Leaving our dog Sadie is always hard but with the strong recommendation we received and a trial visit, we were confident she was at the right place. The staff is warm and friendly and the facility spotless. We loved getting photo updates so we could see how Sadie was doing. We would not hesitate bringing her back to stay again if the need arises and we will certainly recommend the place to any of our friends that need a place to board their pets.

We just let our dog stay there for boarding and everything was amazing! The staff is super friendly, communication is great and my dog looked genuinely ecstatic at pickup and in the daily photos and videos I received! We will definitely be going back and recommend this place 10 out of 10! Thank you all for showing Louie a great time!

I am so happy that I found Mahwah Vet Groom and Board for boarding my anxious pup. He has boarded there for our last two vacations and Brendan and gang have really gone the extra mile to help him (and myself!) feel comfortable. The communication with me while I was away was excellent- they sent me numerous texts, pictures, and videos. At one point he wasn’t eating his food very well and they pulled out all of the stops for him- making rice to add to his food and even spoon feeding him! Knowing that he is such good hands helps us relax and enjoy our vacation.

We have been bringing our sweet little maltipoo to Mahwah Vet Groom & Board for over a year now. Sometimes it’s for an overnight visit and sometimes it’s for a longer one. Our dog is treated so well. She is loved, hugged, gets lap time and always comes home just as well behaved as she was when we dropped her off there. Brendan and Carmen are great with communication. They are always quick to respond to texts, and have been more than happy to help with a couple last minute schedule changes. Brendan is also great with sending photos and videos of our sweet dog, alone and having fun playing with the other dogs. Highly recommend!

The entire staff is absolutely amazing. They really took the time to get to know my dog. We are very happy with their daycare and boarding services. We are going to try grooming next! The staff sends photo and video updates which is really nice. My dog practically walks me into the building when I let her out of the car. We are so glad that our dog has found a home away from home!

Boarded our kitten here while we visited family out of state for the holidays -- he is still young (~6 months now) and we are first time cat owners, so we were very nervous! However we received regular updates and pictures of our boy who was clearly well loved. We even received some advice on feeding/schedules from the on-site vet after his stay was up, which was very much appreciated and in my opinion really highlighted that they were paying attention and wanted the best for our cat. This is clearly a place full of people who really love and care for animals. We will definitely be using them for any future boarding needs!

I boarded my 14 year old dog for the first time ever at Mahwah Vet Groom and Board. They couldn’t have been more competent, attentive, and caring to our elder dog AND our puppy we boarded there as well. They called to check in with me. They sent photos. From answering all my questions to the care of the dogs they were excellent. I trust them with my dogs and am grateful to have found them.

I took my good boy for some of his shots yesterday and everybody there was SO very helpful and great!! Dr. Rivero really listens and offers very helpful advice. You can tell that everyone that works there is very compassionate and loves animals. They all truly go above and beyond and are so nice. When I scheduled the appointment I didn’t request his nails to be trimmed but when I got there I asked if it could be done and they said yes and were very accommodating. I’m so happy that I found Dr. Rivero and this place!! I would definitely recommend taking your fur baby here! I would give them 10 stars ⭐️ if I could!

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Brendan, Carmen, and team are so incredible. Not only do my dogs love coming here but I do as wel! I know that my babies are loved and well taken care of here which puts my mind at ease. I have used other daycare places and nowhere comes close to the level of compassion that this facility has for my animals. They know each dog and take an interest in their care which I can’t say that I’ve found anywhere else. I trust the staff completely and I know my pups are in good hands while they’re there. I love the photos and videos that they send me throughout the day while my dogs play around having a blast! This place is worth every penny and I wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else!

My dog was heavily matted, and was petrified, going to groomers. They took such good care of my dog. They made sure my dog was not stressed and gave him time to recover. They really care for your dog. I have never been to such a place where they took their time and effort to make sure your dog is not stress and they really put your dogs health and wellness first. Not many places are like this. I am so grateful I found this place and I will be forever a customer. Thank so much for all you do.

I have a Shitzu who's had way too many fail grooming experiences in Bergen County. I took her to Mahwah Veterinarian Groom & Board at Dr. Rita's suggestion. (She is my baby's vet and I would not change her for the world. She is definitely one of a kind). I can happily report that it has been the best decision and experience ever! Yesterday for example, Leia had another appointment and her hair was a terrible mess! A real challenge for the most experienced groomer. Fortunately, Gracia took charge and demonstrated to be a miracle worker! She did a phenomenal job and my furry baby now looks like a million bucks! Finally, I would also like to mention that Carmen and Brendan are awesome! They have great rapport, customer service and most importantly: willingness to help! Extraordinary team! Highly recommend Mahwah Veterinarian Groom & Board. We’ve never boarded our puppies before, and this was our first time boarding. They made the whole process comfortable, easy and stress free. Everyone there is so kind and caring. They give frequent updates, along with pictures of the pups while they play. An added plus is that there’s a vet and groomer on board as well. Will definitely bring my pups back here!

This was the first time for our dog to be put in a kennel for 10 days and I couldn't have asked for a better place to put her. They are the most caring people I have ever encountered and my girl couldn’t have been happier. They kept us informed of her progress there, as well as taking pictures and videos. Made us able to enjoy our vacation a little more. They are like family, don’t think twice about putting your pet here, best ever. This will be our girls second home when we need them. Highly recommend.

We have two dogs with special needs that are a little anxious, timid and do not do well with other dogs, so we were nervous to board them because of how they'd adjust. From the moment we first toured the facility and met the staff, we felt comforted by their care for the animals and efforts to ease our own anxiety. Both our dogs were well taken care of; the staff kept in touch via text sending us pics and videos of them, and were very responsive to our checking in. Very grateful it was a positive experience and would definitely recommend.

My 14 year old pup has been notoriously challenging to groom- she has been blacklisted unfortunately at several establishments due to her feistiness with being touched and handled- I am indebted to this team for taking such time and care with my senior dog…beautiful job!

Dr.Rita and staff are amazing. I had gone to a vet in Franklin Lakes for 12 years but just didn't feel we were valued and respected anymore. Their fees, being rushed and minimal personalization for our canine was a good enough reason to leave. I wish we found Mahwah Veterinarian groom and board a lot sooner.

Our two dogs just got back from spending 9 days at Mahwah Veternarian Groom & Board and they look so great!!! We were nervous at first about their stay at a new place but they put our minds at ease from the moment that we got there until we picked them up. Brendan the manager there sent us tons of pictures and videos of our girls having a great time and making new friends and we texted with them the entire time we were out of the country. We are so happy that we found this place and will definitely be using them again in the future. They groomed both of our dogs too and did an incredible job. We cannot thank them enough. The entire staff is super caring and diligent and it's so nice to find a place where our pets can be in such great hands while we travel. We will definitely be back.

Hi Dr. Rivero and Carmen,I have to tell you that I was very impressed with all the staff, and their professionalism and sweetness in caring for the pets and the human clients, even while in your absence.I have met a mature lady, and three young ladies since I dropped my dog Lily, to today, all very gentle and loving with Lily, and very nice with me. Lily was very sad to leave.When picked up my dog Lily, I met the young lady, but with grey hair style, who seemed to be in charge. I was really impressed by the professional manner in which she balanced her responsibility to obtain payment, and the respect and regard for the client. She was very calm and discreet, yet very poised in trying to settle my bill before giving me the pet, as my account had not been finalized.All the staff was very professional, yet soft and mindful not to offend me as a client.I found this young woman to be very good representation for your establishment.I know how hard you Carmen, and Dr. Rivero strive to give your best medical care and love to the pets, while maintaining top professional etiquette.I took some business cards for friends!Lily barked that she was very happy in your pet resort.Maritza

I love this place! I have 2 shitzu teddy bears and we got their first grooming here. I was so satisfied with the visit but the location was about 25 minutes from my home so I tried several other places.Not 1 of those groomers matched my experience with Mahwah grooming so we came back and they remembered us! I don't trust my little ones to anyone else now. We gladly make the 25 minute trip for that excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. You guys are the best!

I brought my dog in today for a bath as part of a fundraiser with Real Dog Rescue. The staff is friendly and focused on making the experience comfortable for the dogs. Ingrid helped me pick out a brush so I can hopefully keep Scout’s coat looking just as nice at home. I loved the cute bandana that they put on after the wash. I especially am happy to support a business that is so willing to support dogs in need. I would recommend this groomer to any dog owner.

We have been to MVGB several times, for grooming and even boarding. Our 108 lb. German Shepherd will not have anything to do with bathing at home (other than tying him to a tree). And me being a neurotic dog mother, before we just left him there, I was able to speak with the staff and even took a look at the outdoor play area. I felt sooo much better to see their set up.Not only have MVGB made my little boy shine, they even DE-SKUNKED him. I watched (for a moment) how much they scrubbed and massaged my dog, and he was all nimbly bimbly at pick up time. These ladies know what they're doing - it's more than just soap and dog.

I boarded both my dogs here in April. They took really good care of them. Played with them, made sure they ate properly (added homemade rice and chicken to their food) and even gave one of my dog’s antibiotics when he had diarrhea. I am pleased and my dogs seemed happy. Recommended!
