Fantastic weekend camping! The site on the lake was beautiful. The staff were so friendly. The grounds were well kept and there was so much to do! The bathhouse was so clean. Can’t say enough good things. We can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been here my whole life and I still never get bored!!! I do miss the 400 club because some other camp was blasting music and the attendees thought it was the whole 400 section. But it wasn’t, so they all got blamed and left in anger… now there are only a few people there :(. I miss the old pinball machine, because it broke. I hope they find the same one!! I love the bingo, hayrides, lake, and events that happen on July 4th and Halloween! My name is Beau and I am a friend of the attendees. Also I am moving to PA so I can come almost all summer!!!!!!Nearby activities: Lake, pool, bingo, horseshoe throwing, playground, supply’s and games are in front office, bonfires, fishing contests, parades!!

My family started camping at Timberline in 1968. We moved to New Gretna in 1971 because my parents loved our visits to Timberline. my grandparents kept there site until my grandfather passed away in 1991. I've taken my grandchildren there many times and always A+. I absolutely will go again but not during the week. No activities at all, not even a Hayride(my favorite growing up). I totally understand why by the explanation given to me. Just suggest people with children go on the weekend. Adults, great place all Summer long 😎🌞❤

Wanted to share a great review of Timberline Lake Camping Resort. This was our first time there. This is a sandy campground. My son is a wheelchair user and his chair did really well in the sand. My husband even took it off roading on the paths between the lake and through the woods. It is an absolutely beautiful, mostly seasonal site campground. Everyone was super kind and welcoming to our family. I don't think I've ever met a group of nicer, friendly and outgoing people. The office staff were wonderful. From an accessibility standpoint, the campground was easy to navigate and there was handicapped parking at the lake. We did not acess the pool area so I can't speak of that. The only true disappointment is that the rec hall is not acessible. This is very disappointing for a disabled child because he would not have been able to participate in activities. This wasn't a concern this trip as we had our own plans and activities. But it would have been really disappointing to miss out on something he wanted to do because he couldn't get into the a frame. A ramp would be a great addition. Everyone can enjoy an acessible entrance, but not everyone can enjoy a non acessible entrance. Overall, we had a fun weekend!

2nd summer at Timberline Lake! Kathy is always so friendly and helpful when booking our reservations. We love our home away from home! There is plenty to do: lake, kayaking, fishing, pool, basketball court, playground, and trails. We like to do day trips when we stay here, too!Highly recommend Timberline Lake Campground.Nearby activities: Pool, Playground, Lake, Fishing, Kayaking, TrailsSafety: Cabins lock and you need a passcode to enter with your vehicle.Walkability: Easy access to walk to lake, pool, showers

This is a really beautiful campground. The staff was very friendly, especially Jackie who we had a nice little chat with. The grounds are clean and well kept, the pool is really beautiful but the lake is spectacular! Natural beauty everywhere. Lord of lizards, toads and pitcher plants! Lots of people in campers but we were In A tent-spot was great. I would definitely visit again. The pine barrens are a very special place.

We were there a week ago and absolutely loved it. The pool is well maintained and the lake is gorgeous. The office staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The site we had was a large site with full hook ups. My son was able to come and bring his tent on our site (301) with a charge of 10.00 pp per night I believe. We loved it so much we booked the same site for next year.Usually when you go to a campground when it is mostly seasonals, they usually don't bother with the transients. Not the case here. They were also very welcoming.I wish I could talk my husband into becoming a seasonal there. (I am sure there is a big waiting list!!)

We had an absolute great time! All campers here were very friendly and welcoming! First camping experience where the owner wasn't only around but engaging and enjoying with all the campers! She is both great with the kids from toddlers to teenagers! ( My teen being her first trip and she loved ) scenery with the lake is calming. The pool was clean and fun, we got to enjoy a nice made lunch for a beyond reasonable price! Having the lake is a great add on and kept us more than busy all weekend!! Saturday nights DJ party on the beach was nothing short of a blast! We will definitely be back and plan way ahead as now we can see why this is always a booked place! The only con which isn't even the campground fault there is no T-Mobile service bc there's no tower near by but again few seasonals were quick to offer their phones if we needed a call. Which we made to those who needed to know back home and then honestly it was a extra break from reality for the weekend!

Timberline Lake is a gem within NJ! It was a first time experience for us as a family. My son has special needs and we weren't sure what to expect. Kathy in the office was more than helpful with our stay! She is an asset to the campground. We enjoyed the lake in the morning, the pool in the afternoon and smores by the campfire in the evening. Our cabin was perfect - had a toilet/shower, AC and TV - which is helpful for both adults/child.We were here Sun-Tues and the grounds are very quiet, campers are friendly and respectful. If you are contemplating a visit, book here you won't regret it. We were told themed nights on weekends, but we enjoyed the simplicity of the Sun-Tues stay. Our only regret - we booked only 2 nights! We will be back in 2023!!

This was my first trip to this campground, our spot was large pull through. I have to say this park is very clean, I had no issues with my visit. We even booked the same spot for next year I liked it so much. The pool, and lake are great places to swim, we visited the weekend after Independence Day, and it was not crowded at all, and very quiet at night. I think the have the right amenities to keep one entertained and plenty of places to relax.

Campground is expensive and the new owners are not very friendly. Does have a nice lake and large field to play in. Convenient to area attractions and stores and restaurants. Try Patio - pretty good food and service - eat in or take out.

I love this place. . I was never a camper until Covid hit. Been a seasonal camper now for three years and wouldn’t have it anything other way. The activities the crafts the bingo the hayrides are all great family fun. There is not only a pool but a beautiful sand beach and stocked fishing pond and a dog beach. The employees are always helpful and so are the owners.Only 30 minutes from AC casinos and the Steel Pier

Clean, attractive, with good facilities for both RVs and camp sites. The coastal flies, however, were so bad that it was impossible to sit still without long pants, long sleeves, and a hat. The prices are a little higher than average for private camp grounds near the ocean, but keeping quickly pace with inflation. I was glad I stayed but will probably try a new campground next season.

Loved our recent camping experience. Went for the 4th of July weekend and there was lots to do. The live band one night on the beach was great! Great music and so much fun. The pool was nice and surprisingly not over crowded, even for a holiday weekend. Lake is beautiful too for swimming and there’s kayak rentals as well. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Awesome campground for all ages. This was the 2nd summer my family spent at Timberline and can honestly not say anything negative. The staff treated us like family and had a great experience with all the other campers. The Lake is beautiful and and the pool is very clean and refreshing. Wouldn't want to spend our summer anywhere else. We already booked for next year. Can't wait! Thanks Timberline!

Amazing place to spend your summer days. My family and I spent 2 months here this summer and had a great time. Such a great time that we already booked again for next summer. The staff were awesome and made us feel like family as soon as we arrived. The campground was super clean and the beach and pool were very well maintained. I would without a doubt recommend this campground to anyone and everyone. Thanks Timberline for a great summer!

Just stayed at timberline for the first time about a week and a half ago we have camped all over nj and in pa and this is probably the best campground we have been to. There were plenty of things to do even on a week day the campgrounds are beautiful and best of all the owners especially Tom and the rest of his staff went above and beyond for our family and the deluxe cabin is absolutely gorgeous and the prices are outstanding. We will be back and we recommend this campground to everyone. Thank you again Tom we really appreciate you see you again soon. Also the restrooms were unbelievably clean as was the pool and the lake was beautiful and the game room was great as well as the basketball courts just had to add that

This is a great place. Affordable, friendly with lots to do. We have a week stay and I couldn't be happier. The kids are busy, dog is happy and my husband can fish. The pool is great as well as the lake swimming. Definitely will be returning next year!!

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and by far is one of the nicest campgrounds in the area. The owner and everyone that works there is so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again next year!!

We had our first stay at Timberline this weekend and we loved it! We had a lake front site so we were able to kayak and paddle board all weekend right from our site. The lake was beautiful and the beach area was fun for the kids. I was really impressed by the pool there was a area for real little kids that was roped off from the big pool that was 1 1/2 feet deep and also an area that was 3 foot deep but also a deep end. The staff was pleasant and helpful from the front desk girls to Don who stopper by our site to make sure all was good and give us some info. The camp ground was laid back. No golf carts no problem as all was easily walked to. I would highly recc. A stay here. We look forward to going back!

Great place to camp, right on the lake with swimming and kayak rentals. Lots of shady sites, easy to get a large RV into. Everyone there is super friendly, especially in the office. They have a little store and arcade too. Tons of stuff for the kids to do; arts and crafts, fishing tournaments, hayrides, bike parade on July 4th, & more. Bathrooms and showers very clean. All around great place to camp. Definitely our happy place!

This campground is crowded it is not handicap person friendly at all. My mother and my self had a horrible time showering, Because they did not have handicap showers or bars very tiny bathrooms in the front where we stayed. I wanted to be near a bathroom, that had handicap stalls, but they where all taken by the whole season campers. So we would have had to go all the way to the back of the campground in order to go to the bathroom. So we made due with what we had. The service was great although the owners should spend more monies redoing bathrooms.

Our first time camping here, tricky finding site but then had personal escort, before getting to lost, by campsite (owner? ) on his golf cart. Very accommodating. Nice, nice people camping here and running it. Quiet, well mannered and friendly. Clean! Clam bake weekend was awesome!

Great spot, dog friendly, very clean, awesome pool. Just don't go in the middle of July during a heat wave. 11/10 would go again, just not during melty weather.
