Small local feeling Asian market that has much more than just East Asian groceries. You can find a wide variety of dry goods, beverages, staples, kitchen tools etc.Rice flour, pad thai rice noodles, banana ketchup, masa harina are some of the ingredients you can't easily find except here.

This place had fresh vegetables and fruits, it was clean and tidy, and it was a very pleasant place where a kind old Korean female cashier always welcomed me.However the young Korean cashier didn't respond even when I greeted her. It isn’t first time.And speak in half-tongue to make me feel worse.Also the eco bag I carried is all I need to pack. She never helped me even the customer behind me.A convenient supermarket so close, but I won't be visiting any more.

They're open on New Year's day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. They are Wawa of fresh meats & produce, so some things are going to be more expensive. Best available selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables, both marinated and fresh Korean BBQ meats and seafood, as well as Asian spices and specialty foods.Also, there is a deli department that has Boar's Head cold cuts. Great go-to place to pick up that last-minute missing ingredient or do your weekly grocery shopping. Nearly everything is jammed into this surprisingly small space without it feeling cramped.

I usually go to the one in Edison but was in the area for takeout so decided to drop by to pick up some Asian groceries. There is no parking lot but plenty of street parking available outside of the stores. It is much smaller and comparable to a large-scale bodega. Fresh produce available but not as much quantity or variety as the Edison Hmart. It is definitely a lot less crowded though. There is a large selection of RTE meals and even a small fresh seafood section. There was only 1-2 checkout lines open when we went. It is kind of hard to social distance in the small store so please keep that in mind.

i usually come here to shopping, but i will never be back , yesterday i came there to shopping, i alway believe in h mart, i believe in every item of them, so i don't check date of expire , i think minimum expire about few month but, its just 1 day, i cant believe that, when i buy something i dont think i will eat all only one day, so just expire only 1 day its not make sense. i never believe them again.

This is a neighborhood gem. Produce and meat is fresh and cheap. The cleanest, best deli in the area, and a great place for quick grocery trips. Parking is usually not too bad, but you may not find a spot right in front. Canned and boxed groceries are not as cheap but they conveniently have a pretty wide selection of groceries for a small store.

A very nice, well run medium sized market with, not surprisingly, a huge amount of fresh and packaged Korean goods. The high point is an excellent deli counter, with loads of freshly prepared delicacies.

Will never go to this supermarket ever again. Small, overpriced, not so many variety and if you want to buy seafood but the person in that department is in lunch you have to wait until they come back which is ridiculous. Never seen such a thing

its ok. not bad except for the fishy strong smell. besides that very good .*Update 4 years later O9/O9/21.*This store has grown so much, Im very proud of them. The fruits and veggies are always Fresh. I am a frequent custumer and get to see their season items. The store is very convenient.

It has a good selection of fruits and vegetables, but almost always very pricey. However when there is a sale, I buy a large amount because the quality of their produce is outstanding. I rarely buy other items because their prices are too high, even CVS beats their prices.

The store is immaculate. Given the current circumstances I'm skeptical about shopping for produce anywhere but I'm so comfortable and confident here. The staff is helpful and enthusiastic when I'm looking for Asian ingredients I've never used before. Do yourself a justice and stop by. You won't regret it.

I've been shopping here for 4 years since we moved here and I don't know what I would do without this market. They always have everything I need, from fresh produce to seafood. It's amazing what they carry in such a small space. I'd have to move if they left. ;)

Basically the ONLY grocery store in town and couldn't be happer that its HMart. They have primarily Korean items. They have the best produce section, veggies and fruits are really fresh. Fish and dairy sections are small but good, the dairy section feels overpriced. We go regularly for fresh fruits and veggies. Not your regular grocery store, but great if you need a few items you forgot on your usual run.

Before buying fish fillets, I asked if they were fresh. Employee told me that they were very fresh. However, I cooked the day I bought fish fillets. They were rotten. I could not eat any of them. Would not recommend this place due to dishonesty.

Great little local grocery store- this used to be the Leonia Market. They have most of the items you would need on a regular basis, including fresh fruit and vegetables (that I find most of the time to be superior than the produce at other local store like ShopRite), fresh meats, an entire seafood section with live crabs and such, a freezer section, Japanese snack section, regular American snacks, a deli counter, and 2 registers. Love being able to get most of what I need at a local place!

H Mart Leonia is a fantastic Korean supermarket. I purchase fresh fish and vegetables there, which are always fresh. Although the supermarket is small, it has an excellent selection, very good prices, and you can get in and out quickly. The marinated meats are delicious.

This is a mart size, rather than supermarket size.Sometimes for sale prices aren't clearly labeled and options are not as good as the super hmart, but it is convenient - closer to home and less crowds.Great place to go if you only need to pick up a few select items. For more bulk orders I'd go to superhmart or costco :)Be sure to join membership and collect points.

Very convenient location with plenty of parking. The isles are a little narrow and but there is a good selection and I found everything I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend and will definitely visit again.

Look for the nicest employee/cashier there, her name is Hiromi-san! I go there when I need something quick but really don't feel like going to the supermarket! They have good coverage on majority of the stuff you would need and the prices aren't crazy. Avoid after school hours as there is an elementary school nearby. The main intersection can get just a tad crazy then. BTW! There is a deli there, I never got the name of my sandwich maker (I call him "sir"), but the sandwiches there are really good! The prices should be more, but don't tell them that! Also, it's a Korean specialty grocery store, but I see alot of the other cultures shop there.

Downside is no parking and limited items offered. Upside is convenience and never too crowded. Nice to pop in and grab couple of stuff and pop out. Free street parking right outside usually
