All I can say is EXCEPTIONAL"! Thank you to Joy and her staff at the Joy of Grooming! I brought my 2 boys in today and Joy was amazing with them she made them feel welcomed and less anxious about being at the groomer. My GSD is anxious near strangers, but Joy quickly made him feel at ease. My Tamaskan a very stubborn boy who I have been called to pick up mid-grooming from other groomers that jut gave up, was able to be fully groomed by Joy - she has amazing patience, and a true love of dogs. My boys look amazing - we will be returning to Joy of Grooming in a few months!!

Took our dog here the first time and she came out of her grooming looking better than ever. And she smelled good too. The service was very reasonable and Joy and her assistant took good care of our dog. It looks like even our dog enjoyed her company of Joy's dogs. This place is a keeper and will come back again for our dog grooming needs.

If I could add more stars I would! Exceptional service and care. I have taken my 6 month old Newfiedoodle to other places in the Newton area and I always was disappointed with either service, end result, or care. Joy and her staff were extremely nice and did an amazing job. I really loved the fact she doesn’t keep them locked up in a cage until you arrive. As we all know puppies are hyper and can easily have a bad experience and deter from wanting to go to the groomers. I will say they were all extremely patient, knowledgeable, and my puppy enjoyed being there which is all I can ask for.

My two dogs were so calm at arrival and departure. I was thrilled when I picked them up that they were free to roam in the grooming area instead of being in a cage. My dogs looked great. So pleased with Joy of Grooming. Great team of people, friendly and professional. Reasonably priced. Definitely going back.

Today my dog was groomed for the first time by Joy and I'm Very Disappointed at the service. My dog looks like she was there for 3h and Not even touched besides the wash . I have asked to clean her around the eyes and mouth and that wasn't done as well !!!!The back of her left leg looks like she didn't finish what she started and just left her like that !!!!!!If i knew that will be done like that i would groomed her myself. It was a total waste of the $$$$I don't recommend this groomer to anyone!!!

Took my six month old Cavapoo Charlie for first haircut! Brianna did an amazing job with him! I am so happy to have found Joy and Brianna! Most of all can’t believe he was good for them lol

Joy did an absolutely amazing job on my one year old corgipoo Maple!!! First of all the customer service was excellent, they are all very friendly and truly care about each and everyone of their pups. They even put a little bow and bandana on my baby when picking up for her first visit ever! I love that the dogs are able to be with one another rather than stuck in crates for hours. Maple was so happy to be there and it showed! When taken to her past groomers I would hear her barking and crying in the crate, but at Joy's she was having fun and was relaxed! Her haircut is phenomenal! She also smells amazing. I was worried because the other groomers I used to go to said my pup was too wiggly but joy handled my pup with so much care and ease. Definitely recommend, Maple will be back!

I brought my 2 babies here today. At 1st I have to admit I was nervous with the loose dogs that were the owners. I wasn't sure how my dogs would be. But I was quickly saw and learned they were just fine! The grooming job on both my babies was done great!! They smell amazing, look amazing! And I was even able to pick them up sooner than expected! Very reasonably priced as well! We will absolutely be back and I highly recommend!

The best way I can sum up my experience with the Joy of Grooming is “wow!” 10/10, I highly recommend. I’d give an extra star if I could.We are new to the area and have a young rough collie mix pup - Winston. It was his first time at the groomer and the team did an amazing job. He was SO handsome when I picked him up. He smelled amazing!! He’s a rambunctious boy who loves rolling around in the mud, grass, garden, leaves (pretty much anything, really)… I didn’t even know it was possible for him to smell so good. He was so soft and his fur felt so light. She also did a wonderful job shaping his back legs and rump area.Not only was the outcome wonderful, but their process is full of love. Winston was a bit nervous to go back into the grooming area as I left, but when I arrived to pick him up he was carefree as can be. I think he would’ve stayed there forever if I let him! When I picked him up, Joy noted some of the things that made him nervous and identified the ways she accommodated him. I was blown away at how much attention she paid to him.Joy went above and beyond - even offered information on how to calm my other dog (who she hadn’t even met yet!) so she could have an enjoyable grooming experience, as well.Joy does an amazing job and cares deeply about the animals. Everyone was so nice when Winston and I were there - they made us feel like they’d known us for years.Absolutely worth a visit. The Joy of Grooming is by far the best groomer we’ve had.

I was recommended by my neighbor and I am so glad she recommended Joy of grooming! I bought my Sheltie and a Aussie pom who both have thick beautiful hair. They were there less then 4 hours where the place I use to go to had them for most of the day! My pups looked and smelled awesome!! She is also very reasonable. I highly recommend Joy of grooming!

After I attempted to groom my labradoodle by myself and completely messed up everything they were able to take her the day I called and did an amazing job. With uneven and matted hair she was able to groom her perfectly without nicking her and didn’t have to shave her down to nothing. She came out looking amazing. This is the third groomer I have tried and by far the best.

Just had my Yorkie groomed yesterday, as usual she looks adorable and just like a puppy (regardless she's 16) Nonetheless Joy's is the one place my dog do not mind getting their nails snipped because she makes them feel comfortable and that's the key to having a dog let someone cut their nails. Just picked up my Samoyed from here, I can tell you I’ve tried allot of groomers in the area, these guys are the best and the owner joy is such a sweet heart. If your not familiar with Samoyed breed, I recommend googling it. These groomers are super familiar with samoyeds, and give phantom the time and effort he needs. I do not believe I’ll ever use another groomer. I highly recommend the joy of grooming, and they get 5 stars for not only reasonable price and courteous manners, but for breed specific grooming knowledge that make a difference.

Excellent grooming and pricing is quite affordable. Very friendly and I know when patronizing Joy of Grooming, I am supporting not only a small business, but a woman dedicated to Rescue. When I am in New Jersey, I won't take my dogs anywhere else. Very highly recommended!

My family and I just moved to Newton and were glad to come across this place! We have two Chihuahuas and they are generally very anxious with strangers and other dogs but they did so well here! The ladies were more than wonderful and my babies smell A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I usually bathe them at home but thought why not give them a bath here since I was already taking them in to cut their nails. Also, we got great advice on helping our babies be less anxious and overall advice. Thank you so much! Will be back regularly !!

I have been bringing my 14 year old toy poodle to joy for about four years now. She only goes on a leash ( which she’s had for ten years) when going to the vet/groomers. Yesterday I was told ( in a very condescending tone “ this leash is meant for Great Danes not small dogs) and I was handed a smaller leash. I was meant to feel as if I wasn’t taking care of my dog. My dog, who I love more than life itself! She needs to be aware of how she comes across to loving pet owners. Even the man who actually groomed my dog (who always does a fantastic job) said “ the leash isn’t too big”

Joy is great with my older dog. She offers great advice on how to care for dogs with skin conditions. My dog always look and smells great. And the dogs are not caged, they all socialize with each other and roam the place.

They did such an amazing job on my dog. Never felt so soft....and the lack of shedding was a definite bonus. Will be going back soon! She's a flat coated retriever / Chow mix so there is plenty of hair to deal with 😄

Just switched to Joy of grooming because of the nightmare experiences with petsmart and enough was enough. This place really does treat your animal like it's their own.Can't recommend them enough and they're cheaper then "pestmart" with monumentally better service and pet care.Our yorkie would be half dead coming out of petsmart, when we picked him up from Joy of grooming I felt like he almost wanted to stay.Support small business and do the right thing by your pet. 🐕🐕🐕🐩🐩🐩🐶🐶🐶

I would never take my baby gigi anywhere else My dog is my child I want the best for her... the joy of grooming is like home away from home joy the owner loves each and every dog like it’s her own!! Glad I found them gigi always comes home looking like she came out of a Hollywood salon ❤️
