I stayed at this location while traveling with friends to NYC. This was a convenient location and reasonable price for us. There was a large group of us, but check-in was a breeze. I also completed some of check-in online.Being one of the drivers, I was ready to relax once I got to my room. Opening the door was a breath of fresh air. Everything was clean and in place. After showering, I was able to take a nap in record time.Check-in was on a Friday afternoon. We checked out on a Sunday morning. Breakfast was great every morning; it tasted better being free & included. I forgot to include pictures. Parking can be a little tricky if you come in late at night. I haven't had the best experience at Hilton locations. I'd definitely return to this one if I'm back in the area.

This hotel has some positives and negatives.The positives were Monica the manager and Wayne the kitchen chef. They were both very accommodating and had a pleasant and warm spirit. The negatives were the dishes were not cleaned and the king bed was uncomfortable.Rooms: Nice and cleanFood & drinks: Breakfast was great, thanks to Wayne.

This place is extremely outdated. Housekeeping is great but the halls and elevators just reek of mold. Good luck trying to get a hot shower. Some days it warm others it cold but never hot and relaxing.Rooms: Outdated decor.Noteworthy details: 3 washing machines and 6 dryers is not ideal for a location that has over 300 rooms.

This was my husband and I first time staying at this place. When we entered through the rear entrance, there were so many black cats at the door. We were startled! When we entered the hotel, we smelled a reek of cat and dog! It was disgusting!When we entered our room we wanted to shower and get comfortable but there was no hot water. We called the front desk and they switched us to another room. The new room had a broken cabinet door hanging from the hinge, and when we cooked our dinner and washed dishes the dam floor in the kitchen was soaked with water. We called the front desk and they told us that there is no maintenance on site. Therefore, they brought us towels to soak up the water. What a mess at this hotel.The bed was comfortable, I must say, but customer service stinked! They were rude each time we called with a problem...very unprofessional! They showed no willingness to correct the issues we had. It seemed to us that they didn't care!We are DIAMOND MEMBERS and should not have encountered/ experienced a Hilton brand hotel! We are never staying there again! The hotel/ motel needs renovating & surveillance cameras around the property!Safety: There is no surveillance system in the rear entrance! Very unsafe!

It was definitely a nice location. I understand that rooms will not be cleaned every day, but upon arrival, the suite floors had not been vacuum. My friend and I had to wipe down tables and toilets (obviously they had not cleaned; the tub even had hair in it!).Noteworthy details: The morning food selections and service were excellent!!!

This is an update to my last post. I am very thankful for the sympathetic response to my son's need in providing for a vehicle to take most of my son's family to LaGuardia and their luggage. Also I am VERY thankful for all the security cameras on the property , other than the parking lot. Hopefully some day the parking lot may have security cameras as wellSafety: Not as safe as I would like. I hope the next time we stay there that parking lot security cameras are installed

The rooms were very spacious and accommodating for the same rate as other smaller rooms in different hotels close by. It was not as clean as I prefer, and there was significant noise from the parking lot through the night that kept me up but overall it was acceptable for a short notice booking. I am a Diamond member and my nonsmoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes, and I was unable to move to another room, despite having two young children with a history respiratory issues. I would have left if there were other options nearby but we were there for a funeral and because of the holiday there weren’t other options in the area. I’m never going back, and can’t recommend this hotel.Rooms: If you want a nonsmoking room that smells strongly of cigarettes, this is your hotel.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. When I booked the room I requested a crib. When I checked in they said they didn't have any and instead gave me extra blankets. They said you can only request a crib, you can't book them, because it's not guaranteed. We got to the room, and it smelled like cigarette smoke. They didn't clean the room Sunday during he day, or leave new towels. Sunday breakfast was better then Monday morning breakfast. The employees at breakfast were very nice and helpful with my kids

My family and I had such an enjoyable stay. The breakfast was top notch, and all the employees were very friendly. We spent hours at the pool, and we felt like we were at a resort. The hotel was decorated with the most beautiful flowers that added such a wonderful touch to the grounds. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be joining them againRooms: The rooms are spacious and absolutely spotless. The rooms come equipped with everything you could possibly need if you wanted to. Cook a full meal, relax with the family and watch a movie, and it was so much nicer than just having the one bedroom so that you could not be sitting in bed and you had the use of the living room to just sit and relax.Nearby activities: We found so many fun things to do nearby that we were completely exhausted at the end of the day, but still got up early to enjoy everything else that we had missed the previous day. Lots of great shopping. There are also a lot of parks and beautiful scenery.Safety: We felt completely safe the entire stay there were no problems whatsoeverWalkability: The hotel is located near everything you could possibly want. They were wonderful restaurants, shopping and activities.

This hotel is nice. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Kid friendly. Love the suites, especially the two bedroom. If you have kids, these suites are perfect. Pool is nice, but small. Nice area around the pool with built-in grills. Very nice breakfast 😋 offered every morning. Our family experienced a nice stay.Rooms: Higher toilets would be nice.

We had a marvelous staycation. It is tucked in a quiet area close to Route 17. We had a hearty breakfast. They have sausage, eggs, toast, muffin, fruits and oatmeal. Ms. Monica B. was kind, friendly and accommodating. She made us feel welcome.They have a nice pool that will cool you down during the summer. And a place to just relax and recharge after long hours of work.

I was charged the full amount as a Hilton Diamond Member knowing that I could not make it to my reservation due to a medical emergency. The manager, David was extremely unprofessional and rude over the phone and ended up hanging up on me after telling me that I was lying about the medical emergency. As a Hilton Diamond Member, I've never experienced such poor customer service, very disappointing. The mananger is very ignorant and unethical.

The hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff is SO kind! It has a really homey feel. I stayed in the two room suite and there was a ton of space, two bathrooms, multiple tvs and a couch. The kitchen had a full size fridge, sink, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher. I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was for all that.The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars for the rooms is because the showers were a bit small and the showerheads were a little rusty and unmovable. Other than that, I have no complaints.The breakfast had tons of delicious food and everything was fresh. The pool was cold but comfortable and pretty spacious in a beautiful outdoor patio area.I loved the experience and would recommend staying at this hotel if you're looking for an affordable stay near Mahwah.

Stayed here for 6 nights with the family, and the place was very nice, and so was the staff. I was very impressed with the way the hotel looked, just like the pictures. While I was here, the roof was getting done, but luckily, we stayed on the first floor, so it wasn't as loud and still was able to sleep in. I loved the fact that they are pet friendly hotel, and they had a water bowl and treats out for dogs. They also have a picture of their pup by the check-in desk, and I thought this was adorable. Although I didn't travel with my pups on this trip, it was nice to know they care about other people's pets just as much as their own! I was able to meet their pup, which was very friendly and happy to get back rubs. The first floor hallways did smell a little bit like you could tell dogs were marking, but they did try their best to control the smell they did have ordor eliminator fans running 24/7 in said hallways and they would spray or powder the hallway carpets. I also appreciated the fact that they had ice cream and detergent in the lobby by the front desk. I will definitely come and stay at this hotel again. I had such a great experience which made the trip that much more enjoyable and worry free!

This is the far best homewood suites by Hilton my husband and I have encountered. My husband and I travel a lot for both work and leisure. We have been to every Hilton chain including homewood suites by Hilton, Hampton Inn, Hilton resorts, Hilton Garden inn and etc. General Manager David provided exceptional, above and beyond customer service. This is the only location I’ve seen providing complimentary soup, salad, cheese and crackers, wine and beer. The room is fully equipped with kitchen appliances. The layout of the room is best because it provides privacy if you are not by yourself. Mattress is exceptionally comfortable. Full fridge and full size dish washer is not available in other hotels which I appreciate this hotel for having it. Thank you David for your exceptional and wonderful customer service. I had security issues with Hilton Grand vacation, but you made a total difference for me to reconsider Hilton chain in a positive way. Thank you again to David and his staff and I recommend this hotel to anyone because I’ll be returning to this location every time I’m in NY or NJ. It’s very convenient location because its 30-45 min to some part of Manhattan, and 30 min to Fort Lee which is right near George Washington bridge.

We just had a terrible experience with the staff!One of the staff members had sent us a proposal for a family reunion. We accepted the proposal and were awaiting an email response. When the response didn't come we called and they claimed to have sent an email requesting a deposit.The sales manager messed up and sent the email to herself and the hotel instead of us! now some of the rooms were not available anymore!!!We then spoke to the supervisor who refused to work with us at all regarding taking smaller rooms and perhaps giving us a slight discount, as we would now need more rooms. HE WAS OUTRIGHT RUDE AND THIS WAS AFTER HIS HOTEL MESSED UP!! He proceeded to say he does not want to work with our family!!!WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO WORK WITH SUCH PEOPLE!!!

Front desk very warm and welcoming. Started off good.Dog friendly - $50 non-refundable fee. We travel with a very well behaved smaller sized dog. Dog families are put on first floor which is better for taking the dog for walks. Rooms are very spacious. Bed was comfortable. Room well-appointed with refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher. Toiletries supplied. Bathroom was clean enough. Dusty in corner of floors. Furniture could use updating.Nice blackout curtains. Doors between living area, bathroom, and bedroom. Large closets with plenty of hangers. Two TVs. Couldn't get a guide channel of program info which was annoying. First floor was noisy. Request a top floor room. Free breakfast was great. Get there early. Hotel is well located to many restaurants and shopping. Right off main hwy.

Had an awesome stay at this hotel, y'all! The room was super clean, and the staff were just amazing – really helpful and friendly. Honestly, everything was on point. Plus, the location was perfect – we were just half an hour away from all the cool spots like American Dream, NYC, and Legoland. So many great places to eat nearby, too!And hey, for all you wine and beer lovers, there's an incredible store close by that you gotta check out. Best part? This hotel is totally kid and pet friendly, so the whole fam can come along. 10/10 would recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here at the Hilton. My room was clean, and had a pleasant armor when I walked through the door.However, when I arrived and entered through the rear door. The stench of cat/dog was so strong I had to cover my nose, and sprint through the hallway. It didn't help that the middle elevator was out of order.Would I stay again yes, however I would avoid walking on that floor at all cost .

The location is very close to everything , Ramapo reserves & close to the church where we attended the wedding. Staffs are very attentive and friendly especially Monica, who is very helpful.Alot of food choices on their breakfast. Clean and spacious room. Highly recommended.

My family and I have stayed at the Homewood Suites for the past few years. During the past few recent stays, it's apparent that the cleanliness of the hotel has really gone downhill. During this last stay, the room was pretty dirty - carpets were clearly not cleaned and smelled like pets (both in the room and the hallway). It was so bad that my allergies/sinuses were clogged and we have a dog at home so this was a noticeable difference.Additionally, the smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling in the bedroom, one of the lamps did not have a bulb, and the overall suite had signs of wear and tear. It didn't help that housekeeping is still not coming on a regular basis and will only come once if you stay for more than 4 nights. While this may be due to staffing shortages, it's clear that it's negatively impacting the cleanliness of the hotel.All of the staff were very friendly and helpful during the stay. The fitness center was pretty nice and the complimentary breakfast had a lot of choices. However, the hotel was fully booked when we stayed, which was apparent at breakfast because it was so crowded there was no room to sit and it was hard to get through the line.We've always enjoyed staying here, but since the cleanliness does not seem to be improving, we will look elsewhere in the area next time we visit.

A very nice suite hotel.We had a two-bedroom suite. It was a TRUE 2-bedroom suite - two bedrooms with private bathroom, repeatedly. One bedroom had two queen beds and another one had a king bed. There was a mini kitchen including a full size fridge, stove, microwave, etc.The entire suite was large. You won’t feel crowded for two couples, or even with little kids.The complimentary breakfast was fairly good as well, with sausages, eggs, potatoes, oats meals, fresh fruits, juices, yogurt, toasts, muffins, milk, coffee and tea.And, the nightly rate was affordable.
