Frequent here regularly and love the staff except manager Ron. He is rude and unprofessional. I play bingo regular and this week the bartender gave me a bottle that was different than usual. When Ron found out he proceeded to grab my bottle and yell at the bartender (who is great) and said we never give that. He not only yelled at a staff member in front of me but took away my bottle abruptly that was actually of a lesser value. I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior. I was very taken aback by this. Guess the customer isn’t always right. Never had that happen before was a very unpleasant experience probably won’t be back when he’s here.

Awesome food and even better service. The waitress was one of the best we have had in a while and was very accommodating. Food was great. Callimari wasn't good at all too chewy. Hit or miss with squid these days. Everything else was to die for. The sweet potato fries are the best in area. Will deff be back.

My wife, my sister in law and I went there this past Saturday for drinks and starters. We got there a little after 12pm. We were greeted by a nice waiter and were told to sit wherever we wanted. We had boneless wings, mozzarella sticks and chicken nachos. All the food was delicious. The same waiter was friendly, welcoming and attentive but not over doing it. Thankyou.

The ambience is a little tired in the back room but who cares when they have the best steak sandwich and such fantastic burgers? Even the kids penne vodka pasta was a winner. Wide variety in the menu, friendly service. We'd come back for sure.

Was out exploring , trying to find a place for dinner and drink. It looked friendly and inviting when I drive by. Wasn't disappointed when I went inside. The staff was great and on top of taking care of people. The food was melt in your mouth amazing!! Had a live band with good music and the drinks were on point. Will definitely come back next Time I'm in town.

Amazing! Staff was incredible and friendly. Came in after driving 2 hours to the shore.drink and hot food within 10 mins. The cheese steak is amazing! Like actual pieces of steak! Coming from pa I didn't expect that but pleasantly surprised! Good music. My waitress sam was very attentive and welcoming! Awesome member to your team!

Used to be a favorite. Barmaid is the RUDEST person ever. Waited 15 minutes for a drink while she served others that came in afterwards (obviously regulars). She told me “If you don’t like my service you can leave!” WHAT SERVICE!!!! Have been going here for over 40 years but I will not step into the place again. Waitress service is nice but cannot overcome the rude barmaid!

My wife's lobster roll was very good. But my fish taco was very dry. The calamari was ok a little under cooked. The staff was very friendly. I felt the sangria my wife had was a little expensive for a bar 12 each. Like the place the first time I went. Think I'll pass the next time I'm in the area

I’ve been going to Used To Be’s for years - fun, easy beach lunch, great weekday lunch specials, good, attentive, servers. This year, sadly, the food is awful - and I won’t return. I ordered the chicken & avocado special and the chicken was raw - I sent it back and got chicken “jerky” back. On a subsequent trip I , again, got “jerky”. I kept trying - on another visit I ordered grilled chicken instead of fried and that, too, was overcooked & unpalatable. Ultimately, I eat out for the food and Used to Be’s food is awful.

We really love this place and go pretty regularly. That said, I would love to be recognized by the host, servers, or bartenders, which I feel is just good service. The food is good, I just wish they acknowledged the regulars. I’m not asking for special pricing or free drinks, just acknowledge that you’ve seen me before and welcome me back. If it weren’t for that, this would be a 5 star rating.

If I could give this place a zero stars I would. Bartender, hostess, and manager were incredibly rude. We came and asked for a table of 6 and were told 15-30 mins. We waited at the bar and the bartender gave us such an attitude when we were trying to order drinks. An hour later we asked the hostess how much longer for a table. She told us about 20 more mins. We waited an additional 20 mins and asked the hostess and manager how much longer. They admitted that they messed up and that we would be seated immediately. At this point we have been waiting an hour and 30 mins. Everyone was extremely hungry so I asked the hostess for a time estimate in which she told me another 20 mins. I approached the manager who proceeded to yell at me about how I just asked 5 mins ago and that they would seat us when they had a table. I understand that running a restaurant and dealing with a crowd can be challenging and stressful but these employees were incredibly rude and ruined our night. I wouldn’t recommend this place. This place has TERRIBLE customer service. 0/5 stars.

My husband and I ordered the lobster roll. When it came it looked good the fries were crunchy the roll was buttery but the lobster was hard to find. The sandwich was a lobster salad, and had some lobster in it but it was mostly imitation imitation crab and mayonnaise. The bloody Mary we had was delicious. We’re definitely give that five stars. The lobster roll, is not a lobster roll it’s a lobster salad sandwich.

Good location. We were seated fairly soon after we got there. The menu is ok, a little overpriced for what they offer. The place is really noisy. If you aim for a quiet meal this is not for you. I ordered clams in white wine sauce. They were very good, but they didn't come with pasta. I had to order a side of it. They don't give you bags to carry your food, either.As for my one and only experience I don't think I'll be coming back. $$$ 🤨 ⭐⭐⭐

I've been passing the place for years but never went inside. Decided that tonight was the night I should pop my head in and look around. I was quite happy the service was good the atmosphere was a little on the dark side but very comfortable and they had a prime rib dinner for under $25 and a very good house Cabernet. Wait staff was friendly and fast. Not much more I could ask for

We stopped in for dinner on our way home from a day at the shore, not really knowing what to expect. And wow! We were blown away. The atmosphere was casual and fun, (though there was an issue with the lighting that caused the overhead lights to continuously dim & brighten that really needs to be addressed). Service was excellent. Our meal was perfect! I highly reccomend a visit to Used to Be's.

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for the first time to drink at the bar. Unfortunately, the bar was full and the the hostess was nice enough to sit us at the high top seating. We ordered two drinks and before we had the chance to finish, the waitress kicked us out. She informed with an attitude that if we are not ordering food then we will not be able to sit at that seating. I informed the waitress that we asked the hostess to sit at the bar, but since it was full the hostess sat us here. The waitress gave us attitude and closed us out without informing us. She rushed back with the check and 2 minutes later the manager slammed his hand on our table and asked if we were ordering food. We explained the same situation and he said that we will have to leave if we are not eating. The worst experience I have EVER had at any restaurant. There was no professionalism or good communication amongst all workers we were in contact with. We did not feel wanted to be there and did not have a great experience .
