and they sold him two clownfish (Nemo) for $50 each. Two days later, one died. I went to the store today and explained the situation to the owner who basically told me I was beat. Told me we should have waited two months and that I should have put some other fish in there. Showed me his “notice” sign that was a faded white board which could barely be discerned (from in front of which he first moved another piece of paper) explaining my responsibilities. Then proceeded to explain some other nonsense about the aquarium which maybe he should have gone into depth about prior to selling the fish. Basically tried to lay it off on my kid instead of his sales woman that told my son he should be ok in a few days. Another person actually sold the fish to my son when he asked for them. Nothing really wrong with that, but maybe the owner should train his staff to ask questions before just selling them something that may not work, or in this case die. Basic customer assistance. Bottom line, owner acted like a childish, cracked out, d-bag and told me the best he would do is give me a $10 water test kit. I told him “no thank you, we won’t be coming back and I’ll be disputing my credit card charge”.On my way home, I stopped at Petco just to see their deal. Clownfish $19.99, Purple rock that my son bought for $100, $24.99. Do yourself a favor, find another aquarium store or just go to Petco. This clown doesn’t deserve your local patronage.Btw, the other fish is still alive as of today.

This place is amazing. Wonderful and amazing fish. The employees are the absolute best. They are friendly and super knowledgeable of all the different types of fish and the best way to take care of them. The fish are healthy and well taken care of. You can tell that fish are their passion! Kevin, Katie and the owner make you feel welcome and love to take the time to explain every question that might come up. You walk in with little knowledge and walk out with beautiful and unique fish and the confidence to care for them when you take them home. I will never buy fish from any other store! My family and I will always go to Ocean Aquarium!

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING! These people will sell you anything for a dollar. Went into the store do buy a fish and precisely asked them 5+ times if the tank size and conditions where suitable for the fish only to find out that this fish needs a 500+ gallon tank in adulthood while I only have a 65gal. I don’t want to return fish due to the very poor conditions the animals are kept in. I also have to note that the double bag we took the fish home in had a hole in it and the yellow water got all over my car while the fish had no air in the bag during the commute home.

I decided to make the 45 minuet trip to get some basic Tetras and some guppies for my 60 gallon a week ago since I am sick of buying from PetSmart where half of the fish in the tanks look dead/ sick. All of my fish from here are doing fantastic! The owner was very nice and helpful but also didn’t bother you and try to sell you every fish in the store. It was actually the day before they got new fish when I came in and still had a very large selection. I can’t wait to come back on a day they have new fish! This isn’t your average fish store; there were amazing displays and all of the fish were happy, healthy, and reasonably priced. I can’t wait to go back!

I always enjoy myself when I come here! It's probably the best aquarium store in the southern Jersey area - their fish are well cared for and they have a great variety with every other aquarium accessory you could need. The staff is always very helpful and informative. And if you have issues acclimating one of their fish into your tank they'll also allow you to bring them back so you don't have to re-home or >_> flush them <_< . I'm very grateful to have this store as an option as opposed to going and getting my fish at Petco/PetSmart ...which usually have dead fish all over their tanks T_T . <- the reason I established a quarantine tank. Thanks Ocean Aquarium! Save some pretty female guppies for meeeeee!

i went here about a month ago when my last betta from another store died so i could get a new fish and i got lots of help and information from the people working there which was very useful as a begginer fish owner 🕺🏻 and now everytime i need anything for my fish and african dwarf frogs i come here and i also spend a long time looking at all the fish which i love seeing. they have a great selection of really pretty and funny fish and very helpfull staff ! very cool place
