We had an amazing experience adopting through Animal Alliance. The application process was easy and Diane was wonderful in helping us throughout the process and Annie was there with us for the meet and greet. It is clear that they both care deeply for the animals and want to make sure that each animal goes to the right fit. We were given Maggie's medical records, a brand new leash and harness and a bunch of goodies to help with her transition. Once she is settled and we are ready to find her a brother, we will definitely be reaching out to Animal Alliance again!

The adoption process was the best experience we have ever had. Diane was wonderful helping us get the right fit for our family. She helped us adopt Bella 7 years ago and helped us adopt Pluto a week ago. We are over the moon happy with both dogs. Both Pluto and Bella were chipped, neutered/spayed and up to date on all their vaccinations. Many thanks to Animal Alliance and to all the volunteers.

Long before we adopted our dog Daisy from Animal Alliance, we knew of their great organization through our good friend Allison. She has fostered numerous dogs over the years regardless of their situation. She took in pregnant dogs who had their pups in her home where she did not hesitate to keep and care for all of them and coordinate meet and greets with prospective families. Through Allison we learned of the dedication of the organization in coordinating fostering events and ensuring that every person involved in the fostering program was committed to providing top notch care and availability to get the animals to medical appointments, fostering events, meeting new families, etc. Daisy was born at Belle Mead, one of Hattie's seven pups. As soon as they were weaned, Allison picked them up and took them all home. We fell in love with Daisy and immediately wanted to adopt. Previously we met Annie and knew of her steadfast devotion to all animals in her care. Her concern for the welfare of all pets at Animal Alliance is noticeably apparent when the adoption process is started. She seems to know each animal individually and the meet and greet between the family, pet, and Annie is very personal. Her goal is to have full confidence that when the adoption is completed, the pet and the family are a perfect match, and the pet will have a good life as a new member of the family. At all times, communication was immediate and clear. We highly recommend Animal Alliance if you are looking for a new member of the family or if you are looking for a very worthy charity that is committed to the care and welfare of all animals. I can not thank Animal Alliance enough! We found the perfect fur baby for us after the loss of our senior chihuahua. I did not expect to fall in love so easily, nor did my husband, but we did. Loki is such a loving addition to the family.The team at Animal Alliance truly focuses on pairing you with your perfect companion. ‘Pedro’, who is now Loki, is our perfect match. Instant connection.The whole adoption process was amazing. From the initial application, contact, to meet & greet, superb! My favorite part of course is bringing Loki home!It’s been a day & Loki is such a loving boy, living his best life in his new furever home! He’s king of the castle!

The adoption process was the best experience we have ever had. The volunteers were terrific at picking the right dog for us. They took all the time we needed to make the decision. We have adopted dogs in the past and we were never given a dog who was chipped, given his medications for the next month, given a new harness and leashes, a bag of food and bowls!! They obviously treat their rescues very well because our dog settled into his new environment within two days. This place is exceptional.!Lina & Frank

My fiancé and I met Barney at an adoption event that Animal Alliance held. Barney was so sweet and friendly we immediately fell in love with him and knew had to have him. We applied for him on the drive home! A few days later we got an email saying that we were approved and we could make arrangements to pick him up. Rich was fostering him and was kind enough to drop Barney to us. He gave us a harness, leash, toys and poop bags when he dropped him off. We are so happy with our sweet pup and can’t thank Animal Alliance enough!

I have been supporting Animal Alliance for over 15 years and have referred many people to go there to find their forever fur baby. My mother adopted her dog from them and the whole experience was very quick and easy. I have also taken my pets to Animal Alliance for vet care and have been very happy every time. They truly care about their animals and do the best job in caring for and homing them. I encourage anyone looking for a pet to adopt, don’t shop, and try Animal Alliance of NJ FIRST!

Our experience at animal alliance was absolutely wonderful! Diane was so helpful with making the process seamless and Annie is truly amazing with all her years of experience with pairing dogs! I love the fact that they just don’t give their pets away to anyone. I think it’s great that they meet all the family and pets involved so that their animals have the opportunity for best outcome possible! Pepper has found her forever home! What an amazing organization to adopt a pet from! We couldn't be happier with the people that work here -or with our little puppy who is such a perfect addition to our family. The staff at Animal Alliance helped my husband and I with so many little questions once we got Maui home - from the best food to get, crate training tips, medical advice when she had diarrhea and took the best care of her for her spay appointment. Animal Alliance really cares about all of the animals that they have and hope to adopt. I can't recommend this place more to help find your forever pet!

My family and I adopted Rummel from Animal Alliance in June 2023. When we picked up Rummel we were able to hangout with him, talk about his past, and decide if we wanted to adopt him (no pressure). We are so glad we came to Animal Alliance. We went on May 12th, so its been close to a month since our visit. It was about a 25 minute drive from where we are, but it was so worth it. Upon arriving we stayed in our vehicle (as requested) and were greeted immediately. After confirming why we were there(spay appointment & first vaccinations), they took our Lucy and gave us a pickup time. That afternoon we picked up Lucy, paid, and said our goodbyes. She was very sleepy, but pain free. The experience was wonderful. We never had any issues during the healing process. I recommend anyone go to Animal Alliance!

We had such a great experience with our recent new addition to our little pack! The whole application process was so quick, easy, and straight forward . Diane reached out promptly with some additional questions which I love knowing they are truly making sure their animals are going to good and safe homes! We were so fortunate to adopt a pup that Rich was fostering because he really does go above and beyond with socialization and getting them out & about in the real world! It’s so nice seeing so many adoption events in the area where the dogs can get out and meet lots of people-it’s the best way for them to get adopted! I highly recommend Animal Alliance, and I am so happy that we have a rescue of this caliber in our little community. Having worked in Rescue for 13 years, I can honestly say that this rescue embodies what I feel rescue should be. They are all about the animal and that doesn’t mean just saving highly adoptable, dogs and cats, but also those that need medical care, sometimes extensive and expensive, older dogs, and even those with chronic and congenital issues. I am currently fostering the sweetest boy that came into the rescue with a sight impairment and Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological condition that he was born with. When he needed rescue he could hardly walk, but the director made the decision to take him any way. With time, patience and lots of love, they taught him how to walk and go potty on his own. Not an easy feat. He is with me now, and I can honestly say he is one happy boy who brings joy wherever he goes. He wouldn’t have had the opportunity at a life at all if this dedicated rescue didn’t think he deserved a chance. Thank you Animal Alliance for your big heart, dedication and commitment to the animals in your care.

My husband and I recently rescued with Animal Alliance. I was a bit nervous, but also knew I didn’t want to spend thousands on a dog when so many are available.The two women who run this shelter were very professional and responsive. When I went with my husband to meet the dog it wasn’t a fit.Annie made me feel very comfortable and found us the perfect little dog. We are home with her for 2.5 weeks now and couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend them.

I am very happy with little Blossom and believe she is happy with me! Thanks so much for making her available for adoption and considering me the right person to give her a new home. I am making sure Blossom has the best life for the years remaining to her. She loves having the chance to go outside, roam around my rooms and enjoy treats, and wags her tail almost constantly! Despite the slightly strange but no less efficient adoption process, I was disappointed that some information and instruction given at the time proved inaccurate and faulty. When I asked what sort of toys Blossom liked, I was told by Annie "No toys! She's blind!"--- when the opposite is true. A blind animal needs distraction and activity. I was also told to keep her crated 24/7 and not to let her outside, and both rules were immediately broken. Blossom finds her way around here fine, from food dishes to bed and even climbs onto the couch using the pet stairs, despite not being able to see. I can appreciate AA does a great job rescuing pets and finding them new homes but perhaps fostering families have their hands full with healthy animals. Maybe Blossom being crated 24/7 with no toys or walks was the only care they could give a special needs (blind and senior) pet. Though I object with the faulty instructions, I am glad to have the chance to give little Blossom her best life.

I cannot say enough about the professional, caring and compassionate people from Animal Alliance. I have adopted two dogs from Animal Alliance and they both have been incredible and obviously cared for upon their arrival. The dogs are carefully screened upon their arrival and only placed after volunteers have been able to work with them to determine their readiness for adoption. Thank you Animal Alliance for caring!!
