Whole Foods in Newark offers the convenience of free underground parking, making it a breeze to shop for high-quality groceries. While I've visited several times without incident, there was one unfortunate encounter where a staff member made inappropriate remarks about my ability to afford the items I was purchasing. As a 20-year-old female, this experience left me feeling disappointed and disheartened. Despite this isolated incident, I still appreciate the variety and quality of products at Whole Foods but hope for more respectful interactions in the future.

This *WholeFoods is always well maintained and clean, with a lot of fresh healthy options to choose from daily. Their Bakery department is flawless, but the customer service could be better and more polite. Also, there were no bags available for us to check out with, ....other than a super OVERPRICED Shopping bag 🛍

UPDATED VISIT... This cold beverage display case in beautiful. The colors draw your attention from a distance and I had to go to take a look. I can tell whoever does this takes great pride in their work. Each bottle/can was facing perfectly like little soldiers. The gentleman in the photo is the master behind the beverage case !! 😁😁🏆🏆 Original post: Deserving more than 5 stars is the Bakery Department !! Drita & Maria are outstanding, along with the rest of the staff, deserve recognition for the gorgeous cakes, cupcakes, pastries presented for you to enjoy. Admiring the bakery case for a bit as I couldn't decide what to get. The pride that Drita has in her department and Maria who also spoke with such delight about all the items in the case was a joy to see. Interactions with the people who make these is one of the reasons I visit Whole Foods. Customers are like family, they care about you, answer your questions and will put you in the right direction regarding choices. There should be awards given and these ladies deserve it !

surprisingly big whole foods! i have been to the whole foods in vauxhall, which is a pretty standard whole foods. however, the building space is very tall and large here!a little disappointing their amazon drop-off kiosk wasn't working, so i had to wait in line for customer service a bit, but the workers were very swift.the biggest surprise was their dining area! i commute to newark for classes and wasn't aware that the store is attached to an indoor plaza for other local shops. absolutely a beautiful sight on a nice sunny day! will definitely explore the area again soon.

I bought red onions from Whole Foods and couldn't get a refund for their rotten onions. This is the second time I had to bring back their onions. They sell rotten food to their customers and won't give you your money back.

I want to give a huge thanks to the Bakery! I called last minute for a gender reveal cake and they were able to make it happen for me and my family! I am extremely grateful and thankful for all of the kind bakery members!

Very disappointed with the customer service at Whole Foods, I placed the order online through Amazon, and when the order was out for delivery they informed me that they did not have the product, the most important thing in the order. rubbish service for not calling and asking if I could replace the product. I called the Whole Foods Newark establishment, the attendant simply hung up on me and didn't solve anything.And my advice is: Never order whole foods from Amazon, unfortunately they don't prioritize ordering through Amazon.POOR SERVICE!

Unhappy with the Prime Pickup service. Which says a lot about the management & the staff here. I have been charged more than the tagged price on chicken, I’ve been humiliated with 2 pieces of mushroom over an order of half a pound, I’ve had experience with rude & illogical behavior in the meat department (in person). I am happy when I am shopping in person here. But when it comes to staff interaction & the pickup service, standards are below par of the prices paid. Needs work.

I come to this whole Foods Market very regularly( 633 Broad St,Newark NJ). On Tuesday, Feb 13,3024 I went to buy some groceries and I requested to buy a pound of sliced white American cheese at 08:40 pm. I was told by the dairy staff and the night manager that I was late and they will not sell me the cheese because all the machines were already cleaned. They said that I should just complain to the store manager the next day .I found this very unprofessional. Maybe they should post the closing time for all store departments. And train their staff on how to address clients. The service quality is going down!!

I was at the Wholefoods Newark location last evening. I live near the area and I very rarely I few welcome coming in the store. Last night I had two returns to process and the customer service lady was cold as a piece of marble. I’m a Prime member (returned an Amazon item and another one purchased at that store). The Amazon item was ok but the other item purchased she wasn’t able to find using my Prime membership account. Because of her coldness I just told her to toss the item as I had to shop in that location. I also notice local clients who are shopping in the store not really friendly. I guess the city of Newark is trying to improve the area, looks a lot better compared to 20 years ago, but the old days prejudice mentality still the same.

Such an amazing environment, every aisle smells incredible, their organic coffee was a blast. Customer service is very friendly, but still what got surprised was how it smells delicious in there, it is indeed Whole Foods.

Whole Foods gave me a great experience and the personal items section, and the produce section all fruits and veggies were fresh and appetizing, the poultry section had a variety of meats the deli section had a variety of meats that look healthy and fresh, the bakery section items look so advertising, the only suggestion I have is that they look at the pricing of the items in the store for the particular area that they are in so that more of the citizens from all walks of life in the community. Also they should look at pricing and have more Whole Food pricing that every level of Citizen life in Newark New Jersey can afford to shop healthy at the Whole Foods Market. I also loved the 90-minute free parking the access to elevators, and it is handicap accessible, I also like the state of the art self-checkout and how pleasant all staff was pleasant and willing to train you on the operation of the equipment. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the downtown area and I would recommend to the citizens of the community to check out the Whole Foods downtown Newark New Jersey.

I planned on going to the whole foods buffet and I did. I was disappointed by the fact that I could not use the bathroom because I did not buy something first. They do not give the customer the benefit of the doubt.After the bathroom, I went to the buffet and they did not have a decent variety. The jerk chicken was spiced correctly and it was decent. They did not have too many options after that item.I would suggest that they add variety and give the customer the benefit of the doubt over the bathroom.

A more tidy, compact version of the typical suburban store. Everything you need from fruits and veggies to cheeses and meats, frozen foods and baked goods. The packaged foods and personal care items round out the selection in the center of the store. Sorry, no alcoholic beverages sold here. But the Hahne atrium at one of the store exits is a beautiful space with public seating to take a break. A wine store across from the Whole Foods probably has the libations the party animals won't find here. Oh and 90-minute free parking is included in the garage for purchases greater than $10.

It's too expensive. I purchased 2 apples and some grapes and apent ten dollars. The ambrosia apples are delicious, and the grapes were nasty.

The chocolate milk is to die for, so fresh! It’s also so awesome that it comes in a glass bottle(that you can return /recycle at the store(Whole Foods) for a refund of three dollars)! OR KEEP IT, as it’s a cool looking glass bottle that you could use for cold brew tea or coffee, any drink mix(crystal light, kool aide) or even just for filtered water!

I really like this market . So many food variety that I can choose and pick. And I bought this olive sourdough there just yummy . I eat that every morning for my breakfast . I bought three big bags of food , carried to take a bus . The only thing is the route I have to take with #1 bus are not safe street . So I might have to figure out next time how I can get there safely .

The place SUCKS nothing in stock, rude workers, no parking. There's no guidance on where to park. Checked the website and everything. So next time you pay $11 to park and shop here think again!
