We used to love this place but our pup started returning home with incomplete services. His paws were still dirty - untouched. His body disheveled. All for $71. He looks more groomed after I bathe / groom him. Not coming back.

Being my husbands review seems to have been removed by owners reply I’m reposting with pics.I would advise anyone who is thinking about bringing their pets there against it. Our usual groomer did not have availability for us I went on google reviews about this place and thot it would be a great alternative. Location, relatively new and good reviews. All I can say about it was my boys were hacked. My black golden doodle had one knot ONE on the top of his head from my other dog constantly chewing him there. They shaved 3/4 of his head and left Pom at very top of his head. They shaved off all of his whiskers and I’m not sure if it was from a muzzle but most likely from the shaver cut up both sizes of his face/snout. They were very proud to show me however the Mohawk stripe down his back to distract from the other things they did. My cream golden doodle seemed to be okay except for some abrasions on the top of his snout and his underside/belly!! Last pic was day before grooming!!

Terrible experience.. manger or owner is rude. The girls at the desk have no clue what they’re doing. I called this morning to make an appt for a nail trim and was told to come at 1. I get there at 1 and no one seems to have any clue if I have an appt or who can take my dog. The manager comes out telling me they don’t take walk ins… even though I called? Said they needed medical records (they should have as we’ve been there before). No one took my info or asked for it. Just kinda jumped at me as if i was in the wrong. They were just so unprepared, unprofessional, and rude. I took my dog and left. Will not be going back. There was also dog pee everywhere no one bothered to clean up.Do not recommend I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my dog or any pet there.

Today, we decided to try Dog Lover Day Spa for grooming and washing. When I walked into the spa, I was pleasant to surprise how the stuff welcomed me and my dog. Everyone was so nice,warm, and professional. I felt so comfortable from the moment I opened the door. Also, my baby dog felt so comfy there, and the love she got from the whole stuff, including the owner, was incredible. I couldn't ask for a better service ❤️ for my princess. After the service, I was amazed at how beautiful her haircut was. Also, her fur smelled so good and was silky 😍 All I say they gain a client for life. I will definitely spread the love of the great experience we both had. ❤️ Thank you .

Absolutely love this place! They are so good with our pup. He loves it and it's made him a more calm pup at the end of the day when we bring him home. Recommend them very much!

Do not bring your dog here! My 3 year old got suffered severe trauma to his eyes and is now completely blind in one eye after being groomed here. His optic nerve is completely paralyzed and is irreversible. He was completely fine when I dropped him off and could not open his eye when I got him home. Dog lovers will not take responsibility, will not admit that something happened and will not cover any of the thousands of dollars in vet bills. When I called I was not even asking for them to pay anything, I was just looking for an explanation and some understanding. They did not even apologize! The manager was horribly rude to me and did not even apologize. My poor baby can’t see now because of something I hat happened on their watch. I warn you, do not trust them.

I had two horrible experiences with Dog Lover Day Spa and wanted to share. We have been bringing our 10lb 9 year old Morkie to them for the past year. From the beginning the price was $65 which was comparable to what I had been paying where I used to live in Westfield, NJ. The last few times I let him go past 6 weeks and I had been charged a fee for his matting- I was understanding and said nothing because I had let it go longer than usual between groomings (especially the last time which was right after he had knee surgery so I knew he would be matted) so I paid the extra $10 for de-matting each time.Mind you 2 times previously they brought me out the wrong dog first then kept referring to my male dog as a she AFTER they groomed him and put a jewel on his head for some reason- but I let this go. (See picture)This time it had been maybe 6 weeks and I noticed him getting long so I brought him in. Welll when my husband picks him up we are charged another fee for matting and a grooming is now almost $80 before tipping. I called to speak to a manager and ask why I was charged again and was met with attitude and told I was not properly brushing my dog and their prices were fair. I explained that their prices were fair prior to the Matting charge and explained exactly how I’ve always taken care of my dog and never have heard this from groomers in both NYC and NJ and was met again with attitude and an unwillingness to compromise.My family owns businesses and this is not how you treat customers.Please let me know if anyone can recommend a new groomer in the area!

Extremely happy with the quality of care my dog ace was given. He had a wash and his nails cut and we were very happy!! He smelled extremely clean and felt super soft. I will be going back and I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Hi i love dog lover and it’s unfortunate people leave 1 star views because they do not take aggressive dogs, personally i feel safer when i know my dog is not present around aggressive dogs:)

Bring my dog here about every other month or so, always very happy with the outcome. The groomers are very nice and knowledgeable, and my dog actually likes going. Friendly atmosphere and great work, wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Before I scheduled my dog's appointment I had a long conversation about my dog's anxiety and hyper personality and they assured me they could handle him. He is a 9 month old mini-bernedoodle that weighs 40 lbs. After they butchered my puppy not only were they nasty but rude also. My dog today has razor burns all over his body and is on medication to stop the scratching and irritation. All of this for $159.In response to the owner: Our dog has never bit anyone, including multiple young kids he is around daily. The groomer never mentioned that he bit. I updated my review with the razor burn photos although they don’t do it justice. Your response is extremely unprofessional and rude, and exactly how the groomer spoke to my wife. I would expect at a minimum a reimbursement for the extraordinary fee we were charged and a return of my phone call which I’m still waiting for.

THANK YOU! I can not explain how thankful I am to have found such a great groomer. Ellena and her team go so slow with my fearful dog that has been kicked out of so many Petco and pet smarts. I’ve tried going to the vet to have her nails cut for $50. I feel safe bringing my girl to dog lovers. She is learning so much ever since we started getting on a strict Schedule for her spa day.

I highly recommend Dog Lover Day Spa! They did an amazing job grooming my mini poodle! The owner, Ben, and his staff are so friendly and kind; they were attentive and answered all my questions. Ben personally took the time to explain their grooming process and walk me through their facility, which is incredibly clean and spacious. I met with Kayla when I dropped my dog off to be groomed and she understood exactly what I wanted for my dog’s cut and she completely followed that direction!Dog Lover Day Spa also carries the brand of dog food I buy and it’s less expensive than a chain store! I will be buying from them going forward. I truly can’t say enough about the staff and this grooming spa; I will be bringing my dog here for as long as I live in this area!

DON'T GO HERE. Our dog was injured and they claimed she had a bloody nose and didn't know how or why. Wouldn't release until we paid inFULL. Ran her to the vet had tests run & no problem except mouth abrasion. Owner & Mgr said things happen.

Reposting my review as it does not show up on my other account. Do not use this place unless you want your requests to be ignored. The issue was your employee used nail clippers when I specifically requested them NOT to use since my dog hates them. He is perfectly fine with the dremel and is not a nervous dog. Your employee lied straight to my face and said there was another dog they were using the clippers on when it was clearly my dog bc I could hear him whining which he ONLY whines when clippers are being used, NOT the dremel. And there was no other dog being serviced at the time I went. What an unprofessional response I got from the owner who didn’t acknowledge the issue that I wrote in my review. They chose to insult and try to diss instead of resolving the issue or giving a simple apology.I mentioned I was a repeat customer so no I am not being dishonest.Down below is owners response to my original post.Stay away from this place after posting my experience many dog owners messaged me back saying they have not heard good things about this place.Owners response to original review “Hi, When you entered our shop you stated that your dauschaund was very nervous for its nails and your Aussi was fine. Our groomers dremeled you dogs nails which were extremely too long almost in the paw pads. We understand that you are a competor in the market and should understand that no one in this shop would do anything to harm your pet. When trying get your dogs nails done with another business it would be wise do it honestly. Posting 1 star reviews and and pluging your dog walking business is in poor character. You are in the business and should be able to clip your own dogs nails.”

I brought my puppy to Dog Lover Day Spa for his first bath / grooming ever. The staff was kind, caring and flexible with me from our first phone call. My puppy had so much fun playing and running around the big open room before getting his bath. Kayla was so calm and patient with him and made him feel comfortable getting used to the sound of the clippers, etc. I’ve never heard of anywhere else that does a puppy grooming “introduction” like this! Needless to say, he did not want to go home when I went to pick him up! He looked great, smelled AMAZING, and I was even given a holiday bag full of goodies for him. Since then, he has gone to daycare at Dog Lover Day Spa as well, and he loves it so much. It’s also extremely affordable and they take such great care of the dogs. I wouldn’t trust anyone else but Kayla, Ben and the rest of the amazing staff here to watch my baby. Lastly, their prices for food, treats, toys etc are better than Chewy and Petco!! Love this place ❤️

Today we took our two dogs to Dog Lover Day Spa for the first time , we have been everywhere but this place by far was the best, the minute you walk in staff is very kind and friendly, the place is clean and fresh. They have done an amazing job on our Poodle and Maltese! They came home happy and in style , will definitely recommend going here and we will be back for sure !

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and have passed along information that I haven’t even received from my vet (best food products and why large dogs need protein, showing a spot on my dog to have my vet check out, showing an ingrown toe nail, etc.) The handlers are so sweet with my dogs, and very knowledgeable about the different breeds and what hair styles are the classics for each breed, or perhaps other outside the norm recommendations. They use high end products, and my dogs come home smelling beautifully. My husky (Bandit) had never been to a groomer before and they went out of their way to make him feel comfortable. They even stayed late to make sure he was perfect, and sent me next store for a slice of pizza while I waited. I was so thrilled when I saw Bandit. Seriously, not a single hair was out of place and his fur feels nothing like when I bathe him at home. AND...they sent him home wearing a little tie (and my female westie with little bows in her hair!) They really pull out all the stops here. Best food products (all natural...Ben will gladly show you the labels and explain anything you want to know), best care products, best people, and the price is great. Thank you for taking care of my little family!! I’ll see you guys soon!

My dog and 2 cats were groomed here over the weekend, everyone there did the most amazing work. They were probably the sweetest people you could possibly ever meet. So kind and caring to all my animals. It’s hard for people to trust people around their fur babies, but if there’s any groomer in the world my family and I trust, it’s all the people who work here! When first getting my labradoodle puppy, I called for some advice on grooming and they were beyond helpful over the phone (before ever getting my business). Since then, I’ve brought him regularly for grooming as well as doggy day care while I’m back to in person work. The staff is so caring, responsive, and supportive. Going back to work was a major stress for countless reasons, leaving the fur babe especially, and knowing how happy and loved he is every day brings me so much ease to drop him each morning.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dog Lover Day Spa. We have been using them for several months now and they continue to impress us each time. They took the time to show us how to correctly brush our goldendoodle and recommended products to us that would help us. I took my lab-mix here to be bathed and for her nails to be cut. My pup, Libby, gets nervous around people that she doesn’t know but the team here did everything to make her feel more comfortable. They even gave her a special bath for her dandruff. I was so pleased after her appointment and I am glad I found a local place that I can trust. See you guys soon!

I walked into Dog Lover Day Spa to get some information on grooming my small Havanese who was in desperate need of a haircut. Ben was very friendly and knowledgeable while discussing my concerns about how challenging my "little princess" has been in the past. Another local shop refused to service her anymore because she was "too difficult" to groom, which resulted in an emergency trip to the vet for a broken nail that was bleeding. That was almost a year ago so you can imagine what condition she was in when I brought her in this morning. (We attempted to shave her ourselves over the summer...epic fail!) Tayler had an immediate availability and was absolutely wonderful with my dog. She removed all the matts and gave her a really cute cut. I am extremely happy with their services and would highly recommend them for grooming. I also plan on purchasing my dog's limited ingredient food there as their prices are lower than the chain stores. I am thrilled to have this new business so close to home!
