Great pharmacy staff (shoutout Jonathan) but it’s a shame that the public is unable to utilize them during the hours posted on RiteAids website. Website currently states 9 am - 8 pm for the pharmacy and 8 am - 8 pm for the store itself. I visited today at 7:45 pm to pick up my mothers prescriptions who was just discharged from the hospital after being critically ill days before. I arrive 15 mins before close and the front door is closed and locked. I can see a cashier standing at the register closest to the doors, and I knock to inquire why the door is locked if they advertise being open till 8 pm. The woman refuses to acknowledge my presence and stares forward the entire time. She wasn’t cleaning the store, shutting down POS systems, just standing there. Unprofessional to close the store 15+ minutes early, and worse to not acknowledge a customers presence and admit the reasoning behind the close. My whole visit would’ve taken less than 3 minutes at the pharmacy itself. I have visited this location before anywhere from 15-10 minutes to close and the front door has never been locked. I get closing the door 5 minutes early (if the store is packed) but 15? In the dead of winter? In fact, there were no customers in the store when I visited, which makes me wonder what time they really closed the doors. CVS down the street has never done that, winter or summer. I’ve worked for a pharmacy chain before and never did we or the pharmacy close early let alone lock customers out. Locking the door before the posted time and not acknowledging your customers is both rude and unnecessary. If your employees want to close at 7:45 pm then you need to update your website reflecting that. Worst of all your lone cashier stood there doing absolutely nothing while I stood outside trying to pickup a prescription. If your cashier can stand up front from 7:45-8:00 pm then there is no reason she cannot work the posted hours and leave the door open. If you’re going to close the door at least clean or leave the building. Locking the door and standing still for 15 minutes shows there was no reasoning behind closing early other than laziness. An easy 15 mins of nothing while on the clock. Said laziness reflects poorly on RiteAid itself and also the pharmacy as both entities state they are open till 8 pm.

This Rite Aid store is extremely excellent. Everyone who works there including the druggists are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are always very kind and respectful to their customers.

This pharmacy has the most knowledgeable pharmacists and the ladies that work there are top notch. I wouldn’t think of visiting another store in the area with the customer service you receive there. Love my local Rite Aid 💕

The manager David was extremely helpful and caring when I was shopping in the store. He is clearly very smart and knowledgeable about all of the products, especially the vitamins and supplements. It's also really evident that he cares about his appearance and clearly works out alot and can probably lift a TON of weight in the 4 main powerlifting lifts; bench, deadlift, squat, and overhead press. I will definitely shop there more frequently just to peep his amazing body.

I just walked in to the Lavallette Rite Aid for my Covid vaccine. Admittedly, I was a bit anxious but the Pharmacy staff was amazing and put me at ease immediately. I was in and out in 20 minutes (including the 15 minute observation period)! Thanks to these kind people for their care and compassion.

This review is regarding the Rite Aid pharmacy department of the Lavallette store. Recently, we were on vacation nearby when we discovered we did not have enough important medication with us. This was truly an urgent situation, as we were unable to reach the doctor and needed medicine or we would have to visit a local hospital for care. I called the pharmacy for help and Shirley who works there was incredibly calm and helpful. She gave suggestions on ways we could remedy the situation, and when i stopped in at the store to talk to Jonathan, the pharmacist, about it, he went the extra MILE to call our doctor, as well as our mail-in prescription company to be able to fill the RX and avoid a true medical emergency. I can't thank them enough for being kind, patient, caring and, most of all, handling our Rx needs quickly and efficiently. I won't use another pharmacy ever when visiting that area of the Jersey shore.
