Had to unfortunately put poor Josie to sleep, and as terrible as that will always be they were incredible. It was obvious right away how much the staff love animals. Especially the doctor that facilitated the service. They cared for her like she was their own and reassured our decision was correct. I am so so thankful for Dr Monique and the team! My poor duck got attacked by a fox and it took forever to find somewhere that would see her and help us ASAP. We were able to bring her in today and they treated her with such great care. I’m afraid if it weren’t for the team there, Peanut may not be with us anymore! Thank you for saving my baby!

My two dogs and I are extremely happy to finally find an animal hospital that cares more for their welfare than overcharging to make the extra buck! I highly recommend them to all who are in need of a good vet, staff and hospital. I will travel from PA anyday knowing my fur babies will be in good hands without breaking the bank! Thank God I finally found this hospital and thank you for being the best! :)

We are coming here for long time now and I can truly say I don’t think there’s better group of people to care for Your animals in the area then Animal hospital of Sussex county.Doctors are knowable and always take their time to listen and answer any questions.When I called in last week and talk to Doctor Ted about my dogs allergies and switching medication I was not forced to bring the dog for a second visit. He knew exactly what my dog needed and I could just pickup medication same day.Thank You for caring. I greatly appreciate You.

We just love them! Dr. Gabby was terrific! She diagnosed 1 of my 3 dogs just by looking at her, and she was CORRECT after blood work came back. Although I had my dog at a different vet 5 months prior for her annual visit and was told she was a pillar of health. She has had a thyroid issue and suffered for almost a year because we didn't know. We can't say enough good things about Animal Hospital of Sussex. None of my dogs are scared to go in there. Which says a lot! I highly recommend Animal Hospital of Sussex County.

Dr. Spinks took care of my daughter's cat during an emergency. He did a great free appointment that was wonderful. The cat was relaxed and treated calmly throughout the whole time. "Fear Free" is definitely the way all cats should have appointments. In the end he helped the cat get back to optimal health, happy and back home with his family.

My cat developed stones in her bladder and that can be deadly. I was blessed to find an amazing place. Every single person there was caring and professional right from the very beginning. They saved my cats life and performed an emergency operation.I want to thank all the members the receptionist, veterinary assistant, technicians and the doctors who perform the operation were so talented. I can’t thank them enough. Thank you!!

I cannot recommend AHSC, specifically Dr. Courtney, enough. We have been bringing both of your dogs there for years. When we had to, unexpectedly put our one dog down, the entire staff were supportive. Dr. Courtney and the tech came out to our home to allow our baby to cross the rainbow bridge. At no time did they rush us and they answered all of our questions. More recently, when our other dog started to have significant health issues, Dr. Courtney quickly found a possible explanation, referred us to a specialist who confirmed her suspicious, and has been working with us and the specialist to help our elder pup. The staff are always welcoming and helpful when we call. I highly recommend AHSC and Dr. Courtney!

Can’t say enough great things about every person at this office. Our dog has been thru a lot. Leg amputation, surgeries to remove tumors all over her body, stressful for her and nights of worry for us. But the care and guidance from the whole office really made us we were in the right place. From the first phone call the women at front desk were very attentive and helpful and extremely nice. Even when calling for questions sending pics to pass along, they were fast to get answers and called us back without hesitation. I think our girl has met every doctor and tech there and everyone was so kind. Dr. Spinks made us feel so comfortable in our first meeting. And he explained everything with care. Along with the exceptional work of him and Dr Courtney dealing with our dogs many surgeries that really extended our girls life and spirit. And also calmed our own anxiety. Dr. Courtney also took time to go over everything they had to do. And they listened ( main point- they listened!) to us and our concerns in such a stressful time. Even Dr. Walker was so gracious and wonderful when we had to have some stitches redone during a snowstorm. All the techs that looked after our girl went above and beyond. But also we really got to deal mainly with tech Aisling. Amazing to take so much time to go over all the tests and was honest about all pros and cons of recovery and again, listened to all our questions (especially when we had lots of acquaintances giving us advice) we would pose these questions to her and get real guidance. But most of all is that our dog is really happy to see the people there and when a dog loves ya, you know they are great people.

Dr Spinks is a gift from the Universe! we had an emergency to remove Alice’s cancer infested right front leg, which got worse when attempting to save it from a different location. Upon meeting the Dr., we found him to be incredibly kind, positive and encouraging, a ray of sunshine that we incredibly needed by that point. He quickly set up the surgery appointment. 3 weeks later she is healing beautifully and her spirit is coming back,  Thank you Dr. Spinks and staff, we are so grateful to have found you.

Been our pets vet for years, would trust our pets with nobody else. Both our cats, the older Babygirl and the younger Lucy, have always received great, loving, care from both the Vet Techs and the Dr's. Dr Spinks has staffed his clinic with the most loving and caring vets that we've ever used.4/5/23 - recently we lost our beloved pet Babygirl, at 18 yrs old, and I cannot express how wonderful everyone at AHofSC were in our time of grief. The compassion they exhibited was truly genuine, one tech even fighting back tears, made us know we were not alone. This hospital, and the entire staff, honestly care for their patients as if they were their own.

We have 3 dogs and one cat. The doctors and staff at Animal Hospital of Sussex County have treated minor conditions quickly as well as more serious complicated ones requiring ongoing treatment. Before a friend suggested Animal Hospital of Sussex County, we had tried several local veterinarians when we moved to this area, some with near catastrophic results. We are very picky about veterinarians and recommend Animal Hospital of Sussex for both cats and dogs.

I'm very pleased with the service my dog and I received! My lab+shepherd mix Buddie gets very scared and nervous around doctors, starts whining, barking, and paces around a lot.He's not a small guy, so it becomes a problem when he's anxious, and I was worried this would be an issue for him to get treated. The doctor and all the staff made sure he's comfortable. They were exceptionally patient with him and took great care of my big boy.It was also super easy to get an appointment the next day, I believe there was even an opening that same day I called, but I couldn't make it. Our regular vet was booked up a couple of weeks in advance, so that wasn't an option.We will definitely be coming back here.

The BEST veterinary services you will find... anywhere! We have been visiting this practice since 2015 and are HIGHLY satisfied. When we got our first mini pig, we were looking for a vet who had related experience. Animal Hospital of Sussex County (Dr. Ted Spinks in particular) came highly recommended from a number of sources.Dr. Spinks and the entire staff are compassionate, caring, and highly knowledgeable. Their smiling faces are a welcome sight every time we visit with our pigs. With over 32 years of experience in veterinary medicine, we feel comfortable and confident placing the health and well being of our pigs in the hands of Dr. Spinks, and the staff. When one of our mini pigs was bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme Disease, she became very ill, and we were afraid we might lose her. An emergency visit to see Dr. Spinks resulted in an early enough diagnosis to save her life. He charted a course of treatment that resulted in her recovering.We are thankful for the services of Animal Hospital of Sussex County, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone seeking quality veterinary care.

This office just saved and put inRemission my chocolate labs life with their expert knowledge and kindness. I have 4 labs each one taken care of by Ted Spinks. I have been a client for about 11 years and the front desk staff are very welcoming.. the first faces of the hospital. The medical assistants and very capable and express concern about your concerns. Every vet i have seen there over the years has been wonderful and compassionate, caring doctors. It's a 45 minute ride for me but worth it! They were especially wonderful during my beloved Ninja's last months.
