The store has everything you could possibly need and Mark's knowledge and helpfulness are unmatched. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

The only place to go for your pet needs. Mark and his team are the best. My pup’s grooming is always perfect and I know he’s well taken care of as Mark treats all the pets as they were his own. Someone is always cleaning, feeding the animals and willing to assist when needed. Nice selection of fish, reptiles, birds, rabbits and other animals. Look no further.. this is the best pet shop around.

I’ve rescue two Yorkies and took them today to get groomed, they did a magnificent job. I also had a few questions about recommendations on food and supply's for my fur baby’s and they guided me. Had and amazing experience! Lola and Lexi where extremely happy.

Your one stop shop for pet supplies in Newark. The workers there are so accommodating when it comes to how I want my Pomeranians groomed. Very knowledgeable staff and the owner is great!! They always put adorable ties on the boys and a bow and the girls!!

I took my two doodles here for grooming last week. I’m new to the area and just picked the first place available. They are great at answering the phone, the pricing was fair, and everyone there is friendly. My goldendoodle was starting to get tangled and may have has some early-stage matting, but they managed it without complaints. They also called when the dogs were ready for pickup. There were a few cons, though. The hair cut is definitely not even, with one longer tuft of hair every 4” or so. There also wasn’t any available parking nearby, which made dropping off and picking up difficult as the area has mostly narrow one-way roads. Most of the employees only spoke Spanish, and I can speak enough to get by but had difficulty communicating what I wanted with the hair cut. The cashier and the groomer both spoke English, but the groomer struggled to understand specific descriptive words for what kind of cut I wanted. Overall I’m not impressed or dissatisfied, but I will probably look around for another place for next time.

Filthy conditions with mistreated animals. The animal room towards the back smells like urine with dust and grime everywhere.Some mice were pregnant but still living in overcrowded, disgusting tanks with mixed sexes of all ages. One of the rats was clearly pregnant but when I asked the staff they hadn't a clue, nor did they care. I got a quick "no" when I asked to handle her. The rats were also being fed a bird seed mix which is too small for them to eat and guarantees poor nutrition.The bird cages were stacked up the wall. There were puppies and rabbits in dog crates on the floor among the dust, though the dogs got a lot of attention from other shoppers.I would not recommend giving this pet store any money. Please do not shop here or even 'rescue' an animal by buying it because that will just boost their sales.

Well for starters, I wasn't going to come here with my family to buy the rabbit. Things happened for a reason I guess & we ended up buying a lionhead mix to company our 1yr old rabbit Rosita. My two only concerns with this pet shop is that they need more staff members who has the knowledge to identify the sex of animals (including rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, etc.) Also, they need to have numerous charts that shows how the animal private parts look instead of having US CUSTOMERS WASTE OUR TIME playing a guessing game on which gender is this, looking on wikihow to identify rabbit private parts or making themselves look clueless and insecure of what they doing in their job. Second reason is how they put newspapers as a source of bedding for the rabbits, guinea pig, ferret and cats. That is NOT good for their paws and living conditions. Other than that, me, my family and Rosita love our new edition to the family.

I heard about this pet shop from a friend, and when I came and spoke to the employees it was clear that the owner really takes pride in animal well being. I was hoping to get a puppy but they are against animal cruelty and I can’t be mad at that. I ended up buying some treats for my dog, pleasant surprise and great pricing!! Cookie was mad that it’s not a real pizza 🤣

Everyone is nice place is clean and well stocked. I only go for the fish but I do check out all of the animals. Cages are clean animals seem happy. People are in and out dropping off and picking up their dogs for grooming leaving with smiles. I have no complaints.

Buyer Beware. I went there to buy my first Bunny. I truly believed the employee Bruno was trying to be helpful gathering items I would need for my new pet. Aside from really trying to push that I spend more on a bigger cage that I am thankful now I didn't get, I thought he had been genuine. Now my problem arose when I got home & saw the bunny didn't want to drink from the water bottle, I was told I needed. The bunny would only drink from a bowl of water. I tried to exchange the bottle for more rabbit food and was told I couldn't because of a small cardboard flap that was missing from the packaging, and it couldn't be resold. I told Bruno I would have never purchased this bottle if he (the expert) had not told me it was needed, and Bruno shrugged his shoulders. I have no other animals and they have an entire store of them that could have used this bottle. So, for $6.99 Bruno chose to decline my credit and now I feel so offended that I waited 15-20 minutes of my lunch waiting for him to come back from break to say no to me that I no longer want to purchase anything from this store. So, if you need anything for your pet go somewhere where they won't give you a problem returning things that they suggested, and you really don't need. It's sad because the ladies that work there are lovely and I would have spent more money over time making future purchases but now I won't give them a cent more of my money.

Best place to go!! I have a 1y old Shitzu who is very scared of water and grooming in general. Since the first time a made very clear that he is very scared to the point that he doesn’t want to let go of me and start to shake. Everyone was very friendly, had patience and made me feel very comfortable on letting my baby there. Every time e go get my baby he is happy, chill, handsome and smell like a baby.Thank you to all the workers for their amazing service.

My family and I decided to buy a bunny rabbit. The staff was phenomenal. The sales woman was very patient with us and explain to us in detail what we need to do to take care of the bunny rabbit. My family and I were very happy with the service and the way they treated us. Highly recommend them for all of your pet needs.

I am VERY picky about where I take my Teacup Yorkie to be groomed. I took a chance and took her to Ironbound Pet Shop and now she has been going there for years. Everyone raves about how good she looks and smells when I pick her up. About a year ago I found 2 pictures of how I wanted my dog cut which was not a standard cut by any means. I explained what I wanted and they nailed it!! She looked even better than the pics. She still has that cut til this day. The staff are very friendly, helpful and they provide great customer service. I don’t see myself ever taking her anywhere else.

Please don’t waste your time or money! This place has no compassion for customers or the pets that they sell. We purchased an animal from this store and 4 days letter the poor little creature died. 😢 It was determined by a veterinarian that the animal had been sick for quite some time. When we tried speaking to the manager/owner, he said they can’t offer a refund or exchange because if they do so, they will never make any money. When I told him that other stores offer refunds or exchanges within 14 days for certain pets, he told us that there are many other stores that we can get pets from. This is the worst pet store that I’ve ever been to. We lost our precious new pet and and the manager didn’t even display an ounce of empathy. I give this place one star because there isn’t an option to give it 0 stars.

My boyfriend and I visited this store over the weekend just to look around and left with Gloster Canary we named Pishoo- short for Pistachio and his bowl cut hair. Staff was absolutely amazing answering endless questions from us and patient while we were all over the store like misbehaved kids:) we could tell the staff really love what they do and could sense their carrying nature for pet store residents. Bruno -the person who was helping us he was knowledgeable about every pet we asked about and the other guy who was taking care of the birds in the back room who told us so much about a brand new parrots they just received looked so excited to talk about birds and we were happy to listen and even the store was officially closed we never felt rushed. I spoke with Mark -the owner of this store this morning who was equally amazing and told me more about this business as a new owner. I will absolutely support this business. WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD and thank you again!

This store I’ve been going to for months and this is the best pet store I’ve been to. Its a little small but the services are amazing for both English and Hispanic needs. The prices are no where near crazy and the quality of the products are just what one would need. Find out what you want and need from a pet store and ask here. They got you!
