Probably the worst “pharmacy” in the area. They dont even carry an instant hot pack. This store never has what i am looking for despite being twice the size of the CVS down the street. Do yourself the favor and just go to CVS.

I have been able to fill all of medications from Walgreen and I have used this location for at least ten years or so and I have yet to encounter any problems for at least six or seven years.The Supervior is very professional and knowledgeable and friendly with welcoming attitude. Furthermore the other staff and pharmacists are always nice and helpful except one person who is a south Asian lady that I had problems filling my prescription over Seven to eight years ago where she refused to fill my pain medication even after calling and speaking to my Rheumatologist, so I had to file a complain , and after speaking to her supervisor where she had to verify all the information and confirming and calling my physician again she was able to help me and fill my medication that I had been able to pick up at the same location for at least two years prior to this incident !!!I even told the supervisor that this so called Pharmacist who refused to do her duties and fill my pain medication shouldn't be working there and it is against the law to discriminate.After this incident she disappeared for few years and was transfered or maybe even promoted at the different location!!!However, now after all these years she is back at this location but I haven't had any issues with her again.Beside this one incident which was many years ago prior to the new management and staff I highly recommend this pharmacy as I have not had any issues filling all of my medications here and I have always been greeted with smile.

Pharmacy is horrible. Literally taking a week to fill a prescription,and they refuse to transfer script to another pharmacy. Don't waste your time at this place. There are many options in the area.

Customer service did somebody forget to include that lesson , attitude is not appreciated especially after waiting on the phone for over 15minutes , sick and need my medicine waiting around for another 15 minutes with the only explanation is were to busy can't do anything about it. No leadership , no Management no customers simple wanted to add that I was told that my prescriptions would be ready in 20 minutes and it was over an hour before I was able to get to store and it was not available It seems to me that the Pharmacy lacks the obvious principle of organization but the service is get people the medication needed I know I didn't

I have to fill a prescription a few days early because I wad having a medical procedure done I wouldn't be able to driven for a little while. When I stopped last week they told me It was to early and I would be able to pick it up an the 26th. I called today and they said it would be filled by 3. I go there at 3 and it's not filled. They told me ten minutes and after 15 I asked what was going on. The manager for pharmacy who was very rude told me I could not fill it because it was due in a couple days. I explained to her that I was getting a medical procedure done and I Was was told I could pick it up on the 26th. She was very rude but not to my prescription and would not give me the script back to get it filled somewhere else.. People at Walgreens that work in the farm city do not they think they can do whatever they want and don't care if the person needs the medication or not because they have so many people that go there anyway they don't care about losing this customer

Highly recommend this pharmacy for any vaccinations. The female pharmacist( blond girl) is knowledgeable, professional and might I respectfully add, very easy on the eyes. 😊

This place is horrible, with the rudest and incompetent pharmacy staff I have ever seen. Twice now I have waited on line while multiple pharmacy staff just ignores customers and only one staff member bounces back and forth between the drive thru and store line. I dropped off a prescription on Thursday, was told it would be ready by the afternoon. No text alert came back to the store on Friday, was told it was on order and will be arriving later that evening, no alert Fri or Sat, finally went back to store on Sunday only to be told it was OTC and they can't do anything else for me. I found it difficult to understand why this information couldn't have be told to me sooner, or if they canceled the order. I will never come back to this store ever again.

This is the worst place ever and unfortunately I was forced to give it a 1 star. It has been over a week that I have waited for this pharmacy location to contact my daughter's doctor to switch chew-able to tablets. I called today and they had no idea what I was talking about. The pharmacist is one of those people who never paid attention in school on following linear directions. She mixes the medicine wrong all the time and she wants to argue with the consumer as if she is the one taking the medicine. What a joke? As usual I rather take a longer drive to deal with competent people than an inept. They have too many incompetent people at this location... Every time I get medicine for my children it is a hassle. Poor management

Today I got the worst experience from this pharmacy specially the lady who seems to be in more hurry than serving the customer and understanding the problem. (I drove finally to another pharmacy and they resolve the problem).They are really supper slow. Used to think probably sometimes people just write the review but it is all genuine. Again other than pharmacy store is perfect I can give all 5** but not for pharmacy. So unfortunate. Worst experience I had today at Walgreen Matwan Pharmacy.

We moved to the area over the summer, we have had a few RX filled here. This location is the slowest pharmacy ever. More than 1/2 the time they don't have the RX in stock, but you don't find out until after you go back to pick it up at the time they tell you it will be ready. Why the hell can't they tell you that they don't have it in stock when they take your RX slip to avoid the frustration?!!! I will no longer be using this location any longer and will actually be going if my to go to a different location that we always wind up being transferred to anyway. Yes it's a little out of my way but the the staff in the pharmacy and in the store are a lot kinder.

The manager of this location is rude, unprofessional and incompetent. My first experience in dealing with him was when I ordered prints of family photos. When I went to pick up my prints, I discovered that the store had printed the wrong size. They had printed a larger, more expensive size than what I had ordered on their mobile phone application. When I showed the Walgreens employee my completed order on my phone showing the size I actually ordered, the employee apologized for the mistake and went to get the manager’s authorization to reprint the order correctly. The manager informed the store employee that since the pictures were already printed I would have to pay for the incorrect prints. Outrageous! I asked to speak to the manager face to face in an effort to resolve the issue and was told that he would not come out to speak with me. Unacceptable! Needless to say, I left the store without my pictures as there is no way I was going to pay for a store error. To my astonishment later that day, the store manager called me and had the audacity to tell me that I had to return to the store to pay for and pick up my prints. I explained to him that this would not be happening as I had proof that his store had incorrectly printed the order but I would be happy to pay for and pick up my correct order. He would not work with me at all on this issue and on top of this, he was extremely rude!My next two encounters with him both involved items that I tried to purchase which would not ring up at check out. In both instances, when the cashier called him out for help, he very rudely informed me that he could not sell me the items because they were not in his store’s system. It was as if he blamed me for trying to buy items stocked on his store’s shelves that were not input into his store’s system. In both situations he very conveniently blamed Walgreens corporate office for the problem. I left Walgreens, which lost both sales, and proceeded to CVS. Today when I went to CVS to purchase the same items that I had attempted to buy at Walgreens, I was helped by the very cordial and professional manager at CVS. When I explained my experience at the Walgreens, she was sympathetic. She explained that as a store manager you do what you need to do to accommodate your customers and make sure that they have a pleasant experience shopping at your establishment. She said that it would have been very easy for him to have resolved these issues satisfactorily for both the store and myself.It goes without saying that I will now do all of my shopping at CVS.

Just go elsewhere for prescriptions. Pharmacists are clueless. With bad attitude to match. They ask you to wait whilst the prescription just sits there. A minimum of 30 minutes wait every time. I am bringing my business elsewhere. There’s THREE other pharmacies in Matawan. To top it off, parts of the store’s dirty. Just very unhappy with Walgreens in Matawan. My family and I have given up on this place.

I had taken six cameras to be developed. On the envelope I checked the box for duplicate photos. When I picked up the photos a few days later I took them home and discovered I had only one set. I needed the other set to include in my thank you cards. On the phone I spoke to Jeremy, the manager of the store, he asked me to go into the store to see what they could do. When I got there I spoke to Jeremy’s staff and Jeremy. Jeremy called the processing plant that develops the film, had them transfer my pictures to his store and they printed them at the store. It was the processing plant that made the mistake, but Jeremy and his staff were diligent in their work and got it done. In this day and age where customer service is almost a thing of the past, it is still alive and well at Walgreens at 945 NJ-34, Matawan. Thanks to Jeremy and his staff, the photos are in the mail due to your diligence!

Whoever is in charge of restocking this place is absolute trash. 9/10 times they don’t have what you need in stock. I have tried on every day of the week. I’ve never been to a Walgreens that’s consistently bad

When you take 20 mins to help one customer inside and I've at the drive through it seems you're not making any attempt to be customer oriented. Not to mention 10 mins on hold on phone. They should have closed this location instead of the old bridge one

I was inside the store and i was with my friends and we were just walking around and we found some cool Products and this man with red hair yelled at us testing out products to see if we wanted buy them I’m very hurt and I call mental abuses DON’T COME HERE EVER
