Cute little campground in partial woods and open space. Great views of small lake and cows in adjacent field. Plenty of sites with activities for kids with beautiful pool and goofy Golf course. Fishing in small lake and large pavilion and cute store with amenities shirts and toys. Short walking trail to Monroeville Winery, a must do if you’re camping there!

This was a great campground close to home for a weekend trip with the grandkids(ages 6-12). They were asking to stay longer. Lots to keep them busy…pool, fishing, mini golf, tennis, basketball and kids axe throwing hosted by the activity director! Staff was friendly. Bath House was clean. Grandkids want to go back again. Great bang for the buck. Cabin was small, but was perfect for a short trip. Cabin was very clean.

I do not leave reviews, I don't think they do anything but in this case, I hope it does, or at least get the word out. I used to like old cedar, it just feels like a family campground, not corporate run or anything, a nice campground to just hang, fish, they have a nice pool, but as of today the owner, who I have never met before is not a nice guy at all. Very very disrespectful towards my family and I, and he is especially disrespectful to woman. The owner accused us of ruining a tree that was already damaged before we got there, I will never ever go to Old Cedar again, I know this review probably will not do anything, I found out the owner doesn't even look at the reviews, his staff does. Anyways I have been camping all of my life and this was the worst experience I have ever had. I just want to warn people, because this is not right at all, there is no reason to disrespect someone like the owner did to my family today. I understand that people have bad days, but this honestly felt like an attack. He didn't even want to have a dialogue, but I'm finding out more and more that this guy treats his staff horrible as well, very unprofessional, and it really is horrible that someone like him would be in charge. It's a shame because we do like this campground but unfortunately his actions just ruined it.

The ladies of the staff are very polite and helpful, there is this maintenance guy I believe that lives in the campground that drives a white truck that is very ignorant to kids and just has a very sour attitude about him. He reminds me of an old drunk . Hopefully he learns to be more polite and to treat guests children a little better because that alone makes me not want to come back.Walkability: Winery not far at all.

Nice campground. Quiet, clean but No employees..... store was not open all weekend. We had a balance due but couldn't pay it till Sat night when a very nice woman came around to collect it.pool was closed for the season. Mini golf shuffle board etc couldn't be used because the store was closed.... nice winery, brewery and distilleries in the area. Memorable weekend because a squirrel fell out of the tree and almost hit me... no one's fault certainly not the campground ... just memorable. The squirrel shook it off after a while and ran away after looking at me as if to say " sorry I almost killed you". 😅

I was originally a bit apprehensive reading some of the reviews especially in regards to the rules. We had no problems once we were there and had an overall pleasant experience with staff. We had a few people come and go during our trip and they only charged us they days they were there and made sure they had a place to park. The fishing pond provided a good source of entertainment and we were able to catch a good amount of fish. Sites were a bit small but we felt we had plenty of room while sitting around our fire at night. The only thing I can suggest to staff is that the pool entrance/exit doesn't really make sense. We weren't able to understand why you were only supposed to exit from the one side, the side that is further away from the campground. Also a sign pointing to the sign-in sheet would be nice. We didn't know you had to sign in at first luckily the pool monitor was nice enough to sign us in so we didn't have to get out of the pool. The min golf course is for sure out dated but it's a free amenity so really no complaints there either. Overall we had a good time and will likely be back.

It was our first time and Old Cedar and we had a great time! (Two adults, two kids, two dogs). We stayed lakefront and the site was spacious enough and wooded, which helped with privacy. There are some sites that face the cow pasture if you want an interesting view but there are no trees/shade. It was a bit rainy this weekend but thankfully the camp’s wi-fi was strong and we were able to stream movies at our site. Mr. Softee rolls thru on Saturday nights. The staff was very friendly, especially Matt the owner. Everyone we met was nice and respectful. You can walk to Elephant Swamp Trail for a nice hike thru the woods, and you can walk to Monroeville Winery directly from the campground. It’s a quiet campground but it has everything you need for a relaxing weekend. We’ll be back!

Staff was friendly; just be prepared for semi/weekend and very permanent residents scattered throughout. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but not common where we live so giving a heads up. Quietest campground!Pool was well kept. Putting area is really old, but fun. We loved the pasture with cows! Also, know you might have a water hookup on the opposite side of your site.

We have stayed at quite a few campgrounds in the Delaware/Pennsylvania/Maryland area and decided to give New Jersey a shot. There aren’t many that we have said we would definitely be back but this is one of them. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We recommend getting a site by the cow pasture as they are friendly and Shaggy (momma cow) is very talkative! The pool is very well kept and is nicer than some of the resort type campgrounds we have been to. The mini golf is very old and in need of repair but my kids loved it and it was free ($5 cash deposit that you get back when you return it he balls/clubs). It does seem like a liability issue/hazard in some spots of the course but still mostly usable. The Wi-Fi is great when needed. We had no issue connecting or with signal. Also make sure you are wearing your wrist band if you are going to the pool! There is a small playground and swings near the store/check in. It was a great experience. ** the entrance is tricky and small so if you don’t have a lot of experience driving with a camper/trailer I’d take your time.

Great park. Shaded sites with adequate space between most sites. Nice well maintained pool, laundry facilty and restroom/showers. Friendly helpful staff with lots of things to do in the park. Park is kid and dog friendly. Had a very enjoyable stay. A winery is within walking distance with a large wine selection. Easy drive into Philadelphia. Water supply is at front of site, not a big deal, but just be sure you have adequate hose avail [30 to 40 ft)

We come here every year for a family reunion. It’s wonderful. So we rent the pavilion, and it gives us access to the pool area. Which is cool, with a few umbrellas for shade. The kids love it and play for the 5-6 hours that we’re there. It’s definitely a family friendly oriented place.

Old Cedar Campground is one of the nicest campgrounds we've visited. Flat shady sites. Rules are strongly enforced so everyone can enjoy a peaceful visit. Fantastic pool. Everything well maintained. Extremely kid friendly. I camp a lot. I have seen my share of campgrounds. In my opinion if I could give them 10 🌟's I certainly would. Will definitely be returning.

Great place. I'm from Texas and stayed here 5 months while working construction in the area. My family enjoyed the campground when they came to visit during the summer. A surprising rural environment with lots of trees and plenty of spaces to walk. The area has an abundance of wildlife and several nature trails are a short drive away. The owner, Matt, and his employees treat everyone like part of the family and know how to keep things organized, maintained and under control. I wanted a safe place with an off the beaten path feeling and this is it. Kid friendly and a great staff. I will be back when I'm back in this area. Thanks Matt!!

This campground is great. A local hideaway that takes camping right back to it’s roots. We loved that it was rustic and easy going, and everyone we saw was so friendly including the staff. The negative reviews on here are just the people who can’t enjoy life’s simple pleasures and need to be constantly entertained. So peaceful and laidback, I think we might look at a seasonal.

Seasonal neighbors have left their lights on all weekend creating a very disappointing campfire atmosphere. Lighting up the inside of our RV at night as well. I would ask them to take turn them off but they are not here. I have spoken to the front desk and nothing.EDIT- The campground took care of the issue. Thank you.Additional Review - We enjoyed our stay overall. This is a definitely a campground that has a ton of potential. The sites by the cow pasture are definitely the most desirable. We wish the pool would have stayed open past 6:30 on a holiday weekend. I also don't think we need to asked for wrist bands over and over again. My boys loved the fishing. The lakes could use a little TLC to make them more accessible and more of an amenity. Overall a nice campground that we will visit again.

Spent a long 4th of July weekend here and just loved it! It is quiet and family friendly. Sites are nice and wide and very clean. The pool is spotless, and the dirt/gravel roads are very smooth. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and there's a perfect mix of planned activities and freedom to roam. The longhorn cattle are neat too! A great place to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Staff is friendly yet very serious about upholding the rules for the safety and enjoyment of all. There was even a great little fireworks display we could enjoy right from our site. Overall a wonderful experience, everything a family campground ought to be, and we are seriously considering a seasonal site for next year. We love Old Cedar! Keep up the great work!!!

Very clean and quiet. Great security. They are out all the time. Would have given 5 star but water in bath house is luke warm. Great for a summertime shower but not great when it is only 50 degrees and no heat in bathroom. Of course my wife likes it hot. Keep that in mind.

My family and I spent our first time camping in one of their cabins. It was basic..2 bunk beds with an amazing AC. From the moment we arrived, till the moment we left, the staff was wonderful. Everyone always had a smile and there were fun things for the kids that allowed social distancing. We will definitely be back. This is our new campground ❤️❤️

We live in florida but I grew up in Elmer and my family camped here when I was a teen. My husband, daughter and I came up to visit family and needed to find a campground to stay for an extra 3 days at the end of our family vacation so my husband could heal from a kidney stone procedure.During check in the lady in the office was very cold, not friendly, we had to say hi and tried to make conversation. It was still an effort for her to talk. Our campsite was horrible. Mabe alittle clean up on sites before guests arrive?!!Loud music played past 11pm.Outdated Bathhouse and still has pull rope to hold while taking a shower. Lots of old run down sites with old not taken care of park models, trailers, RV’s on them. Terrible sights. We used to swim in the clean pond on a nice beach which now is disgusting to look at. On a good note a pool has been added! Was disappointed and won’t return to Old Cedar in the future.Updating after seeing owner’s response:Our main concern was the unfriendly attitude during check-in from your office employee. A huge effort to talk or smile. No Welcome. After 11pm loud music all 3 nites while we were there?

I am torn between a 3-star and 4-star rating for this park. On a positive note, the park is in a lovely location. Very peaceful. Lots of trees. Near a cow pasture. The utilities worked fine. There are some activities to do. Friendly staff. Price is reasonable. However, my pad was not at all level and wasn't really prepared in any way (that is; no gravel or concrete base. It was just dirt and weeds.). The free wifi is too slow to be effective at all. No cable. And being near a pasture there were quite a few flies. Overall a mixed bag. I'd probably go with 3.5.

We had a great time here and will be back very soon. Very nice and helpful neighbors everywhere. Plenty of hiking trails and activities. Staff was friendly and very reasonable prices for the sites. Not a huge campground but that's what i liked about it, everything is in walking distance. Can't wait to book again!

Went to this campground during their final weeks of the season. This was our last "Hurrah" to somewhere local for a night close to home before winterizing our camper. The largest +1's for me was the friendly staff and how the campground was laid out. Several sites to choose from some tucked away, others more neighborly. The place is not a 5-Star location, but is a decent RV park "getaway" from house for those in the south-jersey area. The front desk personnel were very friendly, accommodating, and the groundskeepers were eager to help. The campground's pond is pretty sad looking. I spoke casually with a groundskeeper who mentioned they were looking to install a pool, due to the low water table in the area draining the lake. The location was holding their annual "Trick or Treat" (in Mid October) for children in the campground when I visited. This event was a huge hit with my son, and we all had a great time. There was also a DJ for the night at the pavilion, and had a wonderful time. The campers all seemed respectable, and the groundskeepers did seem to keep a handle on the behavior.I will certainly be returning with my wife and son, next year.

It was quiet and clean with lots of amenities available - Basketball, Pickleball, Shuffle Board, Putt Putt, Horse Shoes, Volleyball Court and a Large Shelter for gatherings. It appears that few use the amenities and many stay for the full season, we enjoyed our stay

My company went down there for some work and we chose this campground and the people here were so amazing. They were very helpful and caring and such a beautiful campsite to come across. They were very accommodating with any changes that we needed done especially that we needed to extend our stay. I recommend them 100% and we will be back in the future hopefully for not working purposes

My husband and I had the worst experience we have ever had at a campground. To begin with all of the sites are in dirt and no matter how hard we tried we could not level our RV. Then when it rained it got even worse. We were lopsided and walking downhill in our unit the entire time we were there. And when we took a shower all of the water pooled in the back and would not go down the drain. Additionally upon entering the park you are handed a long list of rules including a very strict 5 mph speed limit and toldyou must follow the one way signs even if your RV is on fire, there is an emergency, they don’t care. You will be be directed to leave the park immediately without a refund. So when it was time for us to leave at the end of our stay we followed the directions and drove in the right direction down the one way road. This was a big mistake! The roads were so narrow and winding with trees on both sides that we came within one inch of hitting the trees as we exited. Also, the trees were so low that we heard the branches scratch the roof of our RV. We DO NOT recommend this campground to anyone!!!
