I've been coming here since I was a baby! I love the pharmacy department, I have PTSD and my memory isn't the greatest. Kevin retired but Mindy knows what shes doing and I appreciate her help! Wonderful store. My mother in law also worked here for YEARS!We get all of our cakes here too. Always have the one with pudding, bananas and strawberries!I'LL ADD SOME CAKE PHOTOS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS.The toppers and candles were sometimes purchased through Amazon and they came up with the cake idea from the topper and theme! 🎂 🎈 🥂

My wife and I were at Newton ShopRite today and we need to let you know that our cashier, Nikki was incredible. She was super friendly and super efficient! This store is absolutely AMAZING ! Super clean ! Everything is super well organized and the staff is super friendly and super knowledgeable. It has been years since I have been in such an amazing grocery store. To other chains, come here and take notes on how a fine grocery store should be run !

Much better than shop rites in Brooklyn. Got what I needed. Roses that were nicely priced. A chocolate black out cake that tasted DELISH. Both were gifts for my other daughter.

This is an excellent grocery store, very clean, never long lines, food is always fresh especially in the seafood department.I personally cannot comment on their meat department as I do not eat red meat however if it is a reflection of the rest of the store I am sure it is just as nice as the rest of their departments.This particular ShopRite also has a wine & spirits section that is separate from the main store if you decide to happen to want to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner or a few to put on a good eventful evening when throwing a dinner party for your guests.This is an excellent grocery store.

They always have everything. As many stores do not carry key holiday baking items, Shoprite has items like Mince Pie Filling and several gluten-free flours.

This shoprite is run super well. Employees are kind courteous helpful from outside handling carts to inside. Pharmacy people are excellent always helpful and courteous. Great Job!

Large store. Decent gluten free options. Attached liquor store is convenient. Always very crowded though and I hate having to have a quarter to get a cart. Who carries cash anymore? And prices are higher then Weis across the street. Diapers I picked up today were $28 at Weis vs $32 at Shoprite. I only stop in when I need something I can't find somewhere else.

Will try to keep this brief. After moving to this area 4 years later, I feel the need to bring this up, only because my uncomfortable experience in this store is still in occurrence.. this happens way too often, but for some reason, it's always that particular "cashier" at self check out.. she's older, blonde, curlyish hair, with overly heavy eyeliner... I notice every time i go to SCO, this employee, for some reason, always hovers around me but never really says anything.. she's obv watching me, whilst at the same time other shopper counterparts that are of an older or certain (yt) race do not get this excessive overly 'helpful' experience.. they get to check out in peace without being profiled... I've been there by myself, with my spouse, and with my friends, on different occasions... this employee always feels the need to be extra 'attentive', but it's clearly not bc of genuine concern/cservice for the shopper, but to analyze every move. When I was there with my two friends, we were doing instacart together and even the energy throughout the employees in the store before going to sco, was off.. also we could tell they had a guy 'organizing the bread shelf' and stood close enough to distinguish what we were doing yet not 'give himself away'... I've worked cs jobs and it's very obv when you have to watch someone..... I unfortunately still have to shop here every now and then, but I'd rather drive just a bit further out and do my shopping at Byram SR.. that lady makes me experience at this store distasteful, and I get doing your job, but there's a difference in that and monitoring one particular (profiling) shopper, esp. when one shops there often... You've seen me there before but still watch me as if I'm not capable of scanning items, and/or reading numbers on an onion and reciprocate that onto a POS... I hope this concern doesn't get overlooked. I actually used to work at a store where the owners of SR are clients of and all I have to do is call an old friend to make sure my voice goes straight to the source.. I don't want to ruffle feathers, but if this is what I have to do to get my peace of mind while doing some grocery shopping, then so be it... not bad for a 20 something y/o Hispanic guy, huh?....

Had a problem with digital coupons at self checkout. Women with dark long hair came over to help. Told her the situation and she turned around and walked away. No explanation. I did realize a few minutes later she was calling the front end manager. Is it really that hard to explain what was going on. We spend a lot of time and money at that store and deserve adequate customer service!

So today I called Shoprite to ask if they were still open due to a town power outage I was told yes they were up and running but when I asked how long the store was without power I was told “I don’t know”….I’m sorry but if you were there working you should know how long the store was without power….by you telling me I don’t know, I took my business to another supermarket….I should be able to know how long you were without power so I can decide weather I am going to shop your cold sections or not…it was just very rude of your customer service associate to have that kind of answer….maybe some more training in “customer service” is needed for your employees!!

This ShopRite is by far the worst one I’ve been to. You literally need to check the date on everything bc half the time the products are expired especially yogurts and meats. I live around the area so this location is the most convenient but I have to drive over 30 minutes to other ShopRites bc I just don’t trust this store. If I could give them 0 stars I would because this is absolutely ridiculous.

Brittany in the bakery department is the rudest human being I have ever come across. Shoprite, you need to fire that girl! I was telling a friend of mine how badly I was treated by her, and she said she received the exact same treatment by the same person! I will no longer shop at Shoprite. Stop and shop is my new grocery store now. Shame on you guys for keeping such a rude employee. You have to have had many, many complaints about her - there's no way you're hearing this for the first time!

I continue to be disrespected in this store. Today it was packed and the front end kid was sending me to courtesy to be checked out as I had literally one item , he was doing his job. I am positive that is what they were doing to keep the line moving.. The two girls back there were doing absolutely NOTHING atm and yet refused to check me out. I would say I was discriminated against as at this point as when the one had to service me previously pretty much threw the bag at me. I never complained as everyone has a bad i believe her name to be Cathy. The two of these girls appear to have a problem with me. Cathy and Emily. But i believe Cathy was the one said were not doing that here.. Well why then would the kid send me to you. But I said dont worry, I went to pharmacy were they politely checked me out..I have been shopping here 31 years much longer then u have been employed there. You probably need to get over whatever it is that bugs you about me. I probably pay one or more of your paychecks with what I spend in that store. Have some respect for the customers weather you like them or not. I am sure your employer is not paying you to be discriminating and disrespectful. With that said, stop hating and Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Always great. The employee's are always helpful. The deli is great you can speak with the person when you order. Other stores use computers to process an order and you not sure you get. Newton is great.

Solid grocery store. As with most Shoprite stores, they are best in price in a number of areas but high in others. Their strength is meat, eggs, ice cream, and deli. Weak spots price wise would be cold bottled tea, frozen lunches and dinners, and milk.This building is a bit older than other stores but is in general good condition and is clean.

This ShopRite is superb. It is one of the best ShopRites I have been to.It is very well organized.The management has the store looking clean and welcoming.The staff is very attentive and are eager to assist you in finding items.The produce we purchased was fresh and the cost was very competitive.The checkouts are both cashiers or self checkout to accommodate your preference.The parking lot was easy to maneuver into and off the highway and provided for plentiful parking spaces.

Great pharmacy!The Staff are excellent and are very helpful even though it is a very busy store.The head pharmacist really does Her best to make sure the pharmacy has the medicines in stock, minimizing delays due to having to order medications.It is a bit of a drive from Milford, Pa., but keeping products in stock makes it worth the drive.This location is a Good RX Gold pharmacy for those who need that designation and is a preferred pharmacy for Highmark Medicare Members as well.Overall this is a great Pharmacy and many people apparently feel that way based on the number of people who shop here!

As a restaurant owner, I buy chicken from the shoprite sometime . I usually encounter one or two boxes of chicken that go bad. I just throw them away. But today, out of ten boxes of chicken I opened, 4-5 boxes went bad. Can't tell which is good and which has gone bad. Had no choice but to return all . I'm so sorry about this, it's taking a lot of extra work for the customer service staff. But I was shocked and disappointed by the response of the manager John. He tried to blame the chicken spoiling on me leaving it in the car for too long. You know the checkout time on my receipt was 1:23. The first time I went back to the shoprite and tell the chicken had gone bad was 1:44. The chicken didn't stay in the car for more than 10 minutes. It's really unprofessional to pass the buck on the customer. .I'm not trying to cause trouble, but there is no choice. No one wants to waste an hour in the customer service if the chicken is fresh.

Nice store, clean. Produce was so-so. I was looking for peaches or nectarines, but they were bruised. The people were nice. The attendant out side was very nice and helpful with our 5 gallon bottle drop off. I didn't know the process. They have a nice prepared food section, seafood and bakery.

Good grocery store. Has wide selection and prices are reasonable. Checkout lines can be long at times but nothing excessive. Produce is fresh, dairy is well stocked and dates well out into the future.Only complaint is the end cap displays and in aisle displays. They tend to make store crowded and cause shopping carts to bottleneck during busy times.Last week I went through self checkout with 2 items and decided not to get a yellow plastic bag and just to carry the items ( 2 onions and a box of donuts $3.70 total). When I got into the parking lot a heard a voice behind me saying (Excuse Me, Excuse Me!). It was security. I waved my receipt - which I grabbed as an after thought- at him and all was good. He explained that he followed me since there was no paid sticker on items. ????? I went through Self Checkout, no cashier to place a sticker on items. No harm done, guard was professional and just doing his job.

This is a very friendly place to shop, been going here for years. Just wish they would not clutter the, already too narrow, aisles with seasonal sale items or other things they are trying to "push" sell. The shelves have been quite empty of late and the overall cleanliness of the store seems to be suffering as well.

Went to Shop-Rite of Newton today first time that I have been there in months. Terrible. Long wait on line because there weren't enough cashiers. I don't know if their air-conditioning was broke or turned down very low. The store was hot and the wait on line was extremely long. My ice cream was literally half melted when I got home, that's a first. Won't be going back anytime soon, realized how much I didn't miss this store.
