I have been boarding my horse (a big draft mix named Elton) here at High Point for several months, and have had a great experience. Now under new management, the facility needs some TLC, but Colleen, Bridget, and Co. take amazing care of the horses and are gradually working to get things fixed up. Elton has a huge comfy stall, gets lots of turnout in spacious grassy fields, is well fed with hay & grain, enjoys bath time in the indoor wash stall, and is clearly very content. We LOVE the acres upon acres of trails and hay fields to roam in—this property is very special, and I couldn’t ask for a more beautiful and peaceful place to ride. The indoor arena’s footing has seen better days, but it’s so wonderful to have a space to train, especially when the weather is bad. My son has also attended horse camp here and had a great time, and though I haven’t personally taken lessons, from what I’ve observed Bridget does a fantastic job instructing kids and adults alike. This is not a show barn, but I would highly recommend High Point Equestrian Center for casual riding students and for boarders like myself who aren’t interested in showing, but want a safe and caring boarding facility with ample pasture and space to ride indoors & out! I would love nothing more than to see this area support the family behind HPEC as they work to bring it back from hard times.

Instructor is great he teaches at your level and explain step by step what to expect. It was my first time and I learned a lot and very fun too.

Awful experience. Stopped to inquire about boarding our horse and owner treated us like we were beneath him. His words “write down your number and I’ll try to get back to you.” We’d never board our horse at a facility like this.
