Stood at the service desk for 10inutes waiting for assistanceNo one in the office. Finally saw who I'm assuming is the manager and she decided to stop and chat with someone while she saw me waiting for assistance. Will never shop here againYour customer service is a joke.

Small store , the Cashiers are great , there is always someone near to help you find something. The prices are average. The sales are good and the 4 for $19.99 meats ,saves you money.

Obviously the people ( ower/ employees)here either don't care , or don't shop here . Like others in the near by towns , I rely on the local grocery stores for every day necessities and food for my toddler. You would think that Acme leadership would expect the highest experience and quality from each store , no matter where it is . This is apparently wrong and very disappointing. The two pix included are just a few examples of what I've seen every visit . Not over a reaction, every visit for probably a year now. At first I thought by telling the cashiers and other employees about it , it would be taken care of. Nope. So after each time I've asked a row of expired food to be looked at , a spill to be taken care of , and shelfs to actually have what they say they would stock , it was just giving me lip service. Very sad. If who is reading this is in anyway is in a position to do something about it , please take action today . Not tomorrow. Today.

Mid-sized store but with very narrow aisles.

Smaller, older store with narrow isles that can get very crowded and prices are higher than average grocery in the area. However, the employees are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Terrible customer service! I just visited this store with my family. We heard acme had some new chicken flavors and were curious to try. We stood at the counter for several minutes before going to customer service to get assistance. The employee that came back said there is only one person working that department and he was cooking and couldn't stop. We asked how long the wait was and he said he doesn't know. This employee then went back to the front and began to talk about my family because we found his answer less than helpful. Several employees were standing around doing nothing but yet no one could help us. Upon exiting the store I overheard this man mocking my mom so I said so after not helping us you then talk about us, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Then we left. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS ACME AGAIN AND I ADVISE YOU NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME.

This place is awful across the board. I hope every year it goes away and we can get a Trade Joe's or Aldi.. Wishful thinking.

5 stars is mostly for the staff there. Every cashier I've seen are always friendly. If you need help they are there and help immediately. I've lived in the same town most my life and many of the workers are the same as when I was younger. They are all so warm and friendly. The store itself is old so its pretty small. They don't have a bakery which stinks. There's only a small table with some bakery items. Isles are tight esp if they are stocking the shelves. The store is usually clean and well kept. Areas of the parking lot need to be repaved and the one side entrance/exit if you don't go very very slow you bang the bottom of your car. It's a nice small store, usually has what you need. Wish they would make it larger but it's sort of a landmark in Clayton which is special as it is. Often your in and out. The lines depending on the time can get long but they quickly open other registers when they see the lines grow. I've never ready had to wait in line to to long. Great hometown store!

The local Clayton Acme is really only there when you need odds and ends kind of like a corner store only because this Acme wants to charge about three times the price of any other food store. So Walmart is always the best I find for getting food around here the Super Center other than that Acme is the last place we like to go even though it's in walking distance to my house

Very old story like in the 60s. Most it's in the sale circular you won't find here but it's a nice store the in and out type of shopping. The employees are extremely helpful as I'm disabled they will go out of their way to help me. It's much appreciated.

Still improving and providing quality products at affordable prices. Most of employees have been employed along time and are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. They have fresh herbs that other local bigger stores don’t carry.

It’s more a convenience store than a grocery store. They don’t have much to choose from. The produce looks they are just dying. Yes produces go to this store to die.

Prices are good, but a lot of foods are very close to expiration dates. You have to pay attention. Store is dirty looking. Staff was very friendly.

I live no exaggeration 2 minutes up the road from this specific Acme and I hate coming here. It’s just so convenient when you need to grab a few things. But I hate the customer service I get almost every time I go. Last night 7/23 I stopped there to get milk and ended up spending over 100 on extra items and Scott rang me up and was so incredibly unprofessional. No greeting what so ever, in fact he ignored my fiancé and myself, then he wouldn’t let me enter my phone number and his reasoning was “he totaled It already and he’d have to ring my items up again which he didn’t want to do because they were closing”. He was very rude to me and when I said I wanted to speak to a manager he laughed and said there wasn’t a manager. He continued to follow me and listen to me speak to the leader on duty “cat” at the time after I asked a number of times that I’d like to speak to her privately. He found me amusing and I didn’t appreciate the lack of respect and curtisy I received tonight. Again, another awful experience. We used to go here often for money orders and large grocery orders. I’d rather drive to ShopRite 10 mins up the road or somewhere else 15,20 mins away than be treated this way. Also, I was looking for a container of ice cream (specific flavor) that wasn’t beat up and I mentioned it to him and he replied “their all beat up and dirty because the freezers were down and they had to throw them in the back” whatever that means… gross! Really? “Dirty” I didn’t even say that to him, just beat up. This is a grocery store and that’s what he said. Completely turned away after this experience

***Online Order***So I finally tried the shop online and have my food delivered. App worked great. However I didn't get my whole order all my produce was missing carrots, sage, celery etc. All the fixings for my dressing. They were great about giving me a refund. But no empathy about my missing produce. So much for trying to avoid the shopping crowds. Would have been nice if she had offered to have it dropped off or even a curbside pick up.

This little acme is kind of a gem. Depending on what you need. I love that it's small. It has alot of stuff for such a small store. Being physically disabled makes it hard for me to walk around the other stores that are basically warehouses! This acme is my go to for most things. Prices are good. You really have to watch the dates on the meats tho. Buy it,vacum seal it and freeze it right away and it's all good.

Produce was soggy and discolored. It's hard to find anything in the aisle. Everything is over priced. I avoid this store except for in emergencies

I didn't necessarily have a bad experience at this location. Price is a bit higher than other supermarkets. Grabbed coffee creamer, which was sticky/wet from what I guess was creamer that leaked onto the rest of the containers. Could have been an easy fix while the shelf was being stocked. Needless to say, I left with significantly less money and stickier hands than when I entered. Staff was friendly but seemed eager to leave.

Quick and convenient shopping. They have somewhat decent prices guess since being the only grocery store in town they can raise prices here and there. and being so small of a store theres a decent amount of different products to choose from.

Great staff. Working here is wonderful.-Okay so I'm going to edit this and mind you this is 6 months after my initial review. I worked in the deli, it's absolutely horrible. I was told I would get at least 20 hours when I was hired. So why was I getting 4 hours and 8 hours? This place has cockroaches all over the store. The store director will berate her employees in front if customers. Please don't shop here or send your loved ones here to work.

This store is a great local convenience and generally has all the items that are needed. I find great healthy options here. I am only concerned that in the past the meat temps in the fridge were noted above 40 degrees, I tend to still look to this day, although recently they have been within range. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I like going here.

I like how this location is not very big at all! I can run in for just a couple things and get out quickly! With that being said, this convenience is definitely reflected in the price of most items at any Acme, but especially here.As long as you're in & out during a quieter time of day, the store won't feel small & crowded (thanks to the extra tall front window-wall!) Covid definitely has me missing be able to use a basket instead of a full sized cart... I now 100% refuse to go during any possible "rush".I wouldn't do my "normal" food shopping here, but it's perfect when I need just a small amount of multiple items!

The young manager with longer hair on the weekends is not aware or is ignorant to the fact that he needs to jump on a register when lines are long. The shelves are not fronted. Sale items missing. It's a food store to run in and get what I need. Overall appearance could be better.

Not a bad store but small and not well stocked. Very minimal bakery, which is one of Acme's strong points. No prepared foods to speak of. Probably worth it to drive over to Woodstown if you have the time.

My family and specially my mom likes those free deals very much. Also sometimes they put various ice-cream brands on good sale price. We love those ham and frozen chicken wings and nuggets here at cheap price. Love to go shoppe with mom very often.

Really want to like this acme, but I had to leave because the bananas were gross and the avocados were worse. The people that work here are super friendly, but the store itself is a dump. I go there because it's empty and quick to get in and out but it needs attention to compare to the ShopRite across the street. Right now it's like they aren't even trying.

This place Jack's up the price of their meats then runs a sale in them @BOGO. You could buy a whole farm for the price they put their chickens. This promo has been going on forever...NOBODY DOES THAT!!!Furthermore, the store in Clayton NJ needs not only a price reduction on the majority of their items but also needs a major remodeling. This building is run down and badly lit. Hate this store!!!

This place is like the supermarket that time forgot. Inside is like 1985. I know Albertsons isn't focusing much on Acme since most of them are gone, but this store -- which has served Clayton for decades -- could use at least an interior remodel.
