Great aquarium shop with a very knowledgeable and friendly owner. Mike truly cares about the hobby and provides exceptional service. Not only do they stock healthy fish and inverts, they have a ton of nice house plants to browse. Each time I go in, I see Mike working hard, improving the store a bit each time. We are lucky to have an honest and local fish store in the area!

Truely the best aquatic store i’ve ever been too. owner is amazing. Staff is extremely friendly. the stock is phenomenal, and has an amazing array of odd ball fresh water and salt water fish. i come here 2-3 a week just to hang out with all the fish. great pricing and amazing location. worth the drive if you’re far.

I am so happy there is a fish store of such high quality so close to me. Pickfish Pets has amazing customer service, fish selections and products as well as an inviting environment. The other day I bought this stunning, and reasonably priced, betta fish. I went to three other fish stores that day and didn’t find of comparable quality and beauty. During one of the first few opening days I also got these amazing rainbow colored rocks that look super close to prism stone which I have been looking everywhere for. Lastly, I got this super cute plant, which I’ve never seen before, and was told in great detail how to care for it. I attached a low quality photo of it growing new leaves, lol. Overall very grateful for this store and will be a returning customer!!

I recently visited this Fish Pick Pets and had an exceptional experience. The variety of fish available is impressive, and the Mike’s knowledge and friendliness made the shopping process enjoyable. The store is well-maintained, creating a clean and welcoming environment. The quality of their fish is outstanding, and I appreciated the helpful advice provided by Mike in selecting rasboras and a rainbow fish. 5 stars for exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere.

PicKFish Pets located in Kenilworth is my first and only place I go to for my aquatic needs. I first came to Mike with no knowledge at all wanting to learn more and possibly start a tank. From the get go, every staff has been extremely patient, knowledgeable, and transparent in helping me start my aquarium.Any question you have they will have an answer. In store they have every product one might need for their tank from the little things like fish nets to multiple different types of soil/gravel/sand. There is an impressive variety in types of fish both fresh and salt water, crustaceans, and more. The prices here are amazingly reasonable and the products are always super high quality. You can find help for every part of your aquarium from the stand to the plants. I cannot express how special this place is nor how much I recommend it to anyone! If you’re in the area or not, PicKFish is worth the drive!! Thank you to Mike and the whole team!

I’m totally new to the hobby and wanted to get a starter tank set up, Mike (owner) has been more than willing to answer all of the dumb questions I have had. Most importantly he will be straight up and tell you if you are getting ripped off and only sell you stuff you really need. Just got my first set of fish acclimated (so far so good) and probably would still be in early phases had I not come here. Highly recommend this place!!

Went into this store on Sunday to look for plants for my boyfriend and I’s 29 gallon tank. We were greeted by Mike who was so friendly and welcoming. Mike showed us a bunch of plants that would fit what we were looking for our setup and answered any questions we had! This store is such a vibe and 100% will be going back to again. My boyfriend and I enjoyed just chatting as well! If you’re looking for a great fish shop salt and freshwater this is the spot to go!!!

Pick Fish is such a nice, quaint little shop with healthy, beautiful fish and plants. It is owned by man with a wealth of knowledge of fish, aquariums, and anything you need if you're a beginner all the way up to pro. He's worked with the top aquarium owners in NJ and you should definitely stop by and take a look. Well worth the trip.

I am so happy this gem came along when we were finally ready to welcome fish into our home! Mike is knowledgeable, caring, professional, and fair. Bonus, he doesn’t shy away from kids and is a pro at involving them in the process.The store setup is very inviting. There’s even a couch and a shelf of books for browsing.Very good variety of fish, natural decor, aquatic plants, and even house plants.I’ve been there with my family a few times already and I’ve seen Mike handle both novice and seasoned fish enthusiasts with the same level of respect and openness.Absolutely love this place and will be back many more times in the future.

I have been keeping tanks for many years, and Mike’s shop is arguably one of the best places I’ve been to. Not only do they have GREAT stock, but all of their fish look fantastic and healthy as well. (They have a huge assortment of driftwood, plants and rocks also!) Mike is awesome and answered every question I had. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Mike!

This place is incredible!! From the customer service, to the quality of fish this place is hands down the best fish store anywhere near. Mike the owner always knows his stuff and will spend however long you want or need talking to you about your tanks, fish, and will answer every one of your questions. He only seeks out the best and highest quality of fish crustaceans, invertebrates, and whatever else that you might want in your tank and this is from personal experience. Every single fish, shrimp, snail, plant, driftwood, I have gotten from here has become my favorite in my tanks and also the best looking. Seriously, from someone who has traveled hours away for fish, you’re not going to get anything better than PicKFish. Incredible place that I will ALWAYS come back to.

First time here and right from the beginning I felt like I was walking into a friend's house. I walked in look around and once I was ready the staff was friendly and full of helpful tips. Great atmosphere and well stocked with common and uncommon fish. Super organized and clean which is not common nowadays.

Mike is a hardworking, passionate, and earnest fish enthusiast! I don’t leave reviews often, but to help a local independent business owner like Mike I couldn’t help but do it.When it comes to the prices, it’s definitely less expensive than other fish stores as Mike includes great deals. The selection for the freshwater fish, plants, & driftwood is great. I’m not much of a saltwater guy so i don’t have an opinion on that aspect but I’m sure Mike will be able to help customers out with anything needed, Aquarist Anonymous therapy sessions are priced separately 😂

Made the trip from South Jersey because I’m tired of supporting places like PetSmart and PetCo. Worth the trip! I love that I’m not only supporting small, but I can find rare fish and plants that are in great condition and not for sale in my area! Mike and his staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about fish and aquatic life. They are more than happy to just talk with you about their own tanks and experiences. They also want to help you be as knowledgeable as possible before purchasing a fish from their store. If you need something Mike will have it or get it for you! It's really hard to ask for much more out of a fish shop! If you want to learn about fish they also have a cool library filled with different books on fishkeeping and aquascaping!The overall shop is extremely pretty and it is a great local buisness. If you are a begging fish keeper or a seasoned veteran this store will have something for you!BTW meet Red, my super red bristlenose pleco I bought from Mike just over a month ago now!

Very welcoming store. Feels like I’m shopping in someone’s living room. They even have lounge chairs and a library. Had a cup of coffee. Learned about a fish I saw in one of the books and then I ended up buying the fish. Will definitely be bask many more times. Highly recommend. 10/10

This store is awesome! It's clean, a huge selection of fish for fresh and salt water. No only that; thry have plants, food and more that it will take you to the next level with your fish tank.Mike is so knowledgeable and super friendly and help me a lot to make to correct selection.
