Everyone was nice enough, but not the best training. We came in this weekend to support the Children's Miracle Network bucket fundraiser. I didn't have anything specific in mind to buy, but wanted to help out since it's an awesome fundraiser. I walked around the store, didn't find anything I particularly needed, so I figured since I came down, I may as well donate the $5 at least. Asked the cashier if we can just donate the $5 and not participate in the 20% off, and she looked at us like we had 3 heads and informed us she'd need to call a manager to ask. She looks extremely flustered and the manager doesn't answer for a couple minutes. She begins to look more and more nervous while she waits to be acknowledged. To make things easier on her, I said I'll just buy a piece of candy to put in the bucket. She still looks extremely flustered and rings up the candy, but not the bucket. At this point, I just want to move on with my day, and save this poor girl the confusion and embarrassment of having the customer have to explain to her that I am just trying to donate $5 and don't care about the candy in the least, so I pay for the candy and leave. It was awkward all around. If you're going to have promotions, you should inform the cashiers, and if you're going to have untrained cashiers working alone, management really should be more available to help them or to answer questions they may have. I don't see myself going out of my way to shop here in the future.

The nicest employees ever! I rarely post reviews but I just had the nicest experience here today 07/20/2020! I went to get copies of keys, and Michael was nothing but helpful and even referred me to another key place when I found out he was unable to copy one of my keys. He went out of his way to chat with me and made sure my keys were perfect. The woman who was working the register was awesome as well!

I'm a local contractor out of Wall Twp. Needed a piece of glass cut for a storm window. Gentlemen in the back had been there for over 11 years and I can see why. Amazing service! 👍

Local neighborhood hardware store. Never ceases to amaze me that they know where everything is in that place. Just ask for help Don't hurt yourself wandering around will point you in the right direction. Best part is the drive around back and get loaded. If you need salt gravel mulch they're there to help. I always like to tip the guys in the back a couple bucks for loading up the truck.

I shop A's Hardware (ACE) for almost all of my hardware needs even though there's Home Depot & Lowes just a short distance away. The staff is very helpful and courteous.

It was the Thanksgiving Friday and spent the week at the NJ Shore and between places being closed and wanting to minimally shop on the biggest shopping day of the year, we walked into this ACE location in Manasquan and asked the RBF female at register if we could purchase a gas can using our 50% off rewards customer coupon. She explained that the coupon could only be redeemed at the location printed on the coupon!What? I frequent FOUR locations near my home and NEVER encountered this rule. I should of asked for the manager because sometimes these clerks have their own rules, called state line laws! LOLI did receive an answer from corporate with some lame explanation to that effect and will think long and hard before frequenting that Ace location.I did purchase a 5 gallon gas can at Ocean Lot for $15 which would have been the 50% off price. Overpriced and lacking customer courtesy,

When home depot and Lowe's failed me I went to ace hardware an employee in the paint department was very helpful. Not only did he give me his personal attention but he was also knowledgeable on all their material

Helpful staff and decent selection of products, but expect to pay 50% to 75% more than Home Depot or Lowes. The also rarely are a participating store in any of the Ace hardware emails or online promotions you may see.

They have reasonable hours, and a good selection of hardware, prices aren’t as cheap as those gigantic stores but their staff are knowledgeable and honest. You can also fill up propane tanks here. Parking can be tricky as the lot fills up quickly and there are several entrances where car coming in and a car coming out can get mixed up. I think A’s and ACE are separate companies with same owner (although I’m not completely certain). So if you buy something at one store you might not be able to pay for it all at one cashier. Overall I think it’s worth coming here.

Michael from Ace Hardware in Manasquan is absolutely incredible. I have a home in wall township New Jersey but I am presently in South Carolina and I needed a fire extinguisher so I sent a neighbour to pick it up for me . Michael made it so easy that he brought the fire extinguisher to the front and actually picked out screws and had everything ready for my neighbour to pick up. Thank you MICHAEL

Probably the best local hardware shop in our area. They almost always have whatever I'm looking for, the prices are good, and the staff is extremely helpful. I'd much rather shop here than trudge through miles of aisles and deal with either unhelpful staff or no staff at all as is usually the case at the two major big box hardware stores (neither of which is just down the road like Ace Hardware).

Rude and unprofessional.Thursday 6/25/20. My husband has an armful of overpriced parts needed to fix our broken outside faucet, which he has started. He needs one more thing. Without warning,they turn out the lights and announce they are closed. They did not offer to ring him or the other customer up or let him to get that last thing. Just lights out. Needless to say both customers were fuming when they left empty handed. I will never step foot in this store again.
