Went there to get apple juice. It was in stock, but the man at the front end wanted me to use self checkout. I don't have a problem with the employee, but I do have a problem with companies trying to force self checkout. He was very nice & professional. Get rid of self checkout please. Takes away jobs.

Ok Dollar General store, but aisles are an absolute mess with stuff all over the floors and the staff is just trashy and rude. The older dark haired woman at the register was especially rude as I had gone to pick out a pair of sunglasses real quick and had just gotten over there when she starts yelling at me that she has a line and to hurry up. Definitely not professional and needs better customer service skills.

The staff is nice and friendly, however this store is a wreck. They must be understaffed most of the time because there always seems to be stock in the aisles waiting to be put on the shelves and it is generally messy. I stopped in there on Tuesday and it honestly looked like a bomb had gone off. Easily 40% of the shelves were empty, with a few items rolling around on the floor. It looked like it had been looted by a mob. This location is important to the local community, as many can walk or bicycle there that need to but sadly it looks about to close.

The staff is a strong suit. Yeah sure, sometimes my ice cream flavor isn’t in stock, but it’s laurel lake what do you expect? Better than any other DG I’ve been to. Also they’ll let you in right as they’re closing which is really won them the 5 star review.

This dollar general is one of the worst I have ever seen. It is located in an area where people really need stocked shelves. Most people in Laurel Lake do not drive. And there is no public transportation for them. So this store is their lifeline. Corporate should do something about this. I walked in today and it looked like it was closing up. Nothing in refrigerators or freezers shelves bare. I feel bad for the employees trying to explain to the customers why they never have product.

Honestly i was very disappointed at the Port Elizabeth store. No wifi so i could not access my shopping list on my DG app. Had to get and use a circular to figure out size and amounts for the coupons and 1 isle was completely closed off and Hand trucks lined up and down every isle. Had to keep moving them to get to merchandise.

It's a great place to go if u just need to grab a few quick things. Only issue with this location is they're understaffed. I don't know what's wrong with this location but there's always new people every few weeks. There's always only like 2 people working at all times of the day and the check out line is always at least 5-7 people deep if you're lucky

The store never has anything in stock, it used to not be as bad about a year ago but now they don't even keep cigarettes in stock. Forget about it if you need milk, sugar, bread or eggs.

Where this is a handicap accessible store usually. Due to short staff the isles are always packed with boxes and the store becomes hard to navigate. I am also surprised the fire marshal hasn't been there yet due to the fire and safety hazard because of the boxes constantly crowding the isles.

I shop here multiple times a week. The girls that work here are great. The main issue is the store(as much as I know they try) seems to be in disarray and the lines are frequently quite long. But I will say that part of the reason for this is because this is the one and only "all in one" store for a large area.

The deals are always good. The place is pretty clean. They are poorly staffed though. The lines are normally long and usually only one person on register. Be prepared to wait. People shop for a months groceries here.

Great Place, have everything an old time General store has, easy parking. Only bad be thing was, I am 72 years old yet they would not sell me a pack of smokes. Unless I had a valid NJ identification . This is very ainel, so I left my two shopping carts of stuff at redgester and won't be back. Identification or you can not buy here. Bad attitudes, felt like I was back in old Russia.

Didn't have a lot of sale paper items. Got sale ad in Sunday morning paper,got to store about an hour after they opened. Also a dead zone for my phone do no digital coupons available. Store was quite messy. I do not recommend this unit

Dollar general is really only a place you should go if its close and you dont have access to a real dollar store. Prices are high, stocking is bad, and the lines are always long and there is one register open. Its not the worst, and if there wasnt so much more shoppable places around it would get a better review. It just happens to near the bottom for me.

Extremely dirty, never stocked up, parking lot never swept, trash inside and out will be full and overflowing for days, staff worries more about their phones than helping the line of customers, 1 register open when the line is 10 customers long, always messy behind the counter, roaches and mice, expired food, poorly faced shelves, always leaving boxes in isles for hours, employees on their phones instead of greeting customers, employees having conversations on their phones when ringing up customers, lastly employees will have smoke breaks when there’s a long line of customers and they will all be outside together. No management once so ever.

Why is Dollar General a Dollar store? Everything in the store is above a dollar. If you smoke you better have ID because they card everyone and I've had to go to another store to get cigarettes because I forgot my ID.The store is always clean and there are great deals especially on Saturdays there is a $5 off $25 coupon.

Compared to other dollar generals, the staff is friendly here. They seem to have trouble keeping up with stock, however the store is busier than most dollar generals. The convenience of this location is very nice for Laurel lake.

I carried in a bigger sized purse because I have 3 kids & am always having to hold additional belongings of theirs... & a DG staff member told me I had to leave it in the car!!! It was too big for their comfort due to shoplifters! That was a bit insulting!

Laural new jersey store is a joke big racks of stock blocking products. Back of the store is a mess big mess always out of stock over all I cant stand this store I go because I have to. Three cash reg only one open few clerks are great workers i see what the problem is I'll keep it to myself lazy lazy lazy

This DG is never organized. It does have,usually, what ure looking 4, but can't get straight. Ppl r nice n friendly, always busy, n they know what I'm there 4 n we all pay it forward. I'd giv 5 if had time to stock it all!

Small aisles filled with products. They probably have what you need. This location is a little dirty in the parking lot. Which I find a big turn off so I don't visit often

I am so glad they opened up a dollar general in our small town. Before they opened whenever I needed to grab something for dinner or just anything in general I would have to drive all the way into town to pick up some things but now it's right around the block from me and they are well stocked and good prices.

Store was pretty clean and employees are somewhat nice. Most experiences have been good from there and the employees try to take care of you as much as they are allowed to without store management approval.

The shelves are empty. Need more people restocking the shelves. Other DG's are as always stocked when I go. Not the employees fault there doing the best they can. Just under staffed.

I love Dollar General!! They have everything. You can buy food,clothes, household items and cleaners, dog & cat items, car items kids toys, gifts, cards for every occasion. And prices are reasonable

Always find what I need, staff is always helpful all you have to do is ask. This is one of the busiest DG’s in the area and the help can only do so much , it is exactly what it is suppose to be , a “convenience store”!!
