I have no clue where to even start. But I will forever continue to recommend Dr. Anacker & his team to anyone who needs a compassionate vet. Dr. Anacker is truly one of the best vets I have ever seen. They are always so willing to help even if it requires same day appointments. Almost two months ago my dog Daisy was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Anacker did a fabulous job with the surgery, helped me do everything I could for her to keep her as comfortable as possible, until my sweet Daisy’s time came to an end. I can’t thank Dr. Anacker & his team enough for being so patience, understanding & caring with me & my best friend who is now forever in my heart ❤️10 / 10 recommend Dr. Anacker & his team they are truly an amazing team!

A true angel on earth. That’s the only way I can describe Dr. Vorhies. He genuinely loves animals and is so kind. He gave my sweet Maggie an entire extra year of life and for that I am forever grateful. I wish I lived closer so that I could come here for my other dogs health needs because this vet office truly does everything for their patients and are just the best people. I’ll never forget how much they did for my Maggie.

This place is great!!!! My dog had an ear infection and was able to get seen same day. Veterinary doctor and staff were amazing. I came 10 min late and saw me right away. Service was excellent!!!!I'd definitely recommend them

My pets have been under the care of Dr Michael Anancker before he joined Dr Voorhees at CVC, I think he has been our veterinarian for at least 15 years if not more. He is the kindest and most caring vet I have ever encountered. He takes the time necessary to spend with your pet and makes sure you understand what is going on. He ALWAYS calls to follow up, even on his days off. This is the amazing veterinarian that he is:My girl, Zen, had a c section by a different vet. Late yesterday afternoon we noticed that the incision was bleeding a little. Nit a huge amount but bright red drop kept formng and oozing out. I freaked! I called the vet who did the procedure. We tried a few things without resolution. Vet informed me that by the time we could get to their facility (an hour away) that they would be closed; try my local vet. I called Dr Anacker and he listened patiently to what was going on and what we did. He told me that although he was the only vet on that night and already overbooked that we should bring Zen over for him to examine and make some decisions. God Bless him!!! He juggled us in between his scheduled patients and never acted stressed. He helped me calm down and educated me about how incisions can sometime be. He was not worried about the oozing but sent us home with antibiotics to be safe and instructions. I was 100% calmer after the visit and Zens incision had stopped oozing by this afternoon. Dr Anacker, on his day off, even called to check up on both Zen and her puppy. Have not heard a word from the vet who did the actual procedure. Complete Veterinary Care and its wonderful staff can not be beat! They care for our animals as if they were their own. Thank you Dr Anacker!

I can’t say enough nice things about this place. Recently we had to put our family cat down and as terrible as the situation was, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Dr. Anacker is incredibly empathetic and patient. He gave us as much time as we needed to process what was happening. Today we got a hand written letter from him expressing his deepest sympathy for our loss. That meant more to my family and I than he will ever know. If you are looking for a vet for ANY reason, this is the place to go.

Dr Anacker goes above and beyond. His prices are extremely reasonable and his follow up is superb. Whatever you spend at appointments, he returns in time spent making sure your pet responds to the treatment. Highly recommend his compassionate care.

We love Dr Vorhies! We followed him to his new practice from our town where he worked for a while for others. We would follow him just about anywhere. He is wonderful with our babies and with us, always has been. He truly truly cares about the animals and he is honest and straightforward. I can not say enough of good things about Complete Veterinary Care! Very clean office, doctor and staff are such a nice people, made me very comfortable taking my kitten here for neutering. Everything went smoothly, they took a really good care of him. Will definitely be going back to Dr. Vorhies for well visits and vaccinations.

We have been taking our three dogs to Dr Mike Anaker since they were puppies at his old practice (11 years now!). He always answers all of our questions and takes exceptional care of our dogs. He’s knows each of their issues and is so good with them. We are now making the 30 minute trip to Lincoln Park because that’s how much we trust Dr Anaker. We highly recommend him and Dr Vorhies for all your veterinary needs!

Dr Vorhies and his staff are all fantastic. Our dog had a rare deadly disease not known to this part of the country, but he knew / studied up on it and treated our dog back to health. He is so good and prices are so reasonable that I drive from Manhattan 35 mins to his office.

My kitten had a very worrisome obstruction caused by a nasal polyp in her throat. Dr. Anacker successfully removed the large polyp. He was very attentive to my concerns and promptly returned my phone calls to answer questions before and after the surgery. My kitten is doing so much better now thanks to Complete Veterinary Care!

I am a little closer now and will likely start using them as my regular vet. My sister travels from Cranford because they are so great with her sweet yet temperamental Akita.

We were so upset when we went back to the animal hospital for our pup after he had a relapse and found out Dr. Vorhies was no longer there. Luckily the receptionist told me he had gone and started his own practice! He has been dealing with our dog from the beginning and treating him for a rare condition known to his breed. He is the reason our pup is still alive and well! He is so helpful, honest, and always there to talk to when ever you need him. He is always there for an emergency after hours and is so considerate of what you're going through as a pet parent. I have recommended him to as many people as possible because I truly feel he is the best!

My dog, Paco, was dying, and looked completely weak. Before I brought him here, he was in terrible shape and did not want to eat or drink. I've been to other vets and they did not catch anything my dog had. My family and I heard about this place from our neighbor, and decided to go right away. Once we brought him there, Dr. Vorhies knew what was wrong with him, and took great care of him; it was amazing. The staff and front desk lady were absolute dears, and were the sweetest. After bringing Paco home, he felt better. The work that Dr. Vorhies did on him was just amazing. On the same day, Paco then started to eat food, and even being able to walk around more, than he did so before. This place has been wonderful, and will continue to come here more often to make sure our dog stays in great shape and condition! I highly recommend this place. If you want your pet to feel better, I do recommend Dr. Vorhies and this clinic.

Been to quite a few veterinarian’s but Dr. Robert L. Vorhies, DVM, puts the others to shame. This veterinarian actually listens to you, gives you and your pet the time needed to discuss and explain any diagnosis, treatment or procedures. He thoroughly answers any questions you can possibly throw at him and always calls to make sure everything is OK afterward. You don’t leave the office feeling like you are were rushed through and he always seems to be available when needed.I don’t think I ever left a review on Google before but felt compelled considering your pet is family and they could be missing quality care if or when needed.

Today, I came home from work and found my 12 year old beloved dog very ill. He was vomiting and have bloody diarrhea. My regular Vet was closed. I found Dr. Vorhies with a Google search. This wonderful Doctor and his devoted staff immediately took us in. Dr Vorhies was knowledgeable and very kind to my Charlie as well as my whole family. He gently treated my pup and even gave me his phone number in case I was worried over night. I was so impressed that I am seriously considering changing my veterinarian.

There's a reason why everyone who posted prior to me have been raving about the staff and Dr. Vorhies!My experience:I noticed some blood in my dog's urine and immediately took him to my local vet. The vet is very busy because it is located in a city, but it is walk-in based-no appointments. The doctor took x-rays and did the necessary routines, but also recommended that he get his shots that were due. She gave him his shots and asked that I schedule an appointment for surgery, if possible.I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Vorhies because my cousin went there when her dog was diagnosed with bladder stones. Dr. Vorhies stated that my dog needed surgery right away due to the risk of bladder obstruction, especially in male dogs. Of course, Dr. Vorhies did not want to talk badly about the vet I just came from, but the nurse informed me that it was odd for the first vet to recommend shots since this was a pretty urgent situation.After a successful surgery, Dr. Vorhies gave me all the information I needed to care for my dog and told me what I should expect. He called the next day to follow-up, which most vets don't do, and reassured me that I could reach him any time if I had any concerns.Overall, I highly recommend Complete Veterinary Care because of the amazing staff who really know how to care for the animals and the animals' owners.

Since moving to the area we had yet to have the need to find a Veterinarian locally. Our little fuzzy friend had a little bit of an incident today and after trying EVERY major (highly advertised) animal hospital in the area and only getting voicemail and promises it was so refreshing to have Dr. Vorhies answer the phone so quickly on a Saturday night! He gave us great advice and showed genuine concern, compassion and empathy- before we've even met in person, even offering to see our little buddy on his day off! I brought my cat there who is the support Animal they were aggressive with him for no reason! The vet was also not honest with me stating that he advises me to give my cats shots every year which it specifically in the American veterinarian medical Association that they should get it every three years not every year seems like a money grab to me.

Years ago when first opened, I shouted this vets name everywhere I went. Recently I had an experience that will sadly make me never bring my doggy daughter back here. The doc since I rescued Tru had always cut her nails. Recently she went and I had made an appointment I was priced an up price never had I paid for three years. doc told me I shouldnt show up without appointment, which btw I live walking distant and had showed up previous with out appointment and he showed no concern so I’m used to him being amazing, however this time I had made an appointment which the girl behind the counter ensured him I did when he rudely called me out for not. Then he proceded to tell me since I did not want to pay the up change to go somewhere else from now on like a groomer like he was above cutting a dog nails even tho I have been a loyal costumer and avodcate of his since he opened. It was A few dollars difference but as a loyal costumer who gained him many patientsI felt I deserved to b grandfathered in to initial prices. I thought maybe he was having have bad day but nope never heard from apologizing. I post this month later calmly. I am sad bc I thought he was wonderful and I will never ever bring my precious baby to him again.

OMG. I couldn't have had a better experience. Will never go anywhere else. I took my brother's norfolk terrier there because he hurt his paw. he had already been taken to another vet in bernardsville who wanted to "put him on pain killers and if he's still in pain after two weeks, we'll x-ray it" then, they wanted to sell him insurance. I heard about this place from the Montville animal shelter. I have 3 dogs and will never go anywhere else. so fair, so kind, great hours (3 late nights) . he spent so much time evaluating, shaved down the paw and explained exactly what was wrong. my brother was so thrilled and relieved that he was given topical meds. the vet was sure no x-rays were needed and recommended that we hold off giving the little guy pain killers. my brother is letting everyone we know. me took.. what a great find!

Dr Vorhies and staff are great brought my Bengal kitten in to be spayed and she recovered very quickly. Dr Vorhies is always available to take phone calls and if he misses a call its returned very quickly off hours.
