I catered for my mom’s memorial service 3/2/24, the service I received was overwhelming . John went above and beyond, I felt like I was ordering from family. The food was absolutely amazing and the portions were beyond what I expected. I’m originally from Bensonhurst Brookyn and very picky about Italian food, Pastosa was phenomenal. My family was very impressed , my mom would have been proud ❤️❤️🙌🏼. Thank you John for the love you put into your food.

I didn’t realize because I was buying “ Pastosa” Ravioli from a store in Point Pleasant Beach that their Store in Manasquan was an Authentic REAL ITALIAN Deli - Homemade sausage incredible, breads , desserts, baking supplies , yeast , almond flavoring, I shopped & really looked around this store , it is absolutely the most authentic. The service is helpful, kind & patient which makes a big difference.

We just discovered this wonderful place. A takeout meal on a patio will cost you a whole lot less that dining out and be every bit as delicious! We are not going to share our favorite because there won't be any left when we go! We are sure you'll be impressed.

I don't usually write random reviews but I just felt I had to after my most recent (and actually every single) experience here. Anytime I walk into Pastosa everyone is SO friendly, attentive, helpful, and just generally NICE. And on top of that, I happen to be a fried ravioli connoisseur- so I'll just say.... watch out Taliercio's. Pastosa fried ravs are 10x better. I get a tray of them for every party. We've had them from a bunch of different places in the area and Pastosa's are hands down the best.

Great food and service. I’ve gotten “The Islander” Sandwich for the fourth time. I am usually very picky when it comes to food and whatnot, but I think this is probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had.

Amazing raviolis (of course) but this is the best place to get the most amazing sandwiches! First time getting a sandwich here and it’s literally enough for 2 or 3 hungry people! The bread was so fresh and the sandwich ingredients were delish! Met Troy the friendly owner too, what a great store. Everything is looks great and they even grind their own meats on the premises. I think I have found my new go to sandwich place too! I haven’t tried anything more than their sauces and raviolis, but I’ll be back soon!

There is not enough praise that I can express about John & Chris at Pastosa in Manasquan, NJ. Their catering menu is so extensive and delicious. They catered 3 seperate events at my beach rental in Brielle. They made everything easy, from ordering to delivery. Set up was flawless and food was delicious!!

They have a great selection of food items, but not much when it comes to dessert, just cookies and a few cakes. No cannolis or pastries. The food was very good and the selection was better than the other place a few miles away. I walked in looking for one thing and left with two bags full of food. The staff was much friendlier and helpful as well. If they didn't have something, they would tell you where you can go to find it and not give you attitude or try to push something else on you that you don't even want.

Giving 3 stars because my last purchases were not great. Prices keep going up which of course is everywhere. The manicotti are very good and a good value. Frozen is $2 less than fresh but they heat up in 20 min from the freezer. Their marinara sauce is so so but fine in a pinch. The cheese lasagna was awful. Just two layers of lasagna noodles and a mountain of cheese. It did not taste like they mixed egg, parsley, grated cheese, pepper in it. Just tasted like ricotta. Sadly the ricotta tasted sour. Tonight I had to throw out two practically whole pieces of a pinwheel that had some sort of beef wrapped around spinach, maybe bacon, and cheese. The beef was so tough and did not taste good. Pretty much the entire two pieces went into the garbage. I am sure if I brought it back they would have refunded my money. I will stick to what I know they do well and to the liking of my family.

Visited this shop for the first time this past weekend and had a great experience. Wanted to try everything, but was in town just for the day so went with an Italian sub that was top notch. Staff was super nice too. Only drawback was that I couldn't enjoy my sub in the nice outdoor seating area due to the weather :). Look forward to visiting again next time I'm down the shore.

*****Update 4/2023 …. Wasn’t a great experience previously but I decided to give this place another chance because i think everyplace deserves one. I didn’t want their recent changes made, to go unnoticed. I went back recently and had a great experience. The workers were very polite and many willing to help everyone in the store. I found the past few times I went were great visits. I have not been there later than 5:30pm so I don’t know if the hot dishes are put away early or not. Prices are a little higher but so is everything nowadays so cannot blame them. Everything you will have here is delicious and fresh and probably one of the best Italian style chicken Parms around. Some of the best cold cuts here and the roast beef is always cooked perfect. Pizzas prepared to go are a good option and they also offer dough and toppings for pizzas to have fun making at home with your kids. Giovanni is always willing to help everyone and helps you figure out what you will like along with the whole staff. Glad to see things have changed and will be going back for sure! Great food and service, definitely worth a visit.Old review…. In response to reviewer Kathy / Karen O’Conner that feels the need to respond with her experience which is fabricated. One review for you on google and you call me out in your only review? Wow Lol ..just FYI. I took the post down bc I do not want the employees there to be held responsible for the poor management choices. I had second thoughts. Someone had something to say to me after I asked what time they closed ? and where is all the food at? then they respond with something not nice. No one was in that section of the store, You are correct when I cursed back at them and told them to close. I did tell the owner / manager to his face that there’s no food out at 5:45pm while he was chatting at the front counter. if the girl behind the register counter was offended, I apologize, it was not directed at her and she knows that. Karen OConner ur opinion is obviously biased. The food is good I have had good visits here since opening and went during the pandemic to support. I had a recent bad experience. Kathy O Conner needs to Stick to writing reviews on the places and not reviewing on the reviews left.

We were racing to get there before they closed. At 4:55pm we walked in hoping to get one of the prepared antipasto trays. They were sold out and Gio said no worries give me a few minutes and I will make a fresh one up for you. That, is service and putting the customer first. Thank you to the entire staff.

My second visit to Pastosa enjoyed the Italian sausage ring on the grill it was delicious. I went back and bought a few thing yesterday . I made the mistake of buying very expensive lobster ravioli. I am sorry to say they were NOT very good. No lobster, no lobster flavor and lots of ricotta. Very disappointing. I sure the cheese ravioli are worth the $$

Excellent! We ordered some dishes last minute (the day before a family party). Well…everyone loved everything! We ordered chicken Franchese sausage and peppers, yellow rice with veggies and chicken ceasar pasta salad. All delish! The girl who took the phone order was delightful and very helpful. And everyone at their yummy and visually appealing store made up pick up very easy! Highly recommend!
